When arriving to the hotel we were told there were no rooms available even though we had a confirmation# and booked it a month prior to our stay. The manager was very rude and not helpful. "Excellent Management"
We had a problem initially with our room and the management was incredibly helpful and handled it professionally and was able to accommodate us despite the fact that it was a busy weekend. I was not very impressed with the fact that the price you pay for a room and then charged an outrageous price for a cup of coffee,we did not even want to make the coffee in the room for not knowing if we were going to be charged for that as well. My only criticism would be the restaurant - my party (of three) sat at a table for 20 minutes without being acknowledged so we left. It appeared to severely understaffed on a football weekend. Otherwise, excellent hotel.Дійсний відгук від користувача Hotels.com

"Monthly Business Trip"
I visit Austin at least once a month and have yet to find that one place that brings me back time and time again. I have stayed with Marriott Austin South one other time and had an "OK" experience. With my visit this last time, it was about the same with one experience that truely impressed me. With room service one evening, my dinner was not right […] in many ways. Not only did they make it right, send me complementary desert, they comped the entire meal. I have stayed at MANY hotels and this is definitly the right way to handle the situation. "Good hotel, great staff, "meh" location."
The hotel staff was great! The room lacks the amenities that other, lower priced rooms, by Marriott, include: namely, a kitchenette. The bathroom was on the smaller side, but not small. Easy check-in and out process. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. We ordered room service two nights in a row and the food was in our room within 15 minutes. The food was delicious, by the way! "Upscale and great location"
Room comfort, staff, and location are great. Was woken up at 3:30 a.m. with a fire alarm. Whole hotel was in a holding pattern for about 15-20 minutes then we were told it was a false alarm. Didn't sleep after that! I asked several employees what happened and one finally let out the truth: They have a new fire sensor system that is very sensitive and […] can be set off by debris in the ventilation system. "Great experience"
Overall, it was a fantastic experience; the hotel was as advertised, very clean, nice rooms, great service. Nothing to complain about. My own personal issue was I had a little difficulty locating the Marriott sign amongst all the other additional signs and through the trees at night when we arrived. "Wouldn't stay here again"
I had booked a room with a king bed. On arrival, they said they didn't have any more of those rooms and the one they had was with two double beds. Its not a big deal, but I hate it when you reserve something and its confirmed and when you show up they just change it to whatever they want. "Hard to get to location"
The location so near the I35/290 exchange meant much going around and around but was O.K. once learned to stay on the feeder roads at all times. My family was in Austin for the graduation of my granddaughter. I arrived first and and requested that we be close on the same floor. We are located in a cluster of Marriott hotels right off the feeder of IH-35 and are working hard to try to make ourselves more visible. "Great hotel - if only its other guests were"
Hotel itself is quite nice for the price, comfortable room, cool a/c, very clean. Staff from front desk to housekeeping exceptionally polite and accommodating. No a/c in halls and elevators, but their parking garage helps shield your car from Austin's blazing sun. Since I-35 has been re-built in front of the hotel, it's a bit tricky getting to the property, […] but that's not Marriott's fault. Also not Marriott's fault was the mother who was screaming at her kids at 1:30am Saturday morning, but I called down to the desk after the mom ignored my pleas for quiet, and a clerk came up and handled the situation. "a vary enclose room, no view on our side."
my stay was ok, in the bethroom we experience some kind of sewer smell every time we flash the toilet or wash our hand. some kind of toxic smell start invading the bathroom. that need to be check out. with my reservation I did reserve to rooms, one queen and a double bed, and becouse my reservation was made through your company they did not garantee […] a double bed so we end up with a roll over bed an a single. not fun. thank you . "50 - 50 Nice Place But Loud as An Airport"
Place is very nice but there are issues. Parking is poor; as is the access in and out. Once you are on the road, Austin is easy to navigate. Biggest complaint - road noise. My room faced I35 and it may as well have been track side at Daytona. If you stay there, demand a room away from the road. My recommendation to a friend is with the caveat above […] . "Hot place!"
Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Very clean hotel. Restaurant's food was good. The only complaint is that the room's air conditioning did not keep the room cool. They have a chilled-water system, which just doesn't work as well as the "freon" type systems. I requested a fan, and it was brought right up. I'd also asked for a maintenance […] staff to check on the AC, and he's the one who explained that it was as good as it gets. Normally, for the average person, I'm sure the temperature in the room would be fine. I just have a sensitivity to heat, and can't sleep in a warm room. It has to be around 68. The overall stag was satisfactory. However there were couple of things that were not up to par: the water pressure in the sink was extremely low and the bathroom door barely clears the toilet in entering or exiting.
