The room design is fashable and clean, the room is big and the toilet is great, however the internet access is too slow that you cannot use.

Bordering San Marco and the Rialto and stretching east to some of Venice’s quietest greenest parts, Castello is the city’s most varied ‘sestiere’. Its most famous aspect is the Riva degli Schiavoni waterfront next to the Bridge of Sighs, with picture-postcard views onto the lagoon. Yet a few yards from the tourist hoards, the backstreets are quiet and typically Venetian. There are many outstanding churches and art collections in this area.

We stayed on the first floor... quiet location, away from the bustle of the busy "tourist" streets full of pedestrians etc. Hotel real close to St Mark's square the most popular area for sightseeing. Also real close to convenient water bus stops from the tronchetto and i presume the train station terminals. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast […] was just OK, nothing exciting, the same as all the other continental breakfasts in Italy! Hotel right on a canal... being on the first floor we didn't get much of a view, but if you stay in a "higher " room you might get a view of a lovely canal. It is on a corner so more of the rooms have windows out to a walkway or canal. Nice rooms, "quaint" and our room had a small sitting area with small couch that was appreciated. Nice bathroom, good air conditioner, small refrig with a few items stocked. Most of staff spoke enough english to understand us. Nice hotel for value i thought, although i have no comparison with other places since this was the only hotel i've stayed in Venice. Читати далі
"Palazzo Schiavoni - quiet location, great staff"
This is a small "boutique" hotel that is typical of Venice. It's a bit off the beaten track (about a kilometer from St. Mark's square) but we enjoyed that because we were a bit further away from all of the tourist traffic. The staff was excellent, and the room was very clean. When we arrived (very late) we were met at the door by a very friendly night […] person who helped us to our room. Since there was a water leak in one of the rooms we had booked, they put us into a suite, which worked out great. Like many buildings in Venice, the hotel is difficult to find, particularly late at night, while schlepping luggage from the water bus stop. Make sure you know where exactly the hotel is beforehand, and don't assume that you'll be able to "just ask around". The easiest way to get there from the airport is to take the water bus, and get off at the Arsenale stop. From there it's a series of small streets (alleys, really) to get to the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel. If (when) we return to Venice, we will be staying there again. Читати далі

Once we found the hotel we were very pleased. Our room on the top floor had amazing views and was very comfortable. The staff was teriffic and the breakfast was a perfect start to our day. We would definitely stay there again.

L'accueil a été remarquable, avant, pendant notre séjour et à notre départ (conseils, gentillesse) L'hôtel est propre, le petit déjeuner très correct, et vraiment bien placé. Seul point négatif: l'insonorisation des chambres au niveau des protes donnant sur le couloir qui n'est pas top, mais le voisinage était très correct donc pas trop de soucis là […] dessus..
