It was just a one night stay but it was good. Was expecting a fresher breakfast though. My daughter loved the waffle making.

The hotel was a great location for what we required. The downside was that the hotel had far too much noise in the wee hours of the night. Not everyone enjoys late night rowdy party animals roaming the halways and slamming against walls trying to wake up everyone on the same floor. There was a couple of matters that I could mention [1] The bathroom fan was very noisey. [2] The coffe pot was left full of old coffee.

Rooms are a little on the small side, beds are very firm but ok, place is clean, parking is tight for larger vehicles. For the price can't complain. If you want big pillow top bed and fancy room you will need to spend more somewhere else.

i've stayed in this hotel more than once and had zero issues so i have to give the benefit of the doubt to what happened this time. i stayed 2 nights last weekend. the first was a saturday and i showered before i drove south from edmonton so i never had any need to use the shower in the hotel until i came back later sunday night around 9:30 pm and decided […] i would like to relax in the tub. i ran the water and got undressed and then after about 5 minutes of trying different methods to coax warm water out of the tap i gave up and tied to call the front desk to see if maybe there was a trick to turning the tap to the warm part. after about 5 minutes of letting the phone ring the front desk i got re-dressed and went downstairs to ask about the water. when the girl at the front dress came to the desk and i told her my problem she told me i wasn't the first to complain that night. to her credit she gave me a key for another room where the water was warm and i had a shower there and went back to my room. as for the cleanliness of the room overall, i had been walking around the room barefoot and stepped in something wet and thought nothing of it until i came home and noticed a big blue inkstain on the bottom of my foot. i will probably stay here again someday as i'm sure this is not something that will happen again. We needed something last minute and close to the airport because of bad weather. Easy to get to and they were very accommodating.

Overall ok hotel for the price. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. Only complaint was that there is no inhouse gym or pool. The complimentary breakfast was sub standard (ex. coffee, toast, cereal)

The only negative I had was the pictures on the Expedia website showed a pool. That picture is for the rec centre across the street, so it's a one time visit and when it's cold which it was for us it takes a while and is a bit inconvient.

The room was very clean and Quite, the staff were attentive - Just a couple complaints 1.missed a full length mirror or mirror outside the washroom and. would have liked a note pad and pen on the desk 2. the shower curtain was worn looking

This facility is fairly new to the area or renovated. It was clean, with all appliances working well. The staff were very efficient and helpful. The breakfast was the usual self-serve waffles, yogurt, fruit and cold boiled eggs. The location is rather quiet and not difficult to find.

I wonder what kind of standards are in place for this hotel to have the "Award for Excellence" displayed on the wall of the lobby. The same plastic wrapper was on the floor and a "caution wet floor" sign in the elevator during the 20 hours I was at this hotel. I would have to take some responsibility for not complaining during my stay but I just wanted […] to get out of there. So what was wrong - fridge made a noise like a wasp nest was inside (had to unplug it), air conditioner did not cool down the room and left a huge wet spot on the carpet. The guts of an old air conditioner was sitting on the ground beside the building outside. And on check out the police where there (3 squad cars) investigating several car break-ins that occurred in the parking lot outside the front of the lobby. We will not be staying there again. I found the hotel to be fairly comfortable and appreciated that they have a free breakfast. I also appreciated the good price I got through Hotel.ca. I was a bit unhappy that there was no pool in the hotel. I had seen a photo of a waterslide on their site so assumed that they had a pool/waterslide and they did not. They did give vouchers for guests […] to use the leisure center pool across the street which helped. Note that there is no pool in the hotel, but you are given passes for the pool at the recreation complex across the street. This gives you access to a wonderful family aquatic centre, which more than makes up for the inconvenience of having to leave the hotel building.

Pros: great location, breakfast, price, parking lot space, fridge, microwave and coffee maker in room. Cons: noise (the air conditioner was jokingly referred to as the 'air craft engine', fan feature on air conditioner was non functioning. Bathroom fan was very loud and rattled, fridge hummed very loudly for a little one, when their conditioner kicked […] off we could hear noise from all over the hotel, yelling children and arguments from the adjoining room next door, people walking heavily above. Check in was easy and staff helpful and professional. The breakfast in the morning was good and staff restocking items as they used. Morning staff very friendly. Overall, the stay was very good to excellent. Would stay there again, no question.

We were very pleased with the staff, the lady on the front counter the first night was absolutely wonderful..She directed us to some good restaurants, and gave us ideas of what we could do in the area. Thank you to the staff for all you do. It was a great experience.

excellent. It's an older building; so obviously you're not getting the Ritz, but staff was great.

Good hotel. Pricey for quality. breakfast good but would like to see some scrambled eggs that I have seen at other Super 8's. Generally, Airdrie has pricey hotel rates at all chains. Someone could build another hotel and make good money!

Could'nt ask for friendlier staff. The room was adequate, just required someone to show them how to vacuum. There was debrie one the floor around the bed which house keeping failed to clean each and every day of our stay. Bathroom was spotless. A very quiet place to stay. Breakfast was a little short on product some mornings. Overall ok

The hotel was clean and okay. The breakfast was awful. I expected a continental breakfast with fruit, muffins etc. No muffins or croissants, only oranges. Waffles were inedible. There was cold cereal and toast. OKAY. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. I stayed three nights and was so sore that I could barely move in mornings. I spoke with other patrons […] who said the same. It would have been more comfortable to sleep on floor. Spend more and get a comfortable bed. A little frustration resulted from a non functioning telephone. Unable to make a local phone call. Reported issue to desk clerk and she failed to leave a message for maintenance people.

We were there for a competition at the Genesis Place. This hotel was convenient; it was a short walk to the competition. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The only improvement I see is that the breakfast area was very small. We had to wait a long time for the waffle machine. Overall the stay was great.

The Super 8 meets my two main criteria for a good hotel - reasonable price yet still clean and comfortable. This Super 8 looked recently renovated as the room was quite nice and the bathroom was very nice and new looking. Very clean which is my biggest deal. Free access to the giant recreation complex across the street (literally a 1 minute walk) which […] has a big pool and hot tub, and a full size gym (completely free with the stay at the Super 8). The breakfast was pretty standard but since I was there for business I had to be gone pretty quickly in the morning anyways - waffle was nice in the mornings. All in all this is a great place to stay for the price and I felt strongly enough that I decided to write this post..so that should tell you something (I like being able to make easy decisions when others have done the same about hotels in areas I'll be travelling so I thought I'd return the favor for someone travelling to this area).
