The downtown area also encompasses East Perth, a former industrial zone now converted to residential streets, and Northbridge, a restaurant and nightlife hotspot that is also home to Perth's Cultural Centre.

"Handy Location"
The hotel is situated on one of the main streets and is a good location, an easy walk, to bus routes, shops, pubs, etc. Very helpful staff and a tidy room (a little dated) but comfortable. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and had a great time in Perth - a wonderful city.
"Not as Adverised"
The hotel was very nice for the cost. Our only objection was that there was NO WI FI. It was advertised that there was free WI FI which is why I picked this hotel over others. They didn't even know what WI FI was. They had a computer with broadband in the lobby area for people to use (at a charge), but is was broken. didnt have 24 hour cooking there or room service so when i got there i was hungry and had to go for a long walk to get food and over my 2 nights had to wait for kitchen to open couldnt relax at al

"Nice low cost hotel"
It is about 15 minits walk from the CBD but there are free buses every 10 minits from the next street. Hotel is basic but comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly.
"The Perth Ambassador - handy but 'tired'"
A great spot with very helpful staff - but facilities that haven't seen any refurbishing since the 1980's. Warm, clean and well air conditioned; but aesthetically very forgettable. So it depends what you want!
"Comletely unacceptable"
Hi ceiling rooms, bare walls, 1950's Australian style, very very tired. Staff miserable, argumentative, un-attentive, cold. Manageress-lovely, she sorted most of the problems but too many to mention. Air-conditioning was not working in the room, one of the lights was permanently on, the shower was temperamental scalding hot to freezing cold without […] touching the taps. "NO HEATER IN THE ROOM ."
If you enjoy sleep in the temperature say about 18c then i think this hotel is ok for you ..otherwise is not possible . no protable heater provided upon request , no wifi in the hotel , and car park have to pay $12 a day ..in and out each time have to pay $4 for less then 4 hours or $12 ..more then 4 hours . hotel staffs are freindly and excellent […] .. "Convenient"
Great location about 5 minutes walk into city centre and right beside free tourist bus! Hotel needs refurbishment but rooms clean and comfortable so I would definitely recommend to others
"Perth Ambassador - very worn down..."
- The hotel is very worn down. - The heating system could not heat so the nights were very cold and resulted in a cold. - We were woken up every night at 4 am because of construction noise outside.

We stayed two nights at perth ambassador and whilst not the most up to date hotel room for the discount rate we paid it was well worth it. Parking good, good location and quiet.

"Closness of hotel to city"
The preview of distance to the city appears misleading, but, if the information of the City Cat bus free transport was included in the information, people would be flogging to book in. As expected the hotel was very much 'you (just) get what you pay for'. Its tired and desperately in need of som tlc if it is to continue competing anywhere except at the middle/lower end of the market. That said, it served a purpose and the staff were very friendly and helpful,. Restaurant menu was limited but the food was good and well presented

Hotel is in the main Perth CBD, so relatively convenient for business travellers. Although the lobby, restaurant and function area have been refurbished, the rooms are a bit tired and need something of an upgrade. Room facilities are basic and clean, but no special comforts. Ironing board was in need of replacing and iron was dirty - disappointing. […] Restaurant was very good - plentiful breakfast buffet options and evening menu, although limited, provided excellent quality and value. For the rate paid, I don't think it provides especially good value for money, but it is in the cheaper range of CBD hotels, so don't expect too much. "Perth Ambassador Hotel, centraal en rustig gelegen"
Een beetje verouderd maar toch nog steeds zeer comfortabel en vooral geluidsdicht! Alleen de internetconnectie was niet draadloos - je moest een kabel bij de receptie oppikken en ik slaagde er niet in connectie te leggen. Jammer, had dit hotel gekozen omwille van de beschikbaarheid van internet in het hele hotel!

시드니와 퍼스에 묵었는데 시드니는 거의 모텔수준과 여관수준의 객실에 비해 여기 호텔은 깔끔하고 아늑하고 좋았슴 한국인 직원도 있고 중심부에서 조금멀뿐 다 만족스러웠음 깨끗하고 매일 청소도해주고

퍼스시내가 생각보다 작아서 위치상으로는 시내 한가운데 있다고 판단됩니다. 호텔방은 생각보다 작았지만 어차피 잠자러 간것이기때문에 그다지 큰 불편감은 없었습니다. 인터넷을 공짜로 이용할 수 있다는 것은 호주에서는 엄청 크나큰 혜택인 것 같습니다. 속도도 아주 느리지는 않고... 하지만 호텔투숙객에게도 주차비를 하루 1만 5천원 정도 받는 것은 너무하다는 생각이 들었습니다. 물론 퍼스 시내라는 특수성이 있기는 하지만 그래도 돈을 받다니... 호텔 주변에는 그다지 밤에 둘러 볼 것이 없었습니다. 물론 호주라는 나라가 밤에 볼 것이 그다지 없지만... 그냥 호주에서 비교적 편안한 가격에 하루 묵고 싶다면 괜찮은 정도. 큰 기대는 […] 안 하시는 것이 좋을 듯 싶네요. Hotels in Perth are not in good condition, in general. This hotel is not exceptional. The basin is shabby and the heater is quite inefficient. Although the internet is free, the low service overall does not justify the current rating, three stars.
"Very good survice, but terrible shuttle bus."
I stayed about 1 weeks in this hotel. Hotel's service is very good, and front desk clerk is kindness. When I leave for home, I went to Perth International Airport from this hotel. But hotel's shuttle bus service was one hour late. I almost missed the plane. If you'd like to go to the airport from this hotel, I really recommend that to use the taxi.
