Hotel Sultan's Inn - Істанбул

I was travelling by myself with my children and I chose this as a cheap alternative. The location was fine, but I tried to stay in a twin room with a 3 year old and a baby, and it was impossible. There simply wasn't enough space in the room, the cot was broken, there is no lift, and no one got up from reception to help with a pushchair down a few steps […] at the entrance. On my final morning, the receptionist was too lazy to get my bags from the second floor (no lift), So, you are left with a choice of leaving the baby in the room by itself while you hump down two flights' of stairs or take the baby downstairs and let them roll around in the reception while you go and get the bags! Thankfully, the pre-booked transfer driver helped me (not his job), and I managed to get myself, the two children, and my two samsonite cases down the stairs. Читати далі

Quite an ordeal. It started off with a 4-floor climb up a tiny circular stairwell just to be greeted by a room the size of a broom closet. The only redeeming quality of the hotel is the front desk staff. They were very helpful and understanding of what their guests were going through.

Just had 3 nights at the Sultan's inn, just missed the snow!. Safe, clean, warm, lots of hot water, good shower, great location and the staff all speak English. The staff were just great, really helpful. Free internet and free tea and cake in the afternoon. Breakfast was good-Turkish (cheese, meats,olives, boiled eggs, bread (wholemeal and white) and […] preserves) but with a choice of western cereals including cocoapops. Lovely yoghurt and honey with apricots for me though. No elevator but even so my wife who is awaiting a hip operation and walks with sticks managed the stairs and the staff were fantastic with her. Breakfast served on the 4th floor-great views over the Sea of Marmara and the Blue Mosque.This place was one of the best value hotels I have ever stayed in. nice and clean hotel, location is good, close to sights, good price

I have stayed there for 4 days in December with my 75 year old Mom. We were very satisfied with this hotel. Breakfast is very good and fresh, and ready even before 8 am., tea/coffee is available any time! Internet connection is good. Our room was small but comfortable. We spend most of our time outside and used hotel as a base for sleeping and shower. […] Front desk personnel were very helpful in everything from waking up in the morning to arranging transfers, and answering all our stupid questions they probably answer every day to every tourist. Hotel is 6-7 minutes away from the Sultanahmet tram station, and popular sites. Although it is difficult to find at first but ones you find it, you will like it! Great value for the price! We had a great stay at the Sultan's Inn and I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a hotel close to all the major sights. Its great value for money and the staff will go out of their way to assist you. The hotel is small (about 15 rooms), the rooms are basic but have everything you need and they were clean. There is a roof terrace with an amazing […] view (if the weather is good which it unfortunately wasn't while we were though). The Blue Mosque etc is a 5 min walk from the hotel and the tram stop is about a 10 minute walk. It was in a safe area with lots of shops and restaurants on your door step. My only criticism would be that we didn't have the best nights sleep as it is so close to the mosque we were woken up during the morning call to prayer, but this is all part of the experience of the city. Also there could be a bigger variety of hot food served at breakfast. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Istanbul who does not want to overspend on a hotel. The room was clean, though small, mostly because of the large bed which I don't consider a bad thing. Bathroom was clean and modern. Our view out the window was not especially appealing as it faced an alley (views on the other side of the building are better). But we went to the breakfast room on the 4th floor (good buffet breakfast spread) and there […] are great views there, but go up one flight to the roof deck and you'll be totally sold - 360 view of the harbor and surrounding neighborhood! We were only there one night for airport transit, but this will be my first stop on any future Istanbul trip. Weather permitting, I'll spend more time on that rooftop. This hotel is a charming little gem and personality. The gentlemen at the front desk and other personnel were very pleasant and helpful. One thing that may be helpful for other American travelers to know is that I had reserved a triple room and was surprised to find out that their idea of a "triple" room is one small bed and one larger one. This is […] okay for a family - not okay for 3 friends who prefer to sleep alone. Apparently this is a European interpretation of "triple" and now I know to book a single and a double instead. Very nice little hotel in a convenient part of the city if you are a tourist who doesn't mind walking just a few minutes to the sights. very friendly people, great breakfast, small room and not enough space for ur baggage, clean sheets but uncomfortable bed, the only draw back was the mulla and his early morning prayer with over 100 decibel loud speaker at 5 Am exactly, "its just extreme" u better have good ear plugs or have to be up at that time, by the way there are few mosques around […] they compete with each other hah, enjoy the stay. Nice small hotel located at walking distance of several must-visit places. The lady at the front desk is very nice and helpful. She communicates well in English and is always willing to make your stay a more comfortable one. Their internet access was a problem for me, I could only connect to a non secure network which I am not sure if it was theirs […] or not. Our room was so small we didn't even have where to put the luggage to open it. Staff at the dining room are neither polite nor willing to help and don't speak English. They start breakfast preparations at 6 and make that much noise, that if your room happens to be located in the floor beneath, you can no longer continue sleeping. Читати далі

