i highly recommend hotel aniene. modern, clean, professional, nice breakfast, friendly staff. the location of the hotel, as a known problem, didn't bother me much as when i was in rome, i found that there were so many buses with which i could gain access to it. in case of going back to the hotel after mid-night, taking a bus from termini would cost about 13~15 euros.

Rome’s central train station, Termini is the entry point to the city from Fiumicino Airport, and is an impressive modern architectural sight. Between here and glamorous Via Veneto, there are several interesting places to visit. The Palazzo Barberini is a superb baroque palace, the Terme di Diocleziano was the city’s largest bath complex and the Church of Santa Maria della Concezione is remarkable for its Capuchin monks’ crypt.

Bus and metro were very convenient so it was easy to get to all of the major tourist sites. Would probably stay there again.
"Pretty Good hotel for Europe"
Overall, we were pleased with the hotel. It had a great complimentary breakfast in the morning, and access to wi-fi, which were two of the most important things for us. It was farther away from the main sites, but the metro stop was just a 1 minute walk, and termini station was a 5 minute walk. Good restaurants were just around the corner, and the neighborhood […] seemed safe. The room itself wasn't horrible, but wasn't great. The bed was rock hard, and the carpet was dirty, but the bathroom was nice. Others in our party had rooms with wood floors. "CONVENIENT LOCATION!!!"
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The staff were nice and it's a big plus that they can speak English. It was nice to have an all you can eat breakfast. They have contracted an Italian guy to valet, whom you pay cash when you check out. They listed it as 27 Euro a day but that's the minimum. If you brought your typical American vehicle, which is most […] likely an SUV or a minivan, you'll get charge more. The room was very clean, though the hallway smelled like dirty bathroom (don't know why). The rooms are set up with twin beds, which are put together if you request a double bed. The location is great! It's close to most things you want to see in Rome. The main terminal (which is a train and metro stop), is only a few blocks away. There's also a bus stop a block away from the hotel. This bus stop is convenient because there are few bus lines that stops by it. The neighborhood offers a great array of various places to eat. We felt safe walking the alleys with our children. There is also a grocery store a block away, which is great if there are things you have forgotten or need to go to a supermarket for. "Good price, but be careful of the neighborhood"
This isn't a terribly fancy hotel, but it actually exceeded my expectations (relative to what I paid). The bathroom was quite spacious and in good condition, and even the bed was fairly comfortable, though it looked pretty old. My main complaints were that the air conditioning didn't work -- this wasn't a huge issue since I happened to be there on a […] relatively cool night, but I could easily see it being a problem for others who were less fortunate -- and the front desk service was a little abrupt. There was also no wi-fi available, which is something they should remedy. Also: the neighborhood near the train station isn't great at night, so bear that fact in mind if you're coming in late (as I did). At least the streets on the north side of the station (where this hotel is) seem to be better than the ones on the south side (where I first exited the station). Читати далі
"Good price and location"
We picked the Best Western for its location for our last night in Rome upon returning from a cruise. It's close to Termini Station so we had a choice of metro or shuttle bus to the airport. "A good bargain in Rome"
We stayed here in July 2011. The hotel is convenient to central Rome, The Metro and Stazione Termini. There are lots of restaurants nearby however it can be very noisy at night. There is lots of street noise from time to time however it is Rome so, it can be noisy regardless of where you stay. The hotel staff is friendly and very helpful.

"Decent Hotel"
Good hotel, good location. Nothing fancy and don't think its a 4 star hotel. But in Rome its a safe bet in that price range. Only one complaint, the bed wasn't the most comfortably I've ever slept in!..
"Hotel in Rome, near the Termini central station"
The hotel is very close to the central station, just few blocks away. We also had a small grocery store around the corner. Lots of restaurants in the area. Very close to the metro, though we did not use it. Walking around Rome is a wonderful experience. The hotel was very nice, safe, price was reasonable, breakfast was included. "What a great hotel."
Our room was spacious all things considered, the neighborhood was quiet, close to a subway, and with food and a small grocery store near by. I can't remember how we found this hotel while searching, but I would strongly recommend it to anyone closely budgeting their trip to Rome. Oh, and the breakfast was spectacular, too.

"Very good hotel"
The Villafranca is really handy for the Metro and the main Termini station, which makes getting to the historical sites really easy. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine, with plenty on offer. Overall, a practical choice if you're in Rome for a few days.

"Roma experience"
Excellent accommodation. Very clean and tidy. Excellent food
Almost everything about the hotel was fine.We had stayed there previously and had been happy to return to it,mainly for the location.The room ,this time was about half the size of the one we had last time,but it was mainly ok.There was no bath and the shower cubicle was too small.There was only one socket in the whole room,which had a table lamp plugged […] in.This made it difficult to plug in the kettle,when having tea or coffee.There was a problem with an overhead light which kept on lighting up during the night when we moved in the bed.I told reception about it next morning and the lady said she would get it fixed.However it was the same that night.On the last night I did some switching on and off various lights and that night we got darkness when we wanted it. The staff in reception during the day were pleasant and helpful,but the guy in the evening was grumpy and unfriendly ,as he had been the last time.He would certainly not attract business. Breakfast each morning was good,plenty of variety,juices,cereals,fresh fruit,cheese,cold meat and cooked bacon,sausages and scrambled eggs.These could have been warmer.There was a good selection of beverages. Anyway we decided to make the most of our break and not to let small problems irritate us and spoil our visit to the wonderful city of Roma Читати далі

"Villafranca Hotel conveniently located"
We were looking for a well located hotel. This hotel was everything we were expecting. It is a Best Western hotel and it is close to major sightseeings, metro and bus stops and main termini.Service was good, the room was clean and we were a big group traveling with babies. They have very confortable cribs. Everything was ok and price worth it.
"Villafranca"
Stay for the location not the service. Check out was a nightmare. The clerk had a giant line and no one to help him. Also the shower might be the most bizarre setup I have ever seen. It had two waterpiks (one down below and the other up high) with zero water pressure from either. The top one fell and hit me in the head when I got in the shower.

