The hotel was very clean and quiet even though it was right next to the freeway--super easy access. The only issue we encountered was the toilet--it was not bolted securely to the floor, so it wobbled. The front desk agent (Lauren) was probably the nicest person I have ever experienced for a hotel check-in. She was accommodative to every request with a smile and an enthusiastic personality. "Hotel with great location"
The common areas of the hotel were very warm and stagnant (I believe another guest opened a window in the breakfast room in order to get some air moving in there). "Not quit up to expected Marriott standards"
The room had a terrible smell (fecal smell). The room did not feel real clean. The hotel is sandwiched between a truck stop and the highway, so I did not expect it to be too quite, but on the truck stop side, it was not too bad. The desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The Fairfield was a very nice hotel close to the airport. Staff was very friendly, and the room was small but very clean with a good size bathroom. All was very well until about 5:30 AM, then the doors began to slam shut and reverberate. I enjoyed my stay here and it was a refreshing rest from road travel. Everything was exceptionally clean and everything worked! The breakfast offered was fabulous and there was fresh coffee (and tea) around the clock. After I was checked in and in my room the front desk called and wanted to know if my room was to my likeing I have to say I've stayed all over the United States in upscale hotels and this is the first time the front desk has ever called to see if I was happy with my room. "Fairview in Medford, OR -very convenient"
This hotel is right off the freeway. I was a little concerned about that when we arrived as I was expecting road noise and activity due to the proximity to fast food, etc. It turned out to be a fantastic hotel for the price. The room was large and comfortable, had a great, firm king sized bed and a large, clean bathroom. We were actually heading to […] Ashland but all the hotels were more expensive there. It's only a 10-15 minute drive down there so don't let that deter you if you are planning to be in the Ashland area.