Typical turkish hotel in Sultanahmet. Surrounding hotels all beeing modernised. Good value for money. Clean and friendly

room a bit small but ok; more street noise than expected. Everything else very good--food, service, location. Easy walk to obelisk, Blue Mosque, market, convenience store.

Nice place and great location, but no elevator. We had to carry our own suitcases up to the 4th floor! The reception controlled the heat, which was most irritating as we had to keep calling them to turn it on. Also the hot water didn't work well. Our shower was hot, cold, hot, and such. I loved this hotel! It was quite small and quaint, but perfect for my friend and I. The location was great - we literally walked right into the Hagia Sophia when we stepped out of the hotel to look for a restaurant! And the breakfast was to die for. There were sweet Turkish ladies with white kerchiefs on their heads preparing buns and things from […] scratch...everything was so fresh and tasty. (And, as an added bonus, there was tea and cakes on the terrace that you could access any time of day.) Above all the staff was so friendly, they noticed our comings and goings, asked us how our day was and if they could help us find anything. Also, this hotel has several 'sister' hotels just a stone's throw away, so if Sultan's Inn is booked up they will happily place you in a place nearby. Читати далі

The beds are a challenge for us that are taller!

this place was awesome!!! best customer service ever (which really matters if you are an American). this place is also really close to the train station and tons of places to eat. the only bad thing is breakfast...not that great!

トラムのスルタンアフメット駅から、徒歩10分くらいの立地。旧市街の主要観光地は、全て徒歩圏内です。部屋はきれいで快適に過ごせますが、シャワーは時々ぬるくなります。設備の故障で、無線LAN接続ができない状態になっており、インターネットが使えなかったのが不便でした。朝食は、ビュッフェ形式で、一般的なパン・チーズ・ヨーグルトといったもの。屋上のテラスは、ブルーモスクや、マルマラ海が見渡せ、素晴らしい眺望です。基本的には朝食時の利用だと思いますが、夜にテラスに上がると、ブルーモスクのライトアップがとてもきれいでした。

Sultanahmet'i gezecek turistler için konumu açısından uygun olabilir. Ancak odalar çok küçük ve kullanışsız. Gece havalandırma/klima v.b. belirli aralıklarla çalışan bir makine sesi vardı sürekli.. Buna karşılık kahvaltısı oldukça iyiydi..

２月に３泊しました。個人旅行の一人旅女性です。 プチホテルが多い地区で、にぎやかではありませんがのんびりしたところでした。 ですが、スルタンアフメット駅から徒歩５分くらいの場所で交通の便はよかったです。（ただし途中かなりの坂道があるので荷物をもっての移動は大変・・・） ホテルはけして豪華ではありませんでｈしたが、ドライヤーやスリッパ、アメニティーもそろっており、清潔に保たれていました。 朝食は簡素なものでしたが、十分です。 いろいろとフロントでＯＰの申し込みもできるので便利でした。 値段から見て十分満足できるホテルです。

Litet hotell som ligger lite off men helt ok. Rummen ar sma men hyfsat rena. Dock ligger det flera mosques i narheten som du hor kl 05 till 22 pa kvallen. Samt det fanns bedbuggs i mitt rum. Personalen var mycket trevliga och hjalpsamma!
