Welcome Piram Hotel - Рим

Near Termini Metro stop means it's very good for Metro use, the hotel seems to have had some recent refurbishment as our 3 rooms were very clean, new bathrooms and recently painted. The staff were very friendly (always helps if you can speak a few words of Italian) and helped us by printing off my Vatican museum pass.

The hotel is near Termini.It is very close to the Republic square, which is where all the fun begins. The area is safe. Bear in mind that you can reach Termini by a taxi for about 10 EUR from most of the central sites of Rome, so you do not actually have to live right by the Termini station. If you book an economy room, you have to know that it has […] no closet, not a single hanger to hang your shirt or unpack you bag. NoT even a tiny desk for laptop / work. Rooms are clean, The internet signal is poor in some rooms and acceptable in others. While the hotel has two elevators, one traditional and one modern, you still have to drag you bags up stairs to reach the elevators. And the hotel is horrible for guests with accessibility needs or families with younger children. And if you arrive a bit early than 2pm check-in time, there is no way they will let you check in early, even if they have lots of rooms vacant and even if you are staying for two weeks. On the positive side, they will store your luggage for free (as pretty much every other hotel in Italy). So to cut it short, I would recommend avoiding this hotel if you have a chance to book a better 3-star hotel in Termini area (north-west of Termini) or any place better, like Trevi Fountain or Spanish Steps (Spagna). I have even seen a hotel directly by Pantheon that does not have a start rating and is much better than this hotel. But if you have not choice, than I guess this hotel is ok for a short stay and a place to sleep. Читати далі

The room & location were very good. Breakfast was a shambles. Any one or all of the following were missing at any one time. Scrambled eggs, bacon, cutlery, glasses, croissants and staff. Did not let it spoil our holiday. :) :)

We got a great deal on the hotel using hotels.com. Their regular rate was rediciulously high, but for what we paid it was unbeatable. Very trendy clean hotel, with high ceilings. Awesome location near terminal station and walking distance to everything you need to see.

The Hotel was in the perfect spot to explore Rome. The only problem was we had requested twin rooms and they were all set up as doubles. We were given sheets to convert 4 rooms but two rooms could not be converted due to the type of bed.

Do not get the suite on 6th floor, it is basically an attic. Ventilation does not work in toilet. No body lotion, conditioner, no closet. Cleanliness and location ok. No smiles from the staff at all. Great location, everything in Rome within walking distance and If not a fan of walking its about 45 second walk to the metro station which can transport you around Rome. Staff were friendly and hotel was clean, would consider stopping here again in the future

Reported the broken shower screen to reception on first day but not repaired. Toilet roll holder kept pulling out of the wall. Ordered breakfast box to take away on last day but they forgot. At times, staff were very rude and did not want to help with some of the problems with the room temperature and faulty door lock. The shower was also temperamental As it kept changing from hot and cold without any adjustment to the shower tap.

We went to Rome to celebrate our anniversary and I can safely say that this was the worst possible hotel where we could celebrate. The location is great. All attractions are closeby. But the hotel staff and service is bad. Upon arrival, we were not greeted but grunted at the reception. The room was small and nothing like the pictures on the website. […] There is no wifi in the rooms as advertised. We were told that there is a cable that you need to plug into your laptop! Who carries laptops these days? Its tablets and phones. The reception told us that wifi is only available at the restaurant/bar. We tried having dinner there one night - there was no wifi. When asked at the reception they said it works only in the breakfast room!!! The service at the restaurant was even worse. We had to go to the waitress to order dinner and drinks as she was the only staff working. Imagine getting up each time you wish to order a course. And the worst was this guy banging away at his keyboard croaking songs from the 80's! Breakfast each day was awaiting game - when will the staff ask us for coffee and tea. the hotel is conveniently located close to the Termini train station, with easy access to all historical sites, by bus, subway or even on foot. all the staff members were friendly and helpful, the room was small but comfortable, well decorated, the internet connection is good in the room with an ethernet cable but no wifi, ( the wifi is available in […] the hotel lobby), the process to log in with the wifi or ethernet connection is confusing and cumbersome, and could be improved, it was free according to expedia but the staff wanted to charge 3 euros /day, they did cancel the charge upon my request. the room safe is big enough for a small laptop or Ipads the breakast buffet was good, not the greatest I had during my stay in Italy but adequate anyway, overall for the price we paid ( in February, < $100 /day with tax just before the Italian parlementary elections) it definitely was a good value and we will use this hotel again for future trips. also the hotel ( like others in Rome) charges a city tax on top of the taxes already paid with expedia, collected at the end of our stay Читати далі

The sink and tub is broken when arrived the hotel. Notice the reception and hey fixed the sink next day. The bathroom was always cold so that I must take a shower in 5 mins. Otherwise I might catch a cold. Floor and tub is dirty in some area. So never use the tub. Location is good. Servie is average and breakfast is OK.

