We had 4 people with 2 double rooms. One room is very small but the boss(I guess) promised us that he will adjust another bigger room for us because we will stay for 6 nights. Luckily we got it in the next day when we back to hotel. Everything in hotel seems not too far as we expected. Of course you can't treat it as a modern hotel but it's enough for […] us for what you paid in London. The location is great. It takes around 10 mins slow walk to Paddington train station/underground. Convenience is better than anything. The breakfast is also not bad but I strongly suggest don't order continental breakfast. English breakfast is good and the quantity is enough for us. Even though we asked more toast sometimes, they were willing to offer. Orchard hotel gave us 6 good sleeping nights during our stay in London. We are willing to recommend it to others if you have budget control. Читати далі

This hotel was spotless. The reveiws some people left were complete an utter lies. The staff were helpful and friendly and cleanliness was first class. No problems at all and a nice quiet area at night with nearby shops etc. This hotel was faultless and I am a very houseproud woman...so thank you to the orchard hotel.

I don't know where to begin: no working elevator, hotel smells like smoke, tiny room smells like mold, they don't change the sheets & towels everyday or replace soap (had to ask after 3 nights). Breakfast was cheesy .... dry white bread with 2 pieces butter & one jam, hard boiled eggs they ran out of, cheese, mystery ham, watered down orange/yellow […] drink being passed off as juice, 1 1/4 hours to get to this meager breakfast -- 7:30 - 8:45, no chest for storage so suitcases had to be scattered around room, so many other better hotels are available for less money ....... This hotel had the most unfriendly staff ever and the room was not cleaned throughout our stay. Even when we first entered the room the linens had hair all over and the bathroom as well. The location is very good. Plenty of good restaurants around. There was construction going on in the hotel. So our bathroom was newly done. Very good value hotel in handy location for West End.

Value for money, good beds, small but fresh bathroom with tiles and shower. Breakfast did not taste anything,same with the coffee. Traffic from the street can be disturbing if you are not used to traffic. Nice staff in the reception.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Room was small for US standards but clean and relatively comfortable. Attached bath was tiny, like the ones on cruise ships. Breakfast was good and the staff were courteous. However the woman at the front desk, who supposedly was the Manager was very rude and obnoxious. Cheap room, fantastic location, absolute bargain. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, shower was great. cons were breakfast, (which sucked) and the towels seem to be changed every two days rather than every day. great hotel for a cheap, short stay in london.

hotel was accomodating as we had just got off a 24hr flight and arrived at the hotel at 9am and check in was not until 2pm, we were given a room albeit on the 4th floor with no lift and limited room to get luggage up the stairs, it meant we could shower and change and begin our holiday.... breakfast was ok but basic, just a proper cup of coffee would […] have made up for it...... I was just needing a place to stay for a couple of nights to explore the city. The hotel was clean, just a little old and worn. I would not want to spend considerable awake time in the room but to sleep shower and go out to London on adventures this fit the bill. The staff was very nice, helpful and friendly. Close to the Paddington station, it had easy access to the Heathrow Express and the London Underground. As such, it was convenient to Hyde Park, as well as to London's major attractions, either by walking or taking the underground. The Orchard Hotel in Bayswater is conveniently located, particularly for tourists planning to travel to centres such as Bath or to use the express train to Heathrow Airport. Paddington station is only a five minute walk. However, I would be reluctant to recommend it to other travellers. The staff were totally disengaged and our room was not cleaned […] properly. It was clear the carpet had not been vacuumed, as there were long black hairs covering the floor (and they weren't ours!). For anyone who wants to be near Paddington Station, this is a great spot. The 24-hour front desk is extremely handy when checking out at all hours of the morning. Very safe-feeling neighborhood and being only 1 block from the main street, it was rather quiet.

This hotel was just what it advertised. It is no frills and in a GREAT location. I took the Heathrow Connect to Paddington Station and was 2 blocks from the hotel. Paddington is also a tube station so you are in a great location to get all around Greater London. If all you are only looking for is a place to sleep and leave your stuff, this is the hotel […] for you. The room was of adequate size, but had nothing more than a bed, a bathroom, and a small 12 inch TV with 4 channels. I arrived in London, walked to the hotel, dropped my things on the bed, and headed out for the day. I did not return until I was tired and ready to sleep. If you are coming to London to spend time in the streets and venues and all you want is a safe bed in a great location, this is the place. Bring your own washcloths and shampoo. It does now have internet (for a fee), but don’t count on it to work well. I ended up going on another site and paying for each day of internet. It kept me caught up on work at night before sleeping so I could concentrate on enjoying London during the day and evening. If you’re like me and you plan to sight see, see shows on the West End, eat out, and only use the hotel for sleeping when you are worn out for the day this is your hotel. I like the hotel and the location. The unfortuante part is that they dont provide wireless internet which they should. It is basically a toursit hotel surrounded by another 15-20 such hotels, so I would imagine competition will be good therefore the price. Staff was nice and cordial at the front desk. Overall good value for money, but rooms are small but still okay, basically a tourist hotel not much in there for business or professionals like me. The staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is in good condition and the rooms well maintained. However, the breakfast is the worst I have ever experienced and there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room, which one would expect.

