IT was close to Dennys and close to Downtown it right off the interstate

3 of us stayed in a Double Deluxe room. I am used to staying at hotels that have 2 Queen beds in the room, but this had 2 Double beds. Needless to say, sharing a double bed with another person is a very tight squeeze! And there was not much room to move around in the room itself. They have pillowtop mattresses on the and I had no problems with it and […] thought it was nice, but the 2 others in my group have back issues and they thought the beds were horrible and didn't sleep well. The bathroom is also very tiny and the sink area was ok but they seem older and there is no vent in the bathroom. The decor in the room was pleasant. We had a very nice experience with the front desk as they were always friendly and very helpful. Especially Derrick, who helped me work with Hotels.com to cancel a night's reservation due to a change in plans. Читати далі

Will stay here again next time I am in the area. Room very clean and a good size. Girl at the front desk was very sweet and helpful.

Like the title says. Even though it was the standard king, the room was much larger and nicer than expected for the price. PLUS, the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Very nice room for the price.

I have never been in such a comfortable room. It was the perfect environment for our night and we enjoyed our stay very much. I will definitely spend more nights here. And the price is great!

We planned to see the Wabasha Caves that weekend and just spend some time with each other. You know just some time to our selves. No dishes, no cleaning or cooking, just we time. The Caves were great and the location of the hotel was perfect, close to the stores but not alot of traffic noise. Negatives to my stay - No coffee maker in each room - No ice machine on each floor. I believe each of these items are important features to any hotel stay for the aging public. Thank you!!

All the non-smoking rooms have new mattresses, with the smoking rooms getting replacements soon, they said. The mattress was huge and super comfy. This room had to have been the best deal in town.

This is definitely NOT worth the money, regardless of how inexpensive it is. The newly refurbished room we were in had no safety in a slippery bathtub, no handle or anti-slip devices. There was no iron and ironing board in the room as offered, nor wi-fi available as stated. I asked and was tod it wasn't available. While there was a refrigerator it froze […] everything regardless of the setting. Ironically it did NOT keep the ice cream solid. There was no coffee maker in the room either, The staff was both pleasant and rude depending upon who you were talking to. The hotel also appears to be partially either a half-way house or re-entry residence, so there appears to be a mixture of clients coming and going at different times. The smell of smoke at times permeated the room, even when in the non-smoking room, and the fire alarm went off at least three times during the stay (what turned out to be false alarms). I'd rather pay a few dollars more and get some of what is promised and what feels safer. Читати далі

This hotel appears to possibly be a transitional placement as well as a guest hotel. There were obvious negative activity on the premises, on one occasion there was a man laying at the front door obviously either drunk or high, actively throwing up, Some of the hotel personnel were polite even friendly, others were apparently used to dealing wih some […] rough residents and acted rude and had unnecessarily negative attitudes. They did not have the iron in the room as promised, there was no wi-fi and while there was a refrigerator, it froze everything but the ice-cream. While the price is low, it is not worh the trade off. We paid a little extra for this hotel because we thought that it might be worth it and we were wrong. I can honestly say that it is the first time in YEARS that I have stayed in a hotel where they did not have coffee makers in the room - and if we wanted coffee in the morning we had to go down to the lobby and pay for it? The hotel did not have a VCR/DVD […] player in the room (and could not rent one from the front desk), and didn't offer premium movie channels either. And to top it off, the door was so thin that when a group of teenagers decided to play in the hall late in the evening - and again early in the morning, it sounded as if our door was wide open and they were standing right outside our door. Check in was so complicated and so long. I booked 3 double bed suites but only got 1 room. I was told that the rest had to be roll away. I was not too happy. And when I got my keys to the room, a set of them didn't even work so I had to go get that problem fix. The room is what you paid for. Staff very unfriendly. Not much to the hotel. We stayed here for "Back To The Fifties" weekend and were well received and cared for. Everyone, inside and out, were courteous to all of us. The building is an older hotel but well cared for by it looks. The hotel has easy access to I-90. Several different eating places are close by. I will stay here again.

Okay place to stay if looking for sleep & shower which is all we needed. little noisy neighbors but everyone was nice, would stay again

although not luxuious in any sense, this hotel was clean and comfortable and very reasonably priced.

The hotel room was clean and the personnel at the front desk very helpful. Overall it was a good experience and I would recommend it. The only slightly negative thing was that many of the hotel customers looked a little like gangsters, which can be a little creepy if you get there at night and from a smaller city.

