Hilton Chicago/Oak Lawn - Оук-Лон

Pretty good. The only thing was that the room did not have blinds to make the room dark... Everything else was great. Ordered breakfast one morning and it was better than expected. Location is close to the airport and not too far from the city center. A overall grade!

Resturant was wonderful, food was very good. Bar was viewable from the resturant, looked fun with live and. The floor, before entering the room smelled like smoking. The room did not snell of smoke, it was fine. Room was clean and well furnished, Bathroom was clean and adequately supplied. Overall experience was good. Worst hotel...You can hear next door talking while sleeping. Have roaches and flies in the room. Worst hospitality and staff not at all helpful.

We were given a rm with two double beds despite our reservation for a king bed. It necessitated a return trip to the front desk. We were given a rm on the first floor surely because our reservation was made through Hotels.com. The room smelled. Thank goodness we had our own air freshener. It was very clean and nice and I will stay there again!

When I arrived I found that I was not in the smoking room I requested and was told they did not have a smoking room. When I then let them know I would not be staying they conveniently found a smoking room for me. I was dissapointed with it as well because for the price I felt there should have been microwave and refrigerator in my room. Cheaper hotels […] have these. I regret to say I hardly got any sleep because of my room being one of those adjoining rooms where the people in the other room seemed to have a long night of partying going on.i was also quoted a double queen room and instead was placed in a double full bed room. I was left on hold and transferred back and forward form the front desk to reservation for over and hour just to request an early check. Then was rudely told by a manger that it was not a garantee that I would get early check in. Which could have been told to me before the first call transfer and the hour wait. Rude front desk and manager.

Better than expected. Large, comfortable rooms, quiet; perfect location.

Always a great value with clean, big, comfortable rooms, and a great staff.

I made a mistake when booking the room. I mistakingly put the room in my name and should have been in my Moms. My Mom and sister had to wait in Lobby for 45 mins while I tried to simply change the room into her name. The room was booked, paid in full and the time it took to change was simply ridiculous to say the least. To be honest the overall experience […] for the two nights they stayed the first night was supposed to be a non-smoking room the second night was a loud group of kids staying next to their adjoining room. The "non-smoking" room smelled like an ash tray so they had to change rooms and the second night I had booked a non-smoking room and they wer all sold out. Back to the change in name issue The front desk person was completly unhelpful it seemed as if this was not her issue at all and we got the feeling we were making her work. The Hotel Manager had to be paged for me to speak to her and when she finally called me back her attitude (similiar to the front desk) appeared as if I was bothering her (I guess they paged her out of Church), I apologized to her for inconviniencing her she continued to have an attitude. All and all we did not have a positive experience on either night. We were just looking for a place to sleep peacefully because my father just had triple bypass surgery and this hotel was close by. For the price they charge and being rated as a 3 1/2 star I had much higher expectations and would not reccommend anyone from my family or friends to stay there. Читати далі

This hotel may be adequate for travelling businessmen. The weekend buffet was pretty good, and there is a nice lounge with several computer stations on the top floor for the executive level rooms. Plenty of free parking outside.

Oaklawn Hilton- The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The hotel is always clean and the employees are always cheerfull and helpfull. a great value for the price.

The people in front of us were complaining about the debit card policy and didn't want to move from the desk until a manager was found. There didn't seem to be one available, therefore, the check-in process was way longer than necessary.

This hotel is close to Midway Airport but far enough so you don't feel like staying at the airport. Good restaurant on site and comfortable rooms.

The location of this hotel at a major intersection was worthwhile. The staff was extraordinary and the room was very clean!!! Will return again in the future!

I HAVE STAYED AT THE HILTON OAKLAWN MANY TIMES AND ALWAYS FOUND IT CLEAN, QUIET AND WORTH THE MONEY. THE STAFF IS HELPFUL AND PLEASANT

It would be better if there were microwave and refrigerator in the room. Staff was friendly.

