Novotel Praha Wenceslas Square - Прага 50.07452, 14.42552

I was quite surprised when I discovered the the Novotel Praha Wenceslas Square is actually about a 10 minute walk away from Wenceslas Square...but, truly, my favorite thing to do in Prague is to simply walk and see the city, so I didn't mind this. It's a pleasant walk from the hotel to New Town (the hotel is in New Town), Old Town and Wenceslas Square. These are my favorite sites to see, so I didn't mind this either, but if you plan to go further than Charles Bridge, this will be a hike.

Hotel location was good. 1 minutes away from the subway I.P. Pavlova station, and there was a tram line also. A little far to Old Town area, but we enjoyed walking. Hotel people are friendly and knowledgeable. Room was very good size. Hotel has a swimming pool and fitness center, so we also enjoyed that too. Hotel offers fixed rate taxi to the airport (and others), so we were very happy about that. Taxi price is very shady in Prague, so you should be very careful about that. Overall, we had a great stay at this hotel.

I had a pleasant experience at the Novotel Praha Wenceslas Square. The staff was very helpful and spoke English well. The rooms were very clean and the hotel has a gym, pool and jacuzzi. The lights on the bathroom mirror have a cool feature that doesn't allow the mirror to fog up. They have free internet on a computer in the lobby, but you have to pay for internet in your room. The rooms have AC, but it doesn't get very cool in the room. The location of the hotel was quite a walk from the Square, but once you figure out public transportation it's not so bad.

Hotel was nice and in a great location. Only a 15-20 minute walk to Charles Bridge and other sites. One block from the hotel is a subway station that will take you to the main train station or connect to the airport. The main train station is only two stops away.

This is the best Novotel facility that I have been to. My impression used to be that Novotel hotels were small, have cramped rooms and usually not very well located, until I used Novotal Praha Wenceslas in Prague last week. The wheelchair accessible room that was given to me was big and enabled me to have ample space to maneuver my power chair. The bathroom was fully accessible, too. Location is nice and having the tram station a short walking distance to the hotel is a bonus. The pool is clean and well maintained. The staff are nice and helpful. The food choices in the buffet breakfast is limited but this is compensated by the other amenities offered by the hotel. I will surely stay in this same hotel when my family and I visit Prague for holiday next summer.

This hotel ticks the boxes but nothing more. The lobby is drab. The rooms are well furnished and v. clean. The pool is cold and the gym is small (one running machine). I would recommend this hotel if you want to be sure what you get but dont want charm and atmosphere. Apart from that everything else was exactly as it should be.

Stayed for 3 nights on a holiday with my family. The hotel is located in a quiet off street and very close to the station IP Pavlova. Wenceslas Square is just about 8 minutes walk away and I would not like to stay on the square as it is a beehive of activities and cars. The hotel staffs were very friendly, helpful and efficient and happy to help even giving directions and recommending places of interest and arranging taxi. The lobby and public areas are spacious and welcoming. Free internet for 30 minutes, a gym that can have 8 -10 people at a period and sizeable pool that is well kept. The breakfast was of good standard but did not ask for any special. The room was regularly cleaned and comfortable but we found the cleaning detergent used in the bathroom very strong in the air. Overall I will return and recommend this hotel.

Nice, comfortable hotel. Reasonable breakfast. Comfortable bed, sofa bed mattress was quite soft and not entirely comfortable Please note that even though the hotel has Wenceslas square in it's name, Wenceslas Square is actually ~3-4 blocks away (5-8 min walk).

Very comfortable and nice. Front desk was ver helpfull. Iwould recommand it.

The hotel provided excellent service, help and had an outstanding breakfast.

very poor sevice, staff very unpleasant. When you check in, you have to PAY DEPOSIT FOR THE MINIBAR IN YOUR ROOM !!! Never take the breakfast in the hotel. I would expect, for the price of the breakfast, they would at least make a decent coffee, but they give you the fake instant coffee instead. I would have gotten a better coffe at McDonalds for 0.5£. And by the way. This hotel is NOT AT THE WENCESLAS SQUARE !!! This is just a name, intended to fool tourists.

Hotel was within walking distance of all the major sites in Prague, even with two small children. The staff was friendly and helpful and the underground gated parking, though at a small fee, was convenent. The rooms were well kept and slept my family of four quite comfortably. Overall impressed with the price and convenience of this hotel.

