The location was convenient at an economic rate. The coniditon of the hotel was adequate for an older motel serving those looking for inexpensive digs. The room stunk of cigarette smoke and walls were stained and needed painting. After an efficient check in I went to my room in a rather, tired, older hotel. There was a sign on the door that read "No Smoking." However, the room reeked of smoke. You can tell that there was an attempt on the part of management to hide the smoke odor since there was a strong presence of a deodorizer in the room. We spent 2 nights at the Knights Inn Laurel and to be honest we didn't know what to expect from a room that is this cheap and after reading mixed reviews,but it was just fine. "HOTEL STAY IN LAUREL MD"
The receptionist was courteous and asked us question if we wanted non-smoking room. Then he chose the room for us even though at the time of booking we had specified non-smoking room. The room was clean but a little stuffy so we allowed outside air to come in then it was ok. The price was attractive but he could not give a receipt because we booked […] online. I wanted to pay cash but he said that it was already charged to my account in the bank. The online booking through Expedia doesn't allow you to pay cash at the time of staying in the lodge. Not a bad place to stay for the night. The front desk older lady had a slight attitude. They had a microwave and mini fridge in our room but no coffee maker, shampoo, conditioner or lotion. It is located right behind a gas station and McDonalds that you can walk to. The room(smoking) was ok but the bed(queen) was very hard and there was only 2 pillows […] on the bed that were flat. Pricing is very good and it has refrigerator, microwave; pillows could be better. And the location is very good you can walk to the Wal-Mart, Target, Sam's Club, Wendys, BK, McDonalds and there is a liquor store and gas station just exiting the hotel. Room was clean and inexpensive. Location was great with 24 hr Walmart next door, lots of other places you may need to go as well. During the day, seemed like a great location. At night, some shady characters were about...but none that seemed scary or threatening...just drunk, dirty and disoriented. This didn't bother ME at all since I travel for business […] on my own dime a lot, and I've stayed in some doozies...overall this one was really fine. I would recommend it. This was overall a good experience for the price. Rooms were very clean and staff were very considirate and attentative to our needs. "plain, simple, cheap, just what paid for"
the hotel is really what the subject is. stayed two nights. the bathroom was renovated and was the best (4/5) of the whole room - that is why i put condition of hotel =3, otherwise it would've been 2. the bed was very stiff and "very used" if i can say so, but i did not care. the tv is 15 y/old tube, the remote for tv barely worked. the room was not […] preheated, the a/c was off so when i came in the room was freaking cold (0 C outside) and it took 4 hours to heat it up to something livable. overall it was quite clean but the carpet was a little dirty near the entrance and one can see the walked path crossing the room. I would recommend this hotel if the duration of stay is not longer than 2-3 nights at most, otherwise look for something else. overall ok quality for the price paid.
