It's a beautiful hotel, and clearly was at one point a very high end place to stay. However it is still nice but all the shops and restaurants on site are deserted. Be prepared to drive to town to get a meal or pay the price at the only casino owned restaurant. Found out while checking out that majority of the place has been sold as condo's/timeshares. […] So not crowded at all, but explains why all the shops and restaurants are vacated. Читати далі

People live there. Seems like tourists out of place. Weird!! Hot tub not hot in Luna building. Village absolutely dead, restaurants very expensive. However Luna resort is beautiful and comfortable. Plan on buying groceries or having meals elsewhere. Lots of walking trails.

First, the man at the check in counter was trying to be professional and courteous but the 2 female employees behind him were not. Second, I dont think that the room had been used for a while or their cleaning staff are short. Anything above 5 feet tall had dust on it. Finally, other than the dust, the room was wonderfull. The internet service is like dialup service on WiFi and hard line connection. The rooms are showing their age. Drapery was broken, TV stand was broken, Bathroom sink would not produce hot water as the faucet was broken. Unique location but nothing has been done to maintain these rooms as compared to the rates they charge.

The hotel staff was less than friendly. We were given 2 different sets of sheets that were dirty, and the staff did not even apologize for the inconvenience of us having to change our linens 3 separate times. However, the location was fantastic, close to all of the restaurants & attractions of Lake Las Vegas. There are beautiful views everywhere.

My family visited Henderson over Thanksgiving and we booked a 2 bedroom suite with full kitchen for our 4 night stay. The female employee who checked us in was not very helpful at all, she offered no information unless directly asked a question, such as "where should I park my vehicle", etc. The room was quite nice with a large balcony and beautiful […] view, however from Tuesday until Saturday during our stay, we received absolutely no room service of any kind. No clean towels, no refill for the coffee maker, no shampoo, etc. We left the "Maid Service Needed" sign out on the door Wednesday and Thursday with no response. My husband was not happy and since there is no room service either - nor wireless internet in the rooms - he had to go out and pick up breakfast for the family. The owner of the local breakfast shop told him that the hotel was in Foreclosure; however we paid for going price for our room and expected the daily service that should have been provided. The beds were very hard, my sister finally went to sleep on the pull out couch as she found her bed too uncomfortable and the T.V.'s in the room are still the old box style, 25" with no high definition. If you're looking for wireless internet you're out of luck, unless you want to go sit in the lobby. I was told there was a cord near the phone jack that I could plug my laptop into for internet service, however that cord was never found. And if you plan to visit the Village, you are not allowed to reenter the hotel from the pool area (back of the building), even though there are key card readers to gain entrance. A security guard will refuse to unlock the gate, even after shown your key card, and tell you that you must walk all the way back through the Village to the front of the hotel to enter that way. Overall, though the room was pleasant enough, the lack of service provided by the staff at the hotel has ensured that we will never come back, nor would I recommend this hotel to anyone else. I have stayed here in the past and paid significantly more. The double room we rented was bright, attractive, clean and overall a great value. A nice alternative to the strip. GJ.

The Aston MonteLago Village Resort is a great deal. Beautiful room with a kitchen, very clean, and the best part...a peaceful lake view. If you decide to go, make sure you get a room with a lake view. Some rooms are considered lake view, but you may not actually have a good view of the lake. That's what happened to us, but we requested a room change, […] and they gladly accomadated us with a 4th floor room with a balcony and a beautiful lake view at no extra charge. If you're going to Vegas, consider this as an alternative to staying on the strip. There's a free shuttle that will take you to the strip and bring you back. I would come back again. Читати далі

I was very suprised with the upscale surroundigs and the upscale facilities of the hotel. It was located next to a quaint shopping village. I will return.

Wonderful location. Very quite. The lake is fabulous. Casino is completely automated; all machines. The bar is a very nice place to sit and relax and talk with the locals. Staff very friendly. The surrounding village area must be visited.

Two very nice pools. Small casino close by. A few restaurants and a Irish Pub very close by. Too bad all the shops in the area are closed. People say they are coming back but it certainly doesn't look promising. Don't see how the few that are open can make it. Went for Saturday night Jazz on the Lake which was awesome! We loved everything about Lake LasVegas but most of the shops are closed. Economy has hit this area hard it looks like.

