Hotel room & facilities were good. Location very good(for access to main stream restaurants & retail outlet stores). Staff pleasant. Breakfast (self-service hot & cold buffet) was poor. Range of hot food very limited (scrambled eggs were grey) no butter / margarine for toast. machine coffee not drinkable.

Great hotel, couldn't be closer to the restaurants or clubs and you still get a great nights sleep. No noise from outside yet there is a lot going on.

Good price, excellent location near to the clubs, shops and eateries. Check was simple as was check out. Easy instruction for parking, which was free in the Gun Wharf Quays car park, and to the room. Breakfast satisfying.

The hotel is in a great location. I thought hotels in Portsmouth are quite expensive and chose this one which is a little higher than others just because of its proximity to the Gun Warf Quay. Cheaper hotels would have required a taxi ride so maybe a false economy. The breakfast is stated as continental but is more than that. While not a full english […] is worth £10 per person. The hotel also gives a voucher for 10% or 20% off local restaurants and free parking for 24hours in the adjacent multi story car park. If you can take advantage of these the hotel is good value. Perfect place and location. Free undercover parking for the first 24 hours and then only £2 for the next day. Air-condition temperature and fan did not work in one room. But did supply electric fire. Breakfast was ok but hot food needed to be hot and not hardly warm.

trouble from the start, not the room we required, what does a couple do with 2 single beds, bad attitude when complaint went in. very poor breakfast. requested a deposit then told when checking out i would get the deposit back in 7 - 10 days. never again will i stay in a Holiday Inn. Poor Poor Poor

Convenient location, comfortable hotel. Super close to everything in Gunwharf. Convenient for train and ferries. We will stay again. Book early for weekend stays, it seems to get busy...

All in all a nice hotel, but the room was just ok. The pillows were uncomfortable, but from what I heard from other visitors this hotel is as good as it gets in the area unless you are willing to pay top dollar. The location is awesome, you can walk to many place, close to the bus/train station, service is great and no shortage of restaurants.

I booked this hotel couple of days before my journey, its not easy to get good hotel in peak of summer. I was pleasantly surprised when i reached the hotel. Most impressive was the location of the hotel, it was in Portmouth city centre which had something for everyone. We had great fun staying in this hotel, highly recommended.

Great local ,great shoping, Very helpfull staff, very comfey room loved it all will be back again soon i hope.

had a wonderful stay for two nights here, everything was very good, close to shops and marina , rooms good, staff helpful ,clean and quiet, parking facilities good, food good, if anything i could remark on was no bacon at breakfast but otherwise great, cant wait to go again.well done

the staff were very polite and helpfull, the hotel was clean and comfortable, the location is perfect and overall the experience was one that we will remember for very positive reasons.Thank you.

Hotel is centrally located to the Gunwarf shopping canter. Rooms are compact but sufficient. Breakfast Buffet is average. Value for money is not the best, but considering the surrounding options it is not bad. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Literally 2 min from the train station, so no taxi/bus required. It's in walking distance from all sights/ferries/shopping. Very good customer service although there was no alternative to milk for breakfast (you have to pre-request that) it didn't spoil my stay. Amazing, the staff are very helpful despite the fact that I saw them doing three jobs.

Clean and modern. Great location - lierally in the middle of Gunwharf - ideal for shops, bars and resaurants and only a short walk to Southsea seafront and historic Portsmouth.

Check in was very fast. Very friendly service. Hotel room was clean, modern and just the right size. (I travelled alone and booked a double.) Hotel is in the middle of Gunwharf Keys, bars restaurants, a Tesco Express, Outlet shopping, the Royal Dockyards and the Spinnaker Tower right at the doorstep. Fantastic location! Friendly staff! Great Hotel! A perfect place for a perfect weekend in Portsmouth.

Das Hotel ist für einen längeren Aufenthalt nicht so geeignet, da es keine Schränke im Zimmer gibt.

Very good Hotel, rooms was ok, but only one chair in the room, lift was out of order a few days, rooms are klean and tidy, will come back again, thanks for a nice holliday.
