"Elliot Inn"
After a two night stay at the King Charles Best Western, a sister facility to the Elliot Inn, I was expecting an amazing experience. The King Charles was reasonably priced, friendly and accomodating and offered free parking. The Elliot Inn was 350% more expensive with no amenities. Jacuzzi only. No hot breakfast. Not even a vending machine with crackers. […] Yes, the room was clean. Parking was across the street but expensive. When asked if the Inn had any food available they said, "No". End of story. I am very unhappy about the entire experience and feel that they took advantage. Читати далі
"Charleston Best Place to Stay"
This was very convenient to everywhere in Charleston around Meeting Street and the Market Place. Very comfortable. Clean. Only thing missing was a coffee maker in the room but they served coffee in the outside pool area. Would definately stay there again.

Several couples stayed here March 2012....great location..loved the courtyard...one suggestion we all had was to include some protein with the morning breakfast offering....

A True Charm of Charleston ! Charm, Quaint, Comfortable King bedding, Nice touches ,Minor Breakfast,afternoon Fruit water, 5pm Wine & Cheese nice touch, Minor refreshments in small quite drawing room,nice small hot tube/ pool in Lovely courtyard. Great location !Right between Meeting & King, we were able to walk almost every where , had we rented a […] car, Parking Lot just across street (fees apply) The Dash trolley stop right at the corner of Queen & King.GREAT ! Close to shopping,in town sites. Great Stay. Great choice, would Stay again & direct friends & family to the Elliott House as first choice. (only minor issues with surrounding establishments noises) not Elliott House Inn issues! One cannot teach or make others be more respectfull. THANKS TO All for a GREAT GIRL FRIENDS GETAWAY ! "Conditional reccomendation"
Wonderful outdoor jacuzzi, room and bed quite comfortable. Staff was great especially with housekeeping staff finding a lost ring. We were in the only room facing the road, and very early in the AM the trash compactors across the street start start getting noisy. Bring earplugs in case you get that room.

"Stay at Elliott House"
I was impressed with how clean it was and comfortable. The breakfast was also nice. The only thing I did not like was how much the garage across the street charged for parking overnight, $20.

"Perfect except no blackout curtains"
Lovely old hotel with great service and very pretty comfortable rooms in a superb location. The big downside was no blackout curtains, just venetian blinds on the windows and a very bright streetlight about 6 feet away from the window. It was almost bright enough to read in the room. "Elliott House - looks nice but weak on the details"
It's a pleasant looking place in a great location in historic Charleston. Our room was small but clean & comfortable. But the hotel flubbed some of the details. For example, no water glasses in the room, a sink stopper that stopped nothing, a shower so slippery that I risked life & limb to get out of it, wine & cheese in the afternoon with cheap boxed […] wine. This is a delightfully charming Historic Building that has very tastefully been converted to a small hotel. The furnishings in the rooms are reproductions of the period furniture appropriate to the building. The suprises of the Wine and Cheese and Breakfast in your room or in the Courtyard were wonderful. A tip on the parking it is conveniently located […] across Queen St just steps from the Courtyard entrance. Even if you get there before check in park in that structure; then walk half a block to King St and catch the Green Trolley the driver will give you a map with a time schedule for all three lines of the Trolley which is a free service. This will take you in a circle right back to the same stop you got on. It also takes you to the visitor center where you can plan your day(s). With this service there is no need to get back into your car until you leave the Historic Area; you can either walk or move on the Trolley. "What a fantastic hotel"
Although billed as a bed and breakfast, it's more like a hotel with free breakfast delivered to your room each morning (which was fine with us). Absolutely beautiful rooms, fantastic location, they let us check in early, they have free bike rentals, wine and cheese in the evenings (complimentary!), and a really helpful staff. We had a great stay. My […] only complaint was the lack of closet space (they had a small armoire, but my girlfriend and I were in the middle of a 10 day trip and needed a little more room for our stuff) and no refrigerator. With all the amazing food in the area, you're likely to have leftovers, and it would be fantastic to have somewhere to keep them. Loved it. Highly recommended. Читати далі

"A Lovely Charleston Stay"
The Elliott House Inn was the perfect place for a last minute holiday getaway. The service was friendly and the room was well appointed and ideally situated in town.
"Perfect Location, with a few stipulations"
Positives- This was a perfect hotel for us, right next to Husk (best new restaurant in US), and at the corner of Queen and King Streets, prime spot in Charleston. The decor was beautiful, good sized well designed bathroom, very historic feel. Potential Negatives- These things didn't bother us, but if you are like the majority of folks who review hotels, […] these may bother you- Loud!- Being next to Husk means music and talking until about midnight. Requesting a room further in the back of the hotel may alleviate this. Small Room- For the price however, this would be expected. This room was substantially cheaper than any other in the historic district No Parking!- at the hotel, however, the city parking garage is right across the street, which really couldn't be anymore convenient, just factor in $20 a day to your hotel rate for using the garage. This is our new Charleston hotel, we probably won't stay anywhere else until we move up into the next tax bracket... Читати далі
