Very friendly staff. Rooms were a little outdated but were very clean. Hotel was very well situated, close to center of town. We would recommend.

The location was great, right in downtown close to town square. this hotel is not the four seasons but it is clean and well maintained. For the price and the location it really couldn't be beat. If you are looking for a place to sleep while you are out and about this place is it.

This is an old motel. If you want a resort it is not for you. If you want a clean room to sleep in it works just fine. Price for quality is in line.

Location was great. Parking not good. Bed comfortable. Water temp was off either it was warm or hot no cold.. For rate and location would stay again for sure !!

We stay in Jackson every other month but this was the first and the last time we will stay at the Anvil. The room smelled musty and reeked of old smoke; the room was dirty and covered in dust. They said the beds were queens, but if they were it was the smallest queen I have ever seen, when I questioned the front desk staff about it he was very rude […] and asked me if I wanted a measuring tape to measure it myself, this guy was a jerk and clearly did care about costumer service at all. No problems with the hotel other than that my husband & I , both in our late 70s had to carry our 2 50 lb. suitcases up 2 flights of stairs. Wish i had called the motel to ask for a room on the first floor. Hotel location was very good.

I heard so-so comments on the Anvil Motel before our stay; it was for one night, so I thought Let's give it a shot. I'm glad I did; it was clean, well located, everything worked in the room, it was comfortable and relax. Overall it was a good deal.

Room was on second level. The front desk person carried our luggage up since we are elderly and there was no elevator. Bed was super comfortable. Room was clean and smelled nice.

Room included nice towels and beds and toiletries. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was limited but ok for a fast get-away. WiFi worked sometimes.

Great location downtown near restaurants and shopping. Friendly staff. Family run older motel have stayed twice 5 years apart and would definitely stay there again if in area.

It wouldn't be my first choice if I were to go back to Jackson Hole, but it served it's purpose for a nights stay as we passed through. It was a great location - a block away from all the action. We arrived later and it appeared parking was all gone. I asked about parking while inside checking in and I was told to try and find a spot on the street. […] I asked what if I couldn't and the woman told me she would try and help me. I drove around the block and noticed all the signs said three hour only parking. Thankfully I found a spot in the back of the hotel, which wasn't mentioned by the person when checking in. As I walked in the office to check in there was a man asking if there were any open rooms left. They had one room left and offered him a discounted rate (a good amount cheaper than I got). I then checked in and was given a room with a 100-series number. My 80 year old grandma was traveling with me so I thought great - first floor, what I was going to ask for. It was my fault for not asking further - this room was on the 2nd floor (and there is no elevator). Unfortunately the man that asked about the last room and rented it after we checked in - we saw walk into a room on the first floor.. (doh!). So ask if you want first floor! Lodging prices at Jackson, WY are simply ridiculous. You take prices in rest of the country and add 50-100% and you get Jackson. Taking this qualification into account, this motel offers a decent quality for the price. The room was nice enough, had all I needed (I don't have "royal" expectations and value my money more), refrigerator and microwave make […] it a good longer-stay option. Good location, too. Friendly staff. WiFi could improve, especially in the morning. Floor/ceiling above a bit noisy (squeeking with every step of a fellow guest living above - and he/she was restless first night), which is probably one real complaint I'd have. Shower curtain was missing when we checked in, hotel was completely booked, no other rooms available and no extra shower curtains available. Saved our showers for the next stop.

Great location but small room, somewhat musty smell (needs overhaul), and loud AC system. Comfort of bed so-so. Bathroom was tight, but clean.

It was much more dated than the online photos showed. The decor was clean but old, the room comfortable and large but it looked and felt horrible. The bed was huge and comfortable and everything worked, including the air-conditioning and fridge. I had an upstairs room, up two outside flights of wooden stairs. Everything they had to say previously is pretty well said. The hotel itself is a little older, but clean and comfy. Parking sucks, but if you get in after 6 p.m. you can park on the street. It is within a block or two of a lot to do in town square. If you need an overnight on your way through or out of town, do it.

Only stayed the one night on my way to the parks. Room was comfortable and staff friendly. Hotel has good location in Jackson and great for Grand Teton park. Would stay again.

Hotel has a great location close to the town square and many shops and restaurants. No need to drive everywhere, get out and walk. Had a microwave and small fridge so we could use the food we had brought in our cooler. Not a huge room but comfortable for the 2 of us. Slept great, quiet location.

Breakfast was included but as the office didn't open till 8am we didn't wait around to try it out, we were too busy going out to look for moose, bear and elk. Yeah, it ain't the Hilton, but it was a nice cozy little room. It was perfect for just a bed to stay in over night. I mean...are you really in Jackson to live in your hotel room? Place was clean, good condition. Bed was surprisingly comfy. I'd recommend it any day for smething quick.

This was a pretty decent hotel at a fair price. It is right downtown in Jackson within walking distance of the shopping and bars, which is very important as Jackson has way too many cops and drinking and driving is a bad idea there.

We stayed at the Anvil two nights and couldn't be happier. It is within walking distance to resturants and shops and easy to find. We ate breakfast at the Bunnery every day, which was wonderful. And had a very enjoyable dinner at the Merry Piglets. I would stay at this hotel again.

Clean and comfortable though pleasantly old fashioned in line with the whole town. One block off the centre so you can skip the motel breakfast and have a full one in town. Parking in Jackson can be difficult and the motel has fewer spaces that rooms.

This was the cheapest place we could find (it was Labor Weekend) that still had availability and a bit concerned given its 2 star rating. However, it was clean, the facilities worked fine, and was an excellent location for Jackson and Grand Teton, especially being able to walk to any of the restaurants in town (The Bunnery is one block away). The Anvil is an older hotel located only a few blocks from downtown Jackson. It is of the older style, small bathrooms, adequate bedroom. The bed was quite comfortable, and the price a fraction of the elite establishments. If you're looking for that sort of stay in Jackson, the Anvil is a good choice.
