Slightly disapointed with the room size, when we booked we were advised that we had a room with 2 Queen beds, however on arrival we had been alocated a double room, Staff were fantastic in sorting us into a twin room and gave us a late checkout on the Sunday to make up for the error. Great hotel, clean, modern and good location. Breakfast was excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Can't fault this hotel at all.

It was really nice although if you want to eat out make sure you book if it's a saturday all the restaurants were booked in the area (there are more than 15) but we then had a bar snack in the hotel & it was lovely. Really nice breakfast. Only thing worth mentioning is no "normal" tea in the room just flavoured stuff which i don't like.

Excellent hotel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Close to many restaurants, the Symphony Hall, ICC, NIA etc. Walking distance of Birmingham shopping centre, the Bullring and New Street Station. Lovely walk down the canalside to The Mailbox shopping centre.

When I checked in , as I am a long term Hilton Honours member, I asked the receptionist if an upgrade was available, to which she replied that all rooms were the same. I was therefore very annoyed to be fobbed off with a disabled room which was very inconvenient especially the bathroom facilities. The hotel itself was very nice and well located.

Good location, about 10 mins taxi ride from the city centre. Staff were mostly pleasant. Room was average for a HIlton. Breakfast was very good.

Functional with pleasant staff. They need to rethink the after hours meal arrangements ( One microwave self service from fridge) and look at the parking costs which are approx 15% of the room costs! Overall a good stay at this hotel, good points and bad points but would stay again. Location - This is the biggest pro point to this hotel, just off the main bar and club strip broad street, the hotel is set back from this road and is very quiet considering. Also great for restaurants in the surrounding area with the canals etc nearby. Staff & Service […] - Upon arriving i was pretty impressed with the receiptionist. We were given details of all you would expect e.g. check out times, breakfast times, location of different rooms so could not fault this. The room - Here we were disapointed, not with the room as such, but the choice of room we were given. Having booked a standard queen room we were given a queen accessible room. Now although this was not a problem as the room was still nice and good quality, it was firstly not what we booked, and secondly abit unusual having emergency buttons and bathroom toggles incase of emergencies. As i say this wasnt a huge problem that we felt the need to complain about but it made us feel like we had to be careful not to touch anything we shouldnt and also maybe the room could of gone to someone who needed it more than we did. The room description on the website could also do with an update. The website describes 2 queen, well 2 queen is more like a standard double. Also a minibar and bathrobes are described but they were nowhere to be seen. The hotel - A very nice hotel all in all, very modern features like the glass exterior and colourful decor but the basics of the hotel could of done with some work. Firstly there are 3 lifts for the 7 floors of this hotel, but only two of the lifts work. In the morning the fire alarm also went off. As we left our room and to the fire exit staircase, we passed maids still cleaning a room. This didnt fill us with the greatest of confidence, either it was a drill to which we were not informed or the maids just ignore the the fire alarm itself. Brilliant hotel, a 3 min walk away from Broad Street. Pleasant staff and modern rooms with iMac computers that access internet and TV. Very clean and the beds were really comfortable! Would definitely recommend!

Hotel is really close to Broad Street and it can get really lively over there. NIA is also really close. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby

We stayed two nights at this newly badged HGI, formerly The Mint Hotel. The phone in our room and the phone in our friend's room never worked while we were there. The hotel staff looked at it but couldn't repair it. The small refrigerator in our room did not work either. I booked this hotel when it was the Mint. Now its changed to the Hilton I feel it has gone down hill with service. I asked for a complimentary newspaper and never received one... No dressing gowns were provided. Also we were told check out was at 12pm on our reservation email. When they told us it was 11am at check in, they said it would be an extra […] £25 if we wanted late checkout at 12pm! I agrued and showed them my booking, so luckily we managed to check out at 12pm. Nice hotel in an area with lots of restaurants,good for business ,would recomend.

Stayed here in 4/2/12. Hotel is in the perfect location for all the sights (and pubs!!!!!) of Birmingham city centre. Unfortunately it was snowing when we stayed, so didn't get any further than Broad Street- but there are so many pubs and clubs in this area, you didn't need to stray far! Facilities, friendly staff and breakfast was nice and met our expectations. The iMac could have been a nice feature but the WiFi is so slow and unstable that is is practically useless. The hotel staff ran a test of the fire alarm system without noticing the guest properly in advance.

Hotellet var rent og pent. Det lå i et pent område med flere restauranter og klubber. Vårt rom var ikke vendt mot noen av disse klubbene, så vi merket ikke noe til noe eventuelt støy. Internettilgang på rommet (wifi og gjennom en mac). God frokost.
