We enjoyed our stay at Ridgeway Inn. The room was comfortable, good beds, and nice bathroom updates. We loved the wine and cheese reception @ 5:00, was a nice touch. The staff was very friendly and made us feel at home. It was a cozy place.

There were no bath towels, washcloths, hand towels in the room upon arrival, but the front desk brought them immediately. There was not enough parking space and the overflow was across the street, but we were not informed until we returned from eating dinner and the office was closed. The office hours are not convenient, they shut down way too early. […] You can hear the neighbors kids screaming and crying all night long. Room was noisy with plumbing sounds from neighboring rooms and slaming of doors from neighbors. They did a nice job of remodeling an old motel to a Inn. Bathroom was very clean and updated. Would try another Inn when returning to Blowing Rock, NC. Breakfast needs to be improved for the price paid for the room.

This hotel is just around the corner from downtown Blowing Rock. The rooms were just right and, for an older construction, has had modern upgrades so it is just enough modern to make it very comfortable. Hope to go back on my next trip to Blowing Rock. Plus the staff was excellant.

Had 2 rooms and spent one night. It was perfect! I wish we could have stayed longer, because the beds were sooo comfortable.We have stayed before and did not have an updated room. So if checking in request 101 or 102. Enjoy!!

The breakfast/lounge/reception area was very nice, clean and good breakfast choices. The bed linen was clean and the bathroom was very clean however, the rest of the room (106) was grubby, not dusted and you would not have wanted to walk on the filthy carpet in bare feet!

The inn was completely charming!! No complaints whatsoever!! Will visit again, in the near future. Friendly staff also. Small dining area...we went to our room with food, as there were no tables left over. Perhaps a little soft music in the dining area..some of the guests seemed unfriendly.

The pictures on the website really make the rooms look spacious and classy. This is a very dark, dated hotel with small rooms and NO balcony like the ad showed our "deluxe queen" would have. The hotel was far too expensive for what it is. It advertised a balcony, when in fact, all it had was the walkway to all the rooms. Very disappointed. Tiny bath, and only one mirror in room, that being over the sink in the bathroom.

Very nice hotel in a cute small town, close to shopping and local resturants. You can leave your car parked and walk to everything. Breakfast the next morning also good...enjoyed our stay here.

It is a converted Motel to a very nice "Inn". The rooms are smallish, but I had no complaint. Every thing was clean and they spent more on these rooms then I typically find at 4 star NY hotel. Nice location walking distance to downtown. Be careful arriving late, office closes at 9p and I got there minutes before closing. Typical renovated ski hotel w/ rooms w/ separate outside doors. Tends to get a bit musty, since AC not run most of winter. (but better than most similar places i have stayed.) Seemed recently renovated, clean room, reasonable […] beds. Breakfast and coffee gave good start to get back on the road. Coffee in room and mid-sized fridge would make this a good base for a few days of exploring. Clean room with new upgrades. Tub did have hair from previous guest. Needs tub handrail for help getting out. Also needs a DVD player or one from front desk available. Good stay but not worth what we paid for.

We enjoyed our stay at the Ridgeway Inn. The room was comfortable, small television, but adequate since that's not why we were in Blowing Rock. Nice complimentary breakfast...delicious coffee. Great location....nice to be able to walk to dinner, shopping, and convenient store. So close to hiking and parks...we would return.

The place was cute and right within walking distance of everything. The staff was friendly and the continental breakfast was the usual fare~ coffee, tea, breads, fruit, cereal and hard boiled eggs. No one at hotel upon my arrival -- got key from box. Toilet did not work - had to wait for someone to come and give me different room. Had to go to sister hotel to get breakfast.

Hotel was really cute-only 19 rooms and we were the only guests during off season. When we arrived there was an envelope taped to the office front door with our name on it with a key inside and a number to call if any problems. I thought this was wonderful affirmation of small-town American trust. The main reason I would recommend this hotel to others is because of the location. The price is too high for the accomodations. The breakfast was OK, and the staff was very friendly and helpful, but the room and grounds seem a bit rundown.

