For the price and the season the Prospector was a good deal. You have to get your key at another location, but it was close and relatively easy...no problems. There were many reasonably priced resaurants close by as well as being close enough to the downtown area and the PC ski area...great public transportaion if you need it. Good, clean, comfortable […] accomodation. It's not a high end hotel style room with all the amenities, but very comfortable considering other much higher priced options. I would stay there again. Got a great deal (half the normal rate) and found the accomodations to be great for the price. Wireless in the rooms, a kitchenette (fridge and microwave) and two comfortable beds with a decent amount of space. Unlike other guests we had no trouble getting in, as there was a receptionist on hand to greet us and explain where the amenities (including […] the hot tub) were located. What a dump! Not even a soap holder in the shower. Furniture looked like it had been left in the rain. DirecTV didn't work. No maid service. No towels on the the weekend. And it was dark enough in the room to grow mushrooms. I will NEVER stay here again.

My Room at the Carriage House with a queen size bed, wi-fi, tv, kitchenitte and friendly staff was beyond my expectations. I will definitely stay there on my next visit to Park City.

This condo was just o.k. Parking was a little confusing. Frustrated a bit when the guy at the counter gave us the wrong key and we had to go to another building to get the keys to our room. No lights in one of the bedrooms, TV did not work, bed were uncomfortable. Other than that it was fine. Also online showed a hot tub but there was no water in it […] when we got there. Читати далі

Stayed there from August 5th - 8th. Desk staff was polite & cordial. Room was clean. Kitchenette was circa 1950, but did the job. Room was on South West Corner with two windows to receive full sun - no A/C and no fan so the heat was a scorching 85F in the room. Couldn't leave windows open because it was close to street level. Called for a portable fan. […] A broken one was delivered 45 min later. Called for another and got a working one a further 45 min after that. Very loud, but had to run all night to get it to a somewhat cool enough state to sleep...on top of the bed. Its probably OK in winter or the cooler months, but avoid this in the summer. VERY COMPLICATED... HAVE LOTS OF PATIENCE!!! we arrived at the hotel well before the "after hours check-in"and there were no staff on hand to get us checked in. so we called on the house phone and got the code to open the lock box to recieve our key. we were then informed that we were staying at another property address so we had to re-load our bags […] and drive down the street to the other property. once we arrived there, they gave us the wrong door code to enter into the building so we had to stand at the door and get ahold of the "after hour" staff again to be able to enter building. we finally got in with the correct code. at check-out , we could not get back into the original building to reurn keys and get a reciept because no one was there and we didn't have the access code so we had to return to the property we stayed at just to leave the key in the room. Our stay was really pleasant. The rates were very good. Must say though- I never interacted with a single person at the hotel in person. Check in is done via phone call, check out is done via a key drop box. If that is what it takes to get this level of accommodation for that good of a rate, I'll take it. The room was clean and decently sized. The bathroom […] was well-maintained (it did not have a tub, only a shower). I was surprised that the room had an HD television and decent satellite- I expected less and was pleasantly surprised. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a good deal and who doesn't care about interacting with a front desk. Would definitely book with them again. Читати далі

Very bad hotel. The cheapest one but if you don`t have money for a good hotel yit`s better for you to sleep in your car then in this rooms. I had the key for on bedroom at building 3 but they wrote bulding 5 in my papers. After I got to my right room there was a very big licking in the bathroom. When I selected this hotel, I read the other reviews and not one said that it was hard to find or in a strange location. It took us an hour and a half to find it and because the prospector is connected to the the carriage house somehow, it makes it even more confusing. There was no front desk. We picked up our key in a security box that wasnt even locked […] so anybody could have gotten our room. The hallway to our room smelt awful and as much as they have tried to remodel the rooms, they're still very old. Yes, the price was good but there were some other options that passed up around the same price and I really wished I wouldn't have! Читати далі

Well it took us about ten minutes to find the hotel since the road mapquest told us to take and the road the hotel was located on was closed so we had to take some back roads, it would have been nice to know that it was under construction. Then we checked in at 7:15 pm, the earliest time you could check in was 4 pm so it wasn't like we were coming in […] late or anything. But there was no one working at the front desk. No workers in site. So we had to call some number and they gave us a password to get into their safe so we could open up their safe and get the key to our room out of it, talk about unprofessional. No one was there to even tell us where the building to our room was so we had to find it for ourselves. The parking lot of our building was barely lit outside and there was no one around, it felt like something out of a slasher movie. Our room was nice and clean, the only problem was that we had ordered a queen bed and they gave us two double beds. So I was pretty annoyed by that, especially since no one was working at the front desk so I couldn't complain about it to anyone. So we were crammed on one of the double beds all night. In the morning we went to drop our keys off and check out, but no one was there again at the front desk. So we had to drop our keys in some drop box. I just don't understand why they didn't have one person at the front dest at reasonable hours? It was very unprofessional and i will not be staying there again. Читати далі

The accommodations were comfortable and conveniently located, but it was a bit of a surprise that there was no "front desk" at check-in, as I arrived very late in the day. Instead, check-in was done over a telephone and with access to a lock box for my room key. Was also surprised to find that there was not daily servicing of the room, but for the price, […] it was not a hardship. More coffeee for the in-room coffee maker would have been wonderful, there was a packet at check-in but none the rest of the stay. Check-out was a similar process of dropping off the key & a phone conversation as 8am was "after hours." That being said...clean, comfortable, convenient, and affordable, this was a great choice for my trip! I will definitely stay here again, and will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends! This room was minimally acceptable, but the price was right. The A/C barely cools and is noisy, thus disrupting sleep. Entry to the office for key return was locked in the morning when we wanted to leave.

There were ants in the bed. There were cobwebs in the bathroom. The nobs had been removed from the air conditioning unit so it was completely inoperable. There was a shower head, but no mechanism for directing the water to the showerhead. It was inoperable. A code was required to get into the lobby where the keys were kept. If it were not for a maintenance […] crew I would not have been able to get my keys. The response of maintenance for attention to the air conditioning unit was zero. I called and left voicemail and received no follow up during the two days of my stay. It was the worst stay I've ever had in a hotel/motel. Читати далі

We were given the wrong key code to get into the hotel when we did get in the key to our room would not work. After wasting an hour of time we finally got someone over to help us get into the room. They said they would have it rekeyed for us the next morning. After our meetings the next morning we returned at 4:00 to get our new key and nothing had […] been done. I pick the hotel because of price. The location was ok. The pics on the web were totally off. I expected a little kitchenet, we got a bar fridge and a microwave. I wish I had known it was upstairs with no elevator. I have bad knees. They also need to have bathroom vents. The place where you pick up your key was never open. I went there 3 times and no […] one was on. It took 20 min to wait on the phone to get info about the swimming pool(wich was bugy) and the jacuzzi was covered. No jets were going. We got a great deal on the room and I wasn't expecting much but the room was very clean, modern and well maintained.