Most people never get to see this side of Vegas which is a shame. For those willing to venture off the strip and enjoy it's accessiblity from a relatively short drive then this is the place. The natural beauty and peacefullnes of the resort and it's proximity to Lake Meade and the dam make it the most ideal of location. Don't look for the staff to overwelm […] you and yet they are courtious and will met your needs. The restaurants and shops are quite adequate and the Casino has reopened and will add a nice addition for many. Most important to us is that this entity is the most FAMILY FRIENDLY we know of in Vegas. It's a place you'll be proud to take your loved ones. The facility is great! Читати далі

This is a quiet, beautiful set of rental condos with lovely shops and good food right on the premesis. It was nice to get away from the craziness of the strip and calm down and sleep well. check in was a breeze and the staff was very friendly. The grounds were lovely and there were several choices for dinner at the Village. It was close to the conference we attended. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Perfect escape aftering spending 7 days on the Vegas strip!!! Village is tremendous with music and lovely restaurants! Totally enjoyed our stay!

We were looking for a bit of calm after staying several days on the Vegas strip and it was a welcome get-away. The address of the hotel has nothing to do with the location of the room. The room we booked ended up being across the lake from the room we expected at the Monte Lago Village. We had to pay extra money to the hotel at check in to get the room we thought we paid for in the booking.

The hotel/ condo where we stayed was very clean and nice. The bed was okay - kind of lumpy/hard. Amenities in the suite - fridge/micro was very nice and the pool was very nice and clean as well. The area of shops/ restaurants was nice, but the majority were closed/ empty and their casino was closed (set to open memorial day weekend 2011). The Irish […] pub, 3 amigos restaurant and the gelato place were all excellent and the staff everywhere were very friendly. We had issues with the trash room by the elevator smelling extremely bad and cleaning staff trying to mask it with tons of lysol. Also our keys ceased to work the day before check out and were promised new ones in 10-15 min;s. Long story short, after several phone calls and 40 min later, we walked across the lake bridge to get them ourselves. The Aston Monte Lago was a great choice for our family gathering on Mother's Day weekend. We had a 2bd/2ba condo overlooking Lake Las Vegas. Beautiful. The unit, #452, was clean, all the rooms were suprisingly spacious, and the furniture and decor was very nice, modern and comfortable. We spent most of our time out on the balcony or around the six person […] table. The kitchen was stocked and had full size appliances which made the food prep easy. (Also, a SuperWalmart is a 7 min. drive away to get your groceries.) We had six people staying in the condo and it never felt crowed. We had twelve people over for Sunday brunch and there was a chair and plenty of space for all of us, including the balconies' chairs and tables. The village was a nice place to go for a walk although lots of empty store spaces. The pool areas were clean and had plenty of lounges. In the evening people picniced while listening to a live jazz concert on the grassy knoll by the lake. Very nice. One major plus is the attatched, underground self-parking for the guests. No hot sun on your car and a short, inside hallway distance with an elevator between condo and car. The staff was friendly and housekeeping was very good. This resort is a bit more expensive than some others in the Vegas area, but it's worth the extra cost. We will definitly be back. Читати далі

This is my favorite stary-cation. It is close yet is so far from the "noisy" vegas. It is so green & the water is fun to see. Just feels like a little hawaii because of the green.

This is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Las Vegas in Henderson outside Las Vegas. The rooms are large, bright and clean. There is a kitchenette, just right for making breakfast. Unexpected stay in Vegas, brought us here at the last minute. We didn't need to be near the strip, the noise or the crowds, so we really lucked out! Clean, comfy and spacious! Would highly recommend, when you don't need or want to be in Vegas proper!

When we arrived, and checked in we had to take our drive to another part of the resort and once we got to the room we opened the door and someone else was in the room. We returned to the main checkin area and it took about 15 minutes to get another room. Our total check-in time was about an hour! There is supposed to be internet access in the room […] but we were not able to get on the internet in our room! There were not resturants to around to get a cup of coffee. I think since a lot of the area has gone bankrupt that may be why! I would not stay at this hotel again! Читати далі

What an amazing surprise. This hotel was gorgeous and exceeded our expectations of service and beauty. The price was right and the location nice for those who are trying to stay off the beaten path of the Vegas Strip. Two things to note. The heating system in the resort does not work when temperatures are below freezing outside. It has something to […] do with the condensor. So, it was 20 degrees the night we stayed and we had no heat in the room. It was very uncomfortable. Apparently the whole resort was affected and they were completely booked for the new year so we had to tolerate the best we could. Second, there were a number of restaurants at the resort, very lovely, but a bit out of our price range. The surrounding area of Henderson has been hard hit by the recession so many places were closed down, but there were other food options available. We booked online and had no real idea of what we were getting. We were taking our grandchildren to the Hoover Dam and new bridge on our way back to northern Arizona. We needed a nice, reasonably priced hotel within a short distance to the dam. We were very happily surprised at our choice. Great room, great restaurant, great service at a very reasnable […] price. Stayed here for our 10th anniversary. VERY NICE. The room turned out even better than we hoped- there was a kitchen and a nearby store in the village area had some grocery items so we cooked our own breakfast and ate it on our patio- The property was beautiful, the pool was nice and overall it was a lovely stay! The village restaurants were a bit pricey […] for our liking but convenient and very nice. We prefer the quietness to the hustle of the strip and will definitely stay here again... have already recommended it to others. Читати далі