"Great room for the money."
About 5 blocks from the main train station and one stop from the closest metro. Bed was a little hard but very clean and comfortable. Would stay here again. Didn't get a chance to eat their breakfast due to any early train departure. Staff was friendly and spoke English well.
"Needs some Improvement"
Hotel was in a convenient location, about 5-6 blocks from the train station. If you are a light sleeper don’t get a room next to the road. The afternoon staff was more friendly and helpful then the person in charge during the night. Also one of the staff gave a room key to some else in which my parents were staying in at 1030pm. The front part of the […] hotel had some renovations going on during the stay, didn’t create much of a problem. So the breakfast buffet was moved to a restaurant across from the hotel. I really wasn’t impressed with the breakfast at all; the food/eggs were cold. The orange juice was watered down. The room/shower was kind of small, but staying in Europe it is almost standard. I did request a smoking room but they don’t allow smoking inside the room at all, so you have to smoke outside your room on a small baloney. I am giving this hotel a 3 out of a 5 star rating. "Great small hotel off the beaten path"
When traveling by train, this is a great location. Be sure to get directions and walk to the hotel from main station. Our taxi driver when way out of the way and then charged us 20 euros. Under renovations while we were there, but not a problem. Typical small room, but clean and great bathroom.

"Hotel Villafranca ist gut zu erreichen"
Hotel ist sehr gut vom Termini zu erreichen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind ab Termini mit dem Nahverkehr alle zu erreichen.Frühstück könnte es mehr Obst geben für Müsli.
Zimmer nicht sehr groß,Toiletten sehr sehr klein .Das Frühstück ist nicht besonders toll.Ansonsten war es ok.

1)Måste börja med att skriva, att , låt er inte luras av alla bilder ni ser. Det ser inte alls ut exakt som på bilderna. 2) Detta var inte 4 stjränigt, rättare sagt 2. har varit på många 2,3,4 stjärniga hotell runt om i världen. Och måste säga att standarden var låg här. 3) Maten var inte bra, servicen var väldigt bra, hjälpsamma, rummet var knapp […] 25 kvm. Tv i rummet, men inget ingick, man fick betala, väldigt lyhört. Para quem vai se utilizar da estação de trem esse hotel é excelentemente bem localizado. O serviço é muito bom e o pessoal é atencioso. O único problema é a vizinhança que é composta de muita gente oriental, transformando essa vizinhança em uma vizinhança meio "estranha". Mycket bra hotell. Bra läge, bra frukost, mm Tyvärr inget trådlöst internet och sängarna var extremt hårda.

De få fejl der var blev hurtigt rettet, dog burde man ikke kunne få nøgle til et beboet eller ikke-rengjort værelse ved tjek-in. Pas på med at bestille taxa i receptionen, da de kan finde på at bestille deres egen limosineservice til dobbelt takst. Hyggeligt hotel med en god service. Dejlig morgenmad. Ligger i gå afstand til hovedbanegården Termini, hvor der er direkte tog til lufthavnen eller tog til krydstogthavnen.

Ved afrejse blev min hustru og jeg opkrevet 6 euro pr.nat x4 nætter=24 euro i skat til Rom,dette så vi ikke noget om ved bestillingen af hotellet på Hotel.com. Es un buen hotel, el desayuno excelente, la ubicacion cerca del metro y del la estacion termini, lastima que no tenia conexion inhalambrica free como lo habia pensado pero si tenia con hilo pero pagada.

Vi var en familie på to voksne og en teenager. Værelset var fint med gode senge og godt badeværelse. Den første morgen (søndag) var der lidt ventetid inden vi fik et bord til morgenmaden, men det var kun den ene dag. Morgenmaden var god og der var rigeligt. Hotellet ligger kun et par metro-stationer fra centrum af Rom og de vigtigste seværdigheder. […] Det var meget nemt at komme rundt i byen fra hotellet. "Cheap hotel, bad smell"
the hotel is not far away from Termini, the central station. The surroundigs are rather cheap and the restaurant s are not Italian standard. Plus for a supermarket close by. the hotel itself was clean and presentable, but the stay was ruined by two things. The sheets smelled like somebody had pissed in them, and they didn't get changed even though […] we asked for it. The sound isolation was also terrible, and my room was next to the closet where the personnell gathered new sheets and etc. They made a lot of noise early sunday morning. "Best Western Hotel Villafranca"
Room is tidy and neat. Location is a bit far away from Roma Termini (about 10 mins walk unless you are running). The outside environment is pretty messy which seems not really safe if you going back late night.

Veldig uengasjert betjening i resepsjonen. Kunne ikke gi opplysninger om busstider til flyplassen bl.a. Ønsket ikke velkommen tilbake eller sa farvel ved avreise. Så i det hele tatt ut som om de var lei av turister. Rent og pent rom som ble grundig gått over daglig. Kort vei til sentralbanestasjonen. Deilig frokost, men ikke kaffekoker på rommet.