After having a discount voucher for 25% off the breakfast we decided to make use of the offer. The breakfast was very poor with the only hot items were sausages and hard boiled eggs or runny scrambled eggs and toast. When checking the bill it cost £34 for one of the poorest quality breakfasts ever ! On complaining to the hotel they were not interested about the poor quality or dissatisfaction - Eat out its cheaper and better

Modern, clean hotel, very nice spot within city centre, central for all sights, we walked everywhere. but the street hotel is on is quiet, which was a bonus also. very much enjoyed our 4 night stay. would go back.

Very comfortable, air conditioned rooms and completely quiet. Bathroom was excellent with separate WC. Sky, CNN. BBC news on TV. Key card operated lift was nice security feature. The location, by I.P.Pavolva metro is not perfect for a first time visitor who should really stay in old town.

My husband and I stayed at the Novotel Praha Wenceslas Square for our first anniversary. The Novotel is a good, clean, comfortable hotel with good staff. The location is great just a 2 minute walk to Pavlova station and a 10 minute walk to Wenceslas Square. I would reccommend it to anyone unless they wanted somewhere with some Czech character as this is a standard western hotel that we would come to expect from any hotel in the UK.

Even if it is named as wenceslas Square, it is too far from this square at least 8 blocks and in a hill!

Great hotel in excellent city centre location. The hotel was modern and we loved the facilities on offer, making use of the gym (albeit a bit small), sauna and jacuzzi - which were great to relax in after our long walks in Prague. The hotel is ideally located next to the IP Pavlova metro for getting around Prague, but still within easy walking distance of Wenclesas Square and other attractions. Staff were friendly and helpful and directed us to a great restuarant on our first night in Prague.

The service was very accomodating, though having arrived late in the evening we were surprised to find that the restaurant was nearly closed and the staff was cranky about having to serve us a meal. This made our 12 year old even more surly. And the food was nothing to write home about. Extra charges for wireless made this a more expensive stay than it should have been. There was some "fauna" in the room with us, but otherwise the room was clean. The location, near the southern end of Wenceslaus Namyesti and the national museum, is fine: a bit of a walk to Old Town, but lots of sights on the way (be sure to check out the Jan Palack memorial and David Czerny's sculpture).

Meget flot til prisen, dog var det en anelse for dyrt at købe morgenmad på hotellet , priserne i hotellets bar var også ret dyre. En lille øl kostede3 gange så meget som på en bar blot 5 min derfra

Hotel très bien situé, à 5 mns à pied de la place wenceslas et à 200 m de la station de metro pavlova, confortable, accueil sympathique, wifi gratuit dans les parties communes.

Een verrassend fijn hotel middenin Praag. Veel voorzieningen: ondergrondse parkeergarage, fitness centrum, flink indoor zwembad, sauna, gratis internetgebruik. Ruime kamer, mooie badkamer. Ontbijtbuffet in orde maar weinig verrassend. Vriendelijke staf, spreken goed Engels. Ligging in Praag ideaal, bij metrostation en tramhaltes, en Wenceslasplein is op loopafstand. Kinderen tot 12 jaar (max 2 kids) mogen bij de ouders op de kamer. Wij hebben er met onze kinderen vier nachten geslapen en het beviel goed (kids waren vooral blij met het zwembad!).

Meget rimelig pris, fint værelse. Yderst venlig reception, god service. Morgenmaden i top, stor varieret buffet. Ligger i gåafstand fra de interessante steder, sporvogn direkte til slottet. Dejlig pool og sauna.

Man ved, hvad man får på et Novotel Hotel. Ligger dejligt centralt til at kunne gå rundt i Prag og også hjem til hotellet for en hvilepause, før vi skulle ud og nyde aftenen i Prag. Super for børnene at der var swimmingpool

Vi var overraskede over at det var nødvendigt at betale 18 euro pr. døgn for at parkere

Fint hotel i gå afstand til byen. Morgenmaden virkelig kedelig og meget "industriel". Restauranten på hotellet er ligemeget, spis i byen, der er mange gode restauranter. Lækkert område med swimmingpool, spa, sauna og fitness rum.