But don't expect much "Vegas" activity. With the recent closing of Lake Las Vegas's only casino, and very little golfing available, there's not much draw to this area unless you plan on spending time at Lake Mead, or taking a day-trip into Las Vegas which is about an hour away. The resort has a feel of luxury, which seems to be fading. As an example, […] there are maintenance needs at this particular hotel which appear to go without much notice. Because the number of employees seems to be very low, this may explain why so many things are going un-repaired. The hotel has a 'green' energy program in place which became the source of my overall discomfort. In order to have any power supplied to the room, you place a hotel key in a slot just inside the door. This means, no hotel key in the 'green' slot, no lights, no air conditioning. The days we spent here saw temperatures well above 110! ...so, Air Conditioning was kind of important. However, because of their green program slot, our AC would run for 2 - 5 minutes, and then stop .... never to turn on again ... whether or not the pre-set temperature had been met. This allowed me the pleasure of getting up throughout the night to re-insert the hotel key into the 'green' slot for the AC to come back on for another 2 - 5 minutes. The system worked well for our first 2 days, then the problems developed and remained (despite a maintenance call and visit) through the remainder of our stay. Overall - we enjoyed the premises, especially for the deal we got. We could see ourselves returning here again, but probably only for a convenient location relative to Mead. Читати далі

This is a great resort that needs a little bit of a boost. Visitors should keep this resort alive. We've enjoyed our stay at the Luna Di Luso building, which is the contemporary building. The room was very clean and the view is excellent. There was a few events going on for 4th of July, which were very nice, and a lot of people showed up to this event. […] The two things that I didn't like were that there were no sign that guide people to the reception building where they can check in. I spoke with the manager about it and he informed me that they are working on imporving the signs. The other thing that I didn't like was that I expected some type of food and beverege service at the pool, but unfortunately, there wasn't. We enjoyed the pool, lake, sun, walks and service at the Montelago. There are a few restaurants on the village, but they are pricey. We would definately stay there again. Читати далі

The hotel is located on a lake, very nice gardens, great pool and spa area but the village was dead. The resort went backrupt so there is nobody at the resort and the restaurants don't even open for breakfast anymore. A few restaurants said on the door open at 11am but still were closed at 11h15 so there is nowere to have breakfast. The casino is no […] closed. This place was great when we first visited in 2006 but now it feels too depressing... Also it was so hard to get towels for the pool - they only had 3 a the reception every morning and we couldn't get 2 extra pillows the first night because the housekeeping closet was closed!!! We enjoyed our one bedroom suite, rooms were clean, roomy and modern, everything worked well. Room service was a little slow to bring requests like extra towels or to bring up a remote for the bedroom TV. Nice, clean pools, free entertainment on some nights and a nice man made lake with boats/kayaks...for rent. My kids loved the experience.

The hotel and surrounding area was great. The bed was hard and not what I would expect from such a nice place.

MonteLago Village Resort is drop-dead beautiful. The setting is lush, green, serene and lovely. Prices are very reasonable and the service was great. There were many conveniences in the room i.e. cooktop, fridge, sink & dishwasher, microwave, blender, dishes etc., coffee maker. We would gladly stay here ageain.

FAKE fake fake; situated way outside Las Vegas (and hard to find- thank heaven it wasn't dark!) very superficial setting. We are in the desert! It had lawns, plantings, water running everywhere (even a 'waterfall' at the pretentious entryway. The check in area was way accross a lake (and in between was a shopping area) The room was gorgeous and very […] comfortable. We were on the third floor and the ice machine was in the basement (parking garage) In the morning I walked along the bridge area to where I thought a coffee shop was. It was like a ghost town. 우리나라 식으로 보면 호텔이라기보다 콘도미니엄이라고 보면 되겠음. 그런데 숙박객이 없이 텅 빈 관계인지 여러가지로 불편했음. 우선 객실에서 FRONT DESK나 HOUSE KEEPING 등에 전화가 불통이었고, 구내의 식당이나 상점들은 거의 모두 문을 닫은 상태였으나 외부로 나갈 길은 멀어서 그나마 영업중인 간이 이태리식 식당 외의 선택권이 없었는데, 주문한 STEAK는 어쩔 수 없이 삼켜야만 했던 최악이었음. 그러나 객실은 깨끗했고 직접 취사할 수 있는 장비들이 자그맣게 설치되어있음. COFFEE MAKER는 물론 작은 식기세척기까지 있으니 도피행각에는 좋을듯........