Wow is all I can say. I have stayed at very many low budget hotel but this a should not even be considered a hotel. The minute i walked into the room I was ready to walk out. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else. Why this place is in business is beyond me and in London of all places. Room was smelly very Smelly. I went to five diff cities on this trip […] and this hotel is one i would like to forget. The bed was made but my T shirt was still under the sheets. If you are going to stay here bring your own sheets and flip flops for when you shower. Better yet just dont go. There were some bad reviews when i was booking but from all my travels i know sometimes people are just high maintenance. Def not the case. This is one of many hotels based in Sussex Gardens. A couple of 4 storey Edwardian terraced houses converted into a hotel. Facilities are basic, but what do you expect for the price. They do have wireless internet with an associated charge. Room we stayed in was very good. We had the largest Quad room so there was plenty of space for my wife, two kids […] and loads of baggage!!!! Only issue with the room is lack of cooling, so if it's warm, which it can occasionally be in London, be prepared to have an uncomfortable nights sleep. You could leave the window open, but this is London and it never sleeps, so lots of ambient noise. Location is great, close to Edgeware Road and Piccadilly Tube Stations, so you can get around London easily. Also plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area. On our last full day in London, I lingered over my coffee after eating breakfast (in the plain, basement, breakfast room) while my husband went upstairs to roust our teenage son. Shortly thereafter, the only male breakfast staff member announced loudly to me, "Madam, I cannot have this, you lingering here so long, with your husband already gone," or […] words to that effect. He forced me to leave the room, embarrassed me in front of the other guests, soured my last day in London, and spoiled our review of this otherwise adequate hotel. Room was larger than we expected, so we had plenty of space. Bath was small, but clean. Breakfast was good. Location was close to the sights, the tube, and the parks. Staff was helpful and courteous. We enjoyed our stay, and for the price we paid, we were satisfied.

My family and I had a really bad experience in this hotel: no internet access, no shampoo provided, broken electric supplies, big noise all the nights, etc.

Good Hotel near Paddington and Marble Arch. very basic, but a solid performer. Similar in class to the hotels in the area.

This location of this hotel is superb. We had a short stay in London (4 nights), and the hotel is two blocks from Paddington station. Took the Heathrow Express to Paddington (15 minutes), and then a three minute walk to the hotel. The hotel is basic, no frills, but the room was adequate and the staff was friendly. We expected a small room, which is […] what we got, but the twin (two beds) was quite comfortable. Don't expect a luxury experience, becasue overall you get what you pay for, but if you want a budget hotel with convenient access to a major train station, the Orchard Hotel is a good choice. We (2 adults, 4 kids) stayed for 3 nights at Orchard hotel. Overall it was OK with good location and neighbourhood. There are some very nice pubs and Indian restaurants only 1 block away and a 5 minute walk away there are plenty of excellent Lebanese restaurants. Hyde park is also only 5 minutes away. Paddington station is close and there are severel […] bus stops within a 3 block radius. Hotel is plain with small but decent rooms. Bathrooms are newly renovated and in mint condition. The breakfast which was included was so-so with a very grumpy staff. We wanted to move one table a meter to be able to seat all of us together and they went ballistic. The front desk staff went to same school... they hardly look at you when you talk to them or ask for things. Walls are thin but it didn't bother us much as there were no party parties staying there at the same time. All in all we got what we payed for but with a friendlier staff I'd give them better rating. The hotel is located in a very good neighborhood, the room was comfortable and the bathroom recently renovated. The breakfast was too short and too early. I recommend the hotel!!

This hotel is OK for the price but don't have high expectations. The street is a series of hotels of different names all in the row houses of the area. BASIC, is the best description. Didn't see anything scary but at the same time it lacked any frill or memorable characteristic. Unless the four flight climb, tiny room with one bed, one pillow, one bath […] and one hand towel is memorable. This being a converted row house expect to hear adjoining room and hallway noise. I didn't try breakfast, the room itself was spartan enough to allow me agree with the accuracy of other reviewers. Convenient to Paddington Station and several restaurants around Paddington. For London the price was pretty good and it was only one night; longer than that I wouldn't recommend. Our room was recently remodeled and was perfect.- new floors, walls, bathrooms. Rooms are small, but very convenient and comfortable. Great location, good neighborhood, close to Paddington Station, easy walk to Oxford Street shopping and Hyde Park. Best price around and still very nice. Highly recommended.

We were given the dirtiest room, and it was in the Basement, It was like a DHSS bedsit. What a waste of our money

An easy walk from Paddington Station. We had booked 1 room for 3 adults (wife, mother in law and myself) for 1 night. First allocation was on the top floor which was difficult for one of my party. Upon quering a change, we were put into a better room at once on the ground floor, no questions asked. Excellent service. No tea making facilities in the […] room. I wish we could have opened the window because it was very warm when we visited London. Also, after using our towels for 2 days, we put them on the floor only to discover that they'd been picked up and re-hung for us to use again. Yuck!

If you are looking for all the modern conveniences than this in NOT the hotel for you. This is an older hotel, with small rooms and no air conditioning or elevator. It was clean and fine for our one night stay, but I would not have wanted to have chosen this hotel if we were spending more time in London. Breakfast was a choice of Corn Flakes or "Full […] English". Full English consists of: one egg (sunny side up), English bacon (which is more like fried ham, very good, but not at all like American bacon,) toast and beans (like Van de Kamp's Baked Beans). Well-located near Paddington and public transit in friendly neighborhood. Very small room, small bath & shower, but perfectly adequate. Newly renovated and very clean. Great value for the budget traveler.

The hotel was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. Room was small, and bathroom was tiny, but clean and bed was comfortable. It was a very short walk to Paddington Station, Hyde Park, and a lot of great restaurants. Also close by was a pub called the Monkey Puzzle that was fun. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was located within a 5 min walk from the tube at Paddington station. Very convenient. We had a double and a twin bed. There was no lift (elevator)so it kinda sucked carrying the bags up three flights of stairs, but breakfast was included and was pretty good with friendly service.

The room was very small, but not atypical for a room in this price range in London. It was very clean and well-maintained. Very conveniently located to restaurants and transportation in Paddinton as well as within walking distance of Hyde Park, and Buckingham Palace.
