Baymont Inn & Suites Howell - Говелл

We were looking for an hotel that was a easy drive to The University of Michigan and yet away from the busy-ness of the city. Baymont Inn in Howell was a great choice! We only wish we could have spent more time at the hotel as it was so comfortable, quiet, and had a great looking indoor pool!

Dirty, unproffessional, terrible breakfast.

We have an event to attend every year in Fowlerville and this year we stayed at the Baymont in Howell. It was a perfect stay for us - helpful, attentive and super friendly staff, conveniently located close to our event, and the room was very quiet. We plan on staying here again next year.

This is the first time we stayed at the Baymont Inn but hopefully it won't be the last. The rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly, the price was absolutely right. when booking reservation through Hotels.com I requested adjoining as I had 4 children, when I got there it was not listed to have adjoining room and only because I got there before party that booked adjoining rooms also did I get the 2 rooms together...

We paid very little to stay here, so the soft beds and small room were okay with us for one night. The woman working at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Once complaint: the hallways had a very odd and unpleasant skunky smell, so we were relieved that our rooms smelled normal.

The hotel was cold overall and our room was absolutely freezing.

We arrived 2 hours earlier than check in. We were allowed early check in without any problems which was great because the college football games were on and we did not have wait in a bar for the check in time. Everyone we dealt with was super nice and friendly. We will stay here again.

When we arrived at the Baymont, we were informed there had been a bathtub malfunction which flooded several rooms, 2 of which were reserved for our group, and all other rooms were booked. Prior to our arrival the management had already booked us rooms at the nearby Holiday Inn Express and upgraded us to king suites at their expense. I really appreciate […] that all arrangements were secured prior to our arrival and we were treated very politely and helpfully by the Baymont staff. This type of an incident had occured for me before at another establishment years ago and I did not receive this level of service. My wife and I stayed here 3 nights over the Thanksgiving holiday while visiting relatives. Overall we had a great stay w/ only a couple of problems. 1) The HC parking near the entrance w/ access to the elevator was very limited and typically filled by late evening when we returned from visiting. 2) The room card reader on the door accessing the elevator […] from the other side of the motel did not work. 3) The sauna was down for repairs. 4) The entrance drive to the motel was poorly marked w/ a small ground level unlit sign. I have stayed at this Baymont many time over the last 9 years or so. In the last year i have noticed a definite slide in a couple areas. First my room had a really funky oder to it. And second the quality of the products available at the breakfast have definiatly slid. If you book through hotels.com, just call the actual hotel 2-3 days before your stay because room requests get lost in translation.

Baymont Hotel & Suites was very clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. It was close to the outlet mall. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

The staff seemed very nice. The front desk clerk reccommended a great Mexican restaurant for us for dinner. The pool was great! And we got up early and hit the outlet mall.

This hotel is perfectly adequate for any short stay - there is nothing luzurious about it, but it will fit almost anyone's needs just fine. The surrounding area has plenty of shopping & restaurants, although the Howell area in general is much more expensive than all the rest of SE MI. If you can avoid staying in Livingston County, I would recommend […] it for a significant price savings (more than gas will cost you to drive the difference.) But if you find yourself here (which btw, is lots cheaper than the neighboring Holiday Inn), you will find it to be perfectly sufficient. We had a wonderful stay there even though there were a few mix-up's when we checked in the front desk staff got them all straightened out and went out of her way to make our overnight stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. I throughly love this hotel.

Front desk girl didnt know local establishments for food. Asked about a steak and a beer and she sent me to a western bar that was so loud we couldnt talk and no real food. We recently spent a night at the hotel in Howell, Mi The staff was very friendly and helpful, We cannot complain about anything my kids had a great time at the pool and we would stay again.

The bathrooms were really small and the room as well, we got the suite and in the picture it showed a nice large room with lots of space. We were sadly disappointed when it was small. The hot tub was very large. The lighting could also use some work. Overall it was just alright.

I have stayed here before and had no issues, but this time was different. We had a late check in and actually checked in then went to dinner. We didn't even go to the room. When we got back we went to the room and to our surprise the room was TRASHED. Beer bottles and other stuff everywhere. I understand that they were short staffed because of the weather […] issues but really you would think that they would check the rooms they were giving people. They gave us another room and it was great but was a bit dissappointed at the non caringadditude they seemed to have when we brought it to their attention both the night it happened and when we checked out. Loved this place! Breakfest was great! Pool was nice! There were elevators so no 3 flights of stairs to walk up! Located right next to mall! Very nice place to stay! Definitly wil be going back!

They missed cleaning our room----ants in the bathroom----kids running up and down the hallways.

The hotel was all we needed for a one-night stay. Room was clean and comfortable, although the bathroom is very small. Lots of kids in the breakfast room and pool area, but things were quiet at night. The outlet mall is right there, but the treasure is the antiques mall just down the road. I was really happy when we arrived and the rate was actually cheaper than what we had booked it for originally by almost 25%. I thought it said we were getting a single king bed, and we ended up with a single full size bed (maybe that is why the price was less). The room also did not have a remote, but I am sure the front desk would have provided one […] if we had asked. We stayed on New Year's Eve, so we did not spend a lot of time in the room, but I was very pleasd to have the continental breakfast in the morning. Got more than expected for our money. Yes, the hotel was outdated, and my husband complained, but I was pleased and would stay there again. We had a suite with a huge whirlpool tub, and it was great. The problem I noticed in our room was the heater. Couldn't keep it an even temperature, it was always either too warm or too cold. The comminuty pool/hot […] tub were lacking, hot tob was barely warm, and the air coming out of the jets was cold. Pool was not warm enough to swim in. My door jamed when I went out and I wasn't able to get back into my room until mantance came. The shower didn't drain. The heat kicked on so loudly that it woke me up every time. The walls are paper thin and I could hear every door close in the hall and people talking over the fan I had on.

I suggest that the reservation confirmation include detailed directions on how to find the hotel, including the exit number of the Interstate highway and the lefts and rights it takes to arrive at the hotel. I was trying to locate it late at night and had difficulty finding the proper streets.

We arrived at the hotel at 11:30pm. The night desk person was very short, not friendly in the least the bit, when we were the leaving the housekeepers were gossiping with the morning desk person and was very unprofessional. Besides the staff, the hotel was very clean, room was nice, the location was good. This did have a nice breakfast for you in the […] morning. Good value for the price for the room but not the location. This was a very small town and paying the same price for this room as I pay in Chicago. Thought should be a little more inexpensive. Detail in cleaning makes all the difference. I found a brown circle in the seat of the desk chair and a fleck of excrement on the bedspread. Housekeepers can make or break a hotel.