Great location, rooms are nice enough but provided 2 bottles of shower gel and no shampoo - later found that other rooms did have shampoo. Breakfast is ok, plenty of croissants, cake, yoghurt & juice but in terms of hot food only bacon & scrambled egg offered. For the price this is good hotel but avoid the hotel restaurant at all costs - on our arrival […] to check-in they offered us a free meal (not including drinks or dessert) but they completely messed up our order and when the food arrived it was cold, very small portions, and different people got food at different times. The location of the hotel as fantastic but as there are many hotels I wouldn't chose this one again. There was nothing wrong with it per se, but it is a very basic hotel so it depends what you want your trip in Rome to be, if you want some where just to sleep this is fine. The bathrooms were a wet room that were not overly clean as there was mildew […] around the window and in the grouting but did provide you with toiletries. The bedroom was minimal there was no wardrobe just a rail which didn't give enough room to hang clothes and the chest of drawers was not usable unless you wanted all your clothes snagged. The included breakfast was ok but there was never enough cutlery so had to wait for that, We were given a free meal voucher and drinks token for bar but with so many other nice restaurants and bars around we did not use them as the aesthetics of the place were not that appealing for a romantic environment. Again best word to describe this hotel is basic, but as we were never really there it was ok for us. this is a charming hoptel with period features and is just a short walk from the Termini Station. Stayed at the Welcome Piram Hotel in Rome over new year's. This hotel is conveniently located for walking trips to downtown Rome. It is also close to the Metro, Bus and Rail. It is an old building, fairly kept and very clean. Our room was small with a no so comfortable bed and a newly added bathroom that took space from it. It is quite Ok for spending […] the entire day visiting sites and sleeping at night, but if you want to stay and watch TV or work, it may be difficult. The TV has a very limited selection and the internet access is only with a wire. The included breakfast had a very limited selection of real food. Lots of sweets and lukewarm eggs, bacon and pancakes. It is Ok as a "free" breakfast but not more than that. Service overall was very good, the people at the front desk were always friendly and in some cases had limited English, but not bad enough to prevent you from doing anything. Another couple of tips: If you arrive by air, you can take a bus or train to Termini Station, from there to the hotel is just two blocks and you do not need a taxi or anything else. Taking the bus back (if leaving early for the airport# or the train #if later) would save you a bundle as the taxis or car service to the airport are very expensive. As with everything in Rome, take care of yourself and be aware of your surroundings. We were warned about it at all times but we felt safe and had no incidents during our week there. Читати далі

The hotel is conveniently located close to Termini station, but it's not a 4-star hotel. Also, if you value internet connection beware that their advertised "free wi-fi" is very slow and free for only for 30 minutes per day, you'll have to pay if you need more... this was a bummer.

We had chosen to reserve our four night stay at the Welcome Piram Hotel because it is located within two blocks of the train and bus station service, the elevator which is an absolute necessary and the publicized hotel four stars rating. The staff was all friendly and the English breakfast was well worth getting.

If this a 4 star hotel I'm the queen of Sheba! The staff were very friendly & helpful. They all spoke good English. The breakfast was o.k. The best thing about this hotel is it's position. It is a 2 minute walk from the bus/metro/tram station.

Pros- Good value and close proximity to the metro station and walking distance to most tourist attractions, staff friendly and helpful. Plus voucher given at reception for two free drink and 15 euro off a meal in the hotel, which was a nice bonus. The bedroom was well presented, clean and spacious, we where lucky enough to have a corner room with two […] large windows and the high ceiling which gave the illusion of much larger room. Cons-Recieved a 20 euro gift voucher with the booking for use in the spa, the spa voucher was only redeemable Mon-Fri. This wasnt made clear during check-in and couldnt be claimed. The hotel also advertised rooftop facilities i.e bar & hot-tubs, however on asking at reception we where told it was closed at "this time of year". Also there was no wifi within the rooms, only in the reception. Would recommend the Welcome Piram for a budget driven holiday but if your budget can stretch and your looking for a hotel in the same location the Boscolo Exedra Roma which was 2mins walk from our location looked fantastic. Close to termini station and about 15 mins walking distance to piazza navona.. We killed a bug one night in the room.. So if you are sensitive about that stuff you may want to consider other options. And also there are no carpets in rooms..

Lobby is nice but slips from there. Put us on the alley and we heard breaking bottles and local restaurant clean up much of the night and then trucks and carts reprovisioning early.
