Three pools lie within the hotel's grounds, all approximately 40 by 20 feet and all lying on the perimeter of a promontory jutting into Bell Channel Bay, which is a narrow waterway. One pool features an infinity edge. Another is paired with an eight-person spa. Flagstone sundecks furnished with cushioned lounge chairs surround the pools.
A complimentary shuttle boat transports guests to a companion-property marina with pool and poolside restaurant, located 5 minutes away. The pool is a two-level affair, measuring 120 by 25 feet on the lower level and 40 by 22 feet on the upper level. The pool includes exercise lanes and a children's section.
Approximately 300 yards from the resort is a half-mile Atlantic Ocean beach where a water-sports center rents snorkeling gear, windsurfers, kayaks, Hobie Cat sailboats, and personal watercraft. The center also offers parasailing, water skiing, kneeboarding, wake boarding, and banana boating as well as snorkeling and boating excursions. A 25-foot trampoline (surcharge) is anchored off the beach.
Two golf courses are within 0.5 miles of the resort. The Lucayan Course features elevated tees, winding fairways, and numerous bunkers. The Reef Course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and site of an annual PGA Champions Tour event, features links play. Also available on Grand Bahama Island is the Jim McClean School of Golf, with indoor and outdoor training facilities, computerized swing-analysis video equipment, and classes. A tennis center across the street offers four lighted courts of different surfaces (natural grass, artificial grass, hardcourt, and rubber).
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or near the Pelican Bay Resort at Lucaya; fees may apply.