The hotel has larger than normal rooms, with a great size desk and fast internet. This was so important to me. Furthermore, the front desk girls, Kelsey and Malissa were both so friendly. There is a Denny's right next door which offers a discount if you go to this hotel. This is a nice nice bonus because the price of the hotel is already very reasonable. This hotel isn't particularly close to anything but it isn't far either. Oh, go the opposite (left or right) from what your GPS tells you. For some reason the GPS is wrong and you end up on the wrong side of the freeway. If you see car dealerships turn around and go under the bridge and look for the Denny's. You get what you pay for at the LivINN. The price was very attractive. My girlfriend and I stayed there for two nights over the weekend. We had a decent-sized room with a king-size bed. There were a few things in a little bit of disrepair (lamps crooked, a little bit of peeling paint in the bathroom corner), but the room was clean. The front desk staff […] mistakenly told my girlfriend they could rustle up a hair dryer for her. However, when the time came, they couldn't, and it was too late to run out and buy one (we were on our way to a wedding). Just a small thing, I guess. Other than that, we had no complaints about the staff - they were very nice. One other thing to note that affected our stay is that the walls (or perhaps the doors between rooms) are very thin. We could hear the people in the next room both nights that we stayed there. They didn't sound like they were yelling - they appeared to be talking in normal tones and have their TV on a normal volume, but we could hear almost everything they were saying. It was particularly bothersome late at night when we were trying to sleep. The hotel is located next to 3M in an industrial part of town. It's not a particularly pretty area (although there is a lake), but it's not a ghetto. It's close to the Sun Ray shopping center, which was useful for getting breakfast and running to the grocery store. In conclusion, you get what you pay for. If you want a very reasonable rate, I would recommend the LivINN. You won't mistake it for a 5-star hotel, but it will get you by. If you like the frills of a classy (or medium-classy) hotel, don't stay there. We may stay there again, we may not. Читати далі

Bed and room comfortable, but STRONG cigarette smoke smell coming through the vent in bathroom, all night. Kept bathroom door closed to survive it.

Clean hotel that is very accessible via i-94 in St. Paul, Minnesota. Well worth the money I spent. I was even upgraded to a lake view room for free! Certainly not what I expected from a 2-star rated hotel. If you are budget traveler like me, it's well worth a stay.

My room was very pleasant, temperature easy to control. Unfortunately was near elevator, the noises of which made sleeping difficult, as did other guests who used the elevator in the wee hours of the morning. One addition to the room that would be useful would be a small coffee maker/coffee. Machine downstairs did not work well. Plus was restaurant […] across the parking lot, but one had to wait for that first cup of coffee! Overall a pretty bad experience. We had to wait several minutes to be buzzed into the lobby area, granted it was near midnight, and then waited again while the clerk checked to see if the room actually was clean. The room, although clean, had that pleasantly musty smell of once being a smoking room, and now is an air-freshener room. The bed was uncomfortable, […] the bathroom was dingy and un-modern. Very long time to check in at the desk. It took almost 45min! ,there were two clerks on duty and a line of people waiting to be checked in. They had no idea how to run things, and almost double charged me even though I had prepaid online. and had forgotten to return my card back me, once I was finally checked in. The only things we didnt like was one night our neighbors where loud and they have thin walls. Also the shower temp control was screwey.

Right on a nice little lake, this hotel is a very nice place for the price. We stayed in the jacuzzi suite, and it was more fun than I thought it would be, although the bathroom could use a little paint (the jacuzzi is outside the bathroom).

For the price I wasn't expecting much but the room was excellent. Big beds, microwave and fridge, and plenty of space.

You could tell it was an older hotel. such as the paint looked very old and was chipping in some spots. But the beds were very comfortable and the room smelled clean and looked very clean and was an overall very welcoming atmosphere. LOVED it for the price!!

We had a difficult time finding the hotel in the dark due to no street lights in the area. Upon arrival, we immediately noted how old the hotel appeared. Hotel staff could use some training in customer relations but were not rude. The room was small and the beds obviously well used, but we slept through the night quite comfortably. The hotel is old. Needs some major updating. We were sitting on our bed and the head board fell off the wall! Luckily not hitting either one of us. We were very satisfied with our room, the servies and the location. I would recommend this hotel if you need a night's sleep without all the ammenities of a pool, etc.