Et til prisen fint hotel. God beliggenhed - gåafstand til de fleste serværdigher i centrum. Svarer dog ikke til et i mine øjne normalt 5-stjernet hotel. I så fald mangler der noget service. Dyr men god parkering (ca 18 EUR pr nat).

Rent och frächt. Trevlig personal. Ligger centralt och väldigt lätt att hitta. Nöjd med frukosten, rent och mycket att välja på.

Veldig sentralt i den nye delen av Praha, gikk bare 5 min. nedover så vart vi midt i sentrum. Kjempe fint hotell med behagelig seng. Stor plass, rent bad med egen do. Må innrømme at resepsjonen kunne vært mer service innstillt, men det gikk bra. Prøvde ikke frokosten da vi heller valgte å spise ute.

Det er et super hotel, meget flot, rent og dejlige facilliteter. God beliggenhed og rigtig god service.

Fint hotell, rent, ryddig, morderne, grei restaurant, ok avstand til sentrum, deilig med svømmebasseng og fitness. Servicen var noe treg.

No cleaning of the room. Had to call reception for clean towels and soap. Also should pay twentyfive euro for internet, which is normally for free at cheaper hotels than this.

Hotellet ligger i gåavstand til det meste og litt unna de trafikkerte hovedgatene, så her er godt å sove. Fikk ikke prøvd restaurantens uteområde ( litt for lav temperatur), men der så også veldig bra ut. Kjekt med transportservice på hotellet. Litt unødvendig at man måtte betale ekstra for frokost. Store og gode rom.

Godt gedint hotel - specielt til prisen

Kjempebra hotell,god service bra beliggenhet,stille og rolig,basseng og trimrom allt var helt supert.

Hotellet er fint for en wekend. Savner informasjon og positivitet fra resepsjonistene. Noen takler engelsk språk dårlig, men de som kan dette er meget positive.Tar gjerne turen igjen.

Buon punteggio per le sue caratteristiche, ma il personale è davvero scortese: camerieri che ti fissano per tutto il tempo al ristorante e sbuffano ad ogni richiesta, receptionist maleducata e scontrosa. Un esempio: ci hanno portato via gli asciugamani sporchi e non ce ne hanno messi di nuovi, me ne accorgo alle 23.00 e chiedo di averne altri. Risposta scocciata: cose che capitano, ora non si può fare niente. Per fortuna un ragazzo del bar si è offerto di prenderli lui impiegando 2 minuti di orologio. Altra situazione: la piscina chiude alle 23.00. Alle 23.04 il ragazzo che fa servizio li ci spegne le luci nello spogliatoio e inizia a sbraitare. Quando noi gli diciamo di riaccendere le luci lo fa ma poi se ne va via sbattendo la porta e ci lascia li. Quando abbiamo finito di vestirci erano le 23.08... non poteva aspettare? Comunque l'hotel è accogliente come struttura: la piscina è bella, al ristorante si mangia abbastanza bene, nelle camere c'è il bollitore per il te con tutto il necessario, gratis e la camera è spaziosa. Riguardo la pulizia, la camera è ok. In bagno invece ti cambiano solo gli asciugamani, ma non puliscono il resto. Comunque è sempre un hotel a 4 stelle e il personale non te lo porti a casa. Quindi se è scortese sono fatti suoi. Forse è un po' distante dal centro storico (2.5 km da Ponte Carlo) ma bastano 2 fermate di metro. Comunque io ho preferito avere la piscina ed essere un po' più distante. Non mi sono pentita. Insomma "pregi e difetti".

LA CAMERA E' VERAMENTE CONFORTEVOLE OTTIMA LA COLAZIONE

Gute Anbindung mit U-Bahn und Straßenbahn (sehr preiswert und häufig), zu Fuß zur Karlsbrücke 10 - 15 Minuten, gute Parkmöglichkeit in kostenpflichtiger nicht überteuerter Tiefgarage (auch für Vans geeignet - Sharan etc). Hotel etwas schwer bei erster Anfahrt zu finden. Ordentliches Frühstücksbüffet. Angegebene Preise wurden ohne nachträgliche Zuschläge eingehalten. (eher selten für Prag) Zimmer sauber und ruhig, Reinigung manchmal erst nach 15.00 Uhr.