I have stayed here before. Booked 2 rooms, both doubles non-smoking. Received a double smoking and a king non-smoking. Being so tired and not in the mood to argue I just asked if they would be so kind as to give us free breakfast vouchers with they gladly did, so that was nice. At 3am I awake to what seems to be a party going on in my hallway for about […] 20 minutes. Then they finally clear out the hall and the neighbor next door decides to watch TV at 3am. Apparently he got confused on the difference between volume up and power off because he had the TV blasted at full volume. This last about an hour, the only times I could sleep were when the noisy ac/heating unit kicked on in the room. Excellent world class facility. Well maintained, apparent recent remodeling! Convenience of nearby 24 hour pharmacy one half block away. Quiet neat acommodations and attentive staff. Location easy to find, but not directly adjacent to interstate. Would gladly return if business brought me to the area once again!

I really enjoyed my stay. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Oh my God, the bed was wonderful, I can really use a bed like that at home. The service was wonderful as well. The desk help explain everything to me, before I sign any papers. So it was easy to understand everything. I loved the stay there. I would love to come back.

We chose this hotel for the shuttle service to the airport. We were told --no service at the time we needed it. Ad we read-stated " free shuttle service to Midway" . We were told we had to pay a cab $15.00 to get us there on time for the flight--not happy. Desk clerk was very nice and after calm discussion offered and did pay the cab fare.--THANK YOU. […] About 8:30pm we went to the lounge for food..We were stressed about our trip to start like this , then we were kept waiting over 50 minutes for sandwiches ! Yes, the food was good but the service was lousy !! Sorry , I will plan better if I fly out of Midway ever again. Читати далі

My girl friend called the hotel on1/19/12 and left a message for the manager to call her back she didn't. so i called and left her 2 messages she never got back to me. then at 4:30 i called her back and when i talked to her she was very unpleasant to talk to she even raised her voice to me. when i arrived to the hotel i left her another note to call […] me... she didn't. then when i was taking a shower i noticed mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom of room 216 i called the front desk and they moved us to a different room. i took pics of the mold my girl friend had to go to the doctor for chest pain and a painful cough since then but the doctor couldn't prove the pain was from the mold before i left the hotel i filled out a comment card and at the bottom of the card i wrote for the manager to call me she didn't then when i talked to precious from Texas she said the hotel should call me back still no phone call why does the hotel even have telephones they don't use them i want a phone call back from somebody Читати далі

Overall the stay was nice, but I really didn't like the fact that I was in a handicap room. But the room itself was nice.

first off when we arrive i ask where was the indoor pool,they said we don t have indoor pool only outdoor.so i told them it was on the website indoor and outdoor my kids were sad.then we went to our room we saw the bed look broken so i told them about it they chang us to another room.i was upset about this hotel my kids was upset about no indoor pool […] this was a inconveniece. Hotel overall was good, but we did get a smoking room and requested not to have one.

This hotel was a good value for us as we were near family.

The Staff had great recommendations for food options. The hotels food was great bar prices were were a little high but service was great.

Very nice place to stay!

the beds was not comfortable. ac was in bad condition. there was not a refrigrator.

I was on a high floor so the view was very nice. There was however mold in the shower. And the shower was small.

Since I booked through hotels.com which apparently did not confirm my non-smoking room, I was stuck with a smoking room with no other rooms available in the hotel. In the first room I found what appeared to be red make-up stains on the sheets on one of the beds and multiple cigarette burns on the other bed. I was switched to another room(still smoking […] as that was all that was available) and this room was barely cleaner- I had also wanted to take the shuttle to the Orange Line and it was 'broken', so the hotel paid for a cab to take me. When I was ready to be picked up, I called the hotel and was told the shuttle would be able to pick me up in thirty minutes- The shuttle did not show up until an hour and 15 minutes later, leaving me standing at the Orange Line station- The staff tried but the hotel was a bad experience. Excellent Hotel for the price and location!!! Even had karaoke going on in the restaurant area on a Friday night! Would definitely recommend this hotel!