Although this hotel has a few years on it. It has been maintained & kept clean. Also the room was updated with its furnishings & they had free wifi. Yhe Staff was very courteous and i definately recommend it. It is in a great location and you can walk anywhere in town. I will definately stay here again.

Room in terrible condition. Carpet filthy, never took shoes off. Bed spread disgusting. Sheets didn't even fit on old matress. Space heater was heat source in the room. The location was good but definitely not worth the money. Next time will stay in Boone and drive into Blowing Rock for the day.

There was no soap or other toiletries and it was too late to get any once we realized it. The room howled as the wind blew through. It was clean and the staff nice but the internet was not available all night. The breakfast was ok. The drapes and bead spread were nice but this is not a 3 star hotel.

Enjoyed the excellent location for a midweek vacation to look at fall leaves. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants. The main drawback to the room was carpet. It needs to be replaced. The breakfast was a nice toucn and the wine and cheese was a winner. Enjoyed our stay.

This appears to be a converted motel (they have cottages at a substantially higher rate). The two king/queen beds are much better than a single queen you find in some places. The free breakfast was average, nothing special. You can walk around the corner to "downtown" for shopping and/or dining. Very convienient location. An easy drive to Blowing Rock […] (which I would skip). Go to the Blue Ridge Music Center, Grandfather Mountain, and surrounding sights instead. Would recommend if needing a hotel was a must but would empahsise that iot is an average hotel. Wine and cheese in afternoon and continental breakfast were nice and good way to meet other people. Hotel is a bit outdated with velour breadspreads and cleanliness was average. Could use a good update on carpet and spreads. Location was great!

You can't beat the location of this hotel. It's walking distance to everything in downtown Blowing Rock and you can get right on the Blue Ridge Parkway about a mile up the road. The rooms and lobby are immaculate and the patio/balcony area are a nice touch. The views aren't mountain views since it's on a busy corner in town but that's why I go hiking; […] to see the views. The breakfast was a typical continental breakfast, nothing extremely special although it is positioned awkwardly in a corner which causes some back-up issues when it's busy. The water pressure in the shower is pretty good and the shower head is passable although since I have fairly thick hair, it took a while to get all the soap out. My biggest complaint, by far, is the pillows. Normally I bring my own but managed to forget mine this trip. The pillows are so thin, hard and lumpy I woke up with my ears hurting. The beds are mediocre as well. The first night we slept in the firmer of the two beds and it was so hard, my hips hurt in the morning as wel. So the second night we switched with the kids and slept in the softer of the 2. That night we rolled into the middle of the bed & had to prop up against each other. I think if I had remembered my own pillow, I could have dealt with this better but I did not get much sleep either night even after spending a day hiking and shopping. Fabulous breakfast. Stained carpet. Very comfortable bed. Constant road noise. Ceiling fan was helpful. Very small room. Limited shower water pressure. Great location. We could walk to all our favorite spots. There are better places to stay in Blowing Rock.

We have stayed at Ridgeway Motor Inn five times over the past fifteen years. The location is excellent, Main Street Blowing Rock was right around the corner and so convenient! The front desk staff is much nicer now that ownership of the hotel has changed hands. They offer a very nice continental-type breakfast and Seattle's Best coffee each morning […] as well as wine and cheese in the evening. We could also tell that some of the furniture and beds in our room looked to have been recently updated. Our room was right beside the 2nd floor deck where you can sit out in the rocking chairs and relax. Nice Touch, and something you can't get at a chain motel. Sadly, we only encountered one negative issue and that was related to the cleanliness of our room. I travel extensively on business, so please understand I have very realistic expectations. We found hair in the bathroom and hair between the sheets which had obviously not been changed between guests. The carpet in our room is old, worn and smelled bad. Upon our arrival, we noticed the room had a musty odor and this lasted the entire weekend. I won't give the Ridgeway all "bad marks" because we were pleased with the service, breakfast and location and amenities. But frankly the lack of cleanliness in our room was a unwelcome surprise. This was disappointing and we will probably book at another hotel next visit to the NC High Country. Читати далі

These hotel photos were taken when the hotel first opened! It was dirty, the floor had mysterious stains. The bed was broken. I believe the reviews on this hotel were written by the staff or owner. Do not stay here, much nicer hotels in blowing rock.
