Country Inn & Suites By Carlson Charleston-South - Чарлзтон

This is a good, well maintained budget hotel. My daughter loved the pool, which is heated. The room was comfortable, and the location good. It is about 15 minutes away from any downtown location and close to groceries and several restaurants.

The hotel was average but seemed way over price for the room. Thought they had an airport shuttle since it was 4miles away, instead paid for a pricey taxi ride to airport. Will look elsewhere next time. Not what I expected for a Country Inn and Suites

No complaints, nice to be next door to family members in a suite with sofa bed.

We used hotel as a stop over only on route to our vacation. We chose it because we were traveling with our adult sons and our daughter who had a friend with her and with the sofa bed suite option we were able to get by with two rooms rather than 3. Only downside was that my husband had to walk thru the sitting area with the sofa bed to get to the bathroom […] and we had to constantly make sure everyone was decent. I have been in some hotels where the bathroom was in between the two sleeping areas which is more convenient. Place seemed clean, we only peeked in the pool area but it was so humid we decided to hang out in our rooms instead. High hot humidity does not work for folks who have asthma. hotel was decent enough to checkin on a night travel.No complaints. Just stayed overnight. It has a indoor pool if u have time to stay late in the morning.

HOTEL STAFF WAS SO HELPFUL. WE HAD A WONDERFUL STAY AND WOULD RETURN AGAIN. THANK YOU TERRY FOR ALWAYS HAVING FRESH COFFEE AND A FRIENDLY SMILE !

Convenient location for the price!

I want to say thank you to the sweet staff and ESP the morning staff there.

The name of the Hotel is miss leading. I thought is was in South Charleston. But it was 20miles away from where I wanted to be. The internet service was bad. I complaited about it everyday. I even checked out one day early.

Everything about our experience was wonderful, including spending time at the indoor pool. Very clean location and employees were very friendly, including the lady who took care of the breakfast area....it was crazy in there! Everything was stocked and kept clean.

This was the half-way point on our way to Virginia. Comfortable and just a little interstate noise. We walked to Bob Evans because the breakfast room was busy which was no big deal-my husband likes to go out for his breakfast. The pool/hot tub were perfect for a quick swim.

No working hair dryer because outlet not functioning. Yes, I hit the reset buttons on the dryer and the outlet. Staff seemed unconcerned with this inconvenience. Breakfast was below Country Inns standards. Waffle batter was very watery. Oatmeal was unmixed. Will have to look elsewhere for stays near Charleston.

Very clean - very nice staff - great breakfast - clean pool and jacuzzi - clean room - very child friendly and quiet - would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I saw two bugs while lying in bed, one of which was crawling on the ceiling. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were HORRIBLE. If you do stay here, bring your own pillow! The floors were filthy as well. My daughter had on white socks walking around that ended up with the bottoms turning black.

Lamps did not work in room carpet dirty room smelled of cigarettes employees at desk very unfriendly breakfast very good--cook very sweet

The hotel was very clean, well maintained, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast left something to be desired.

Very comfortable room. Well-situated--several restaurants within walking distance. We loved the homemade cookies at check-in. Smooth in and out. The only negative is that the shower water pressure was weak and it took a long time for the water to heat up to standard temp for bathing. The County Inn and Suites in Charleston is a great place to stay for business or vacation purposes. The rooms are comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the amenities including a pool, an exercise room, and a hot breakfast are all very nice. The only complaints I have are first and foremost that some parts of the hotel do smell of smoke; however, […] starting in less than a month, the entire hotel will be smoke-free, so that should change shortly. Additionally, the walls are rather thin, and on the first night, I could hear the conversations of those in the next room, which was definitely not conducive to a great night's sleep. However, this only lasted for part of the first night, so overall, I was very satisfied with my stay, and I plan to use this hotel again next year when I make my annual trip to Charleston. A great pet friendly option that was clean and odor free considering there were at least 5 dogs there that night. The floor in the breakfast area needed vacuumed but otherwise, all was a good experience. We would definitely stay again.
