"Unique B&B near Univ of Michigan"
This was a fascinating one night stay in a really interesting inn/B&B very near to UofMich's central campus. Unlike most B&B's, the hosts were extremely detached, with a fairly unwelcoming arrival. That said, we had a nicely upgraded room with fireplace, balcony and fabulous four-poster bed. The breakfast system was rather unusual with pre-ordering […] by guests and fixed seating times in a large dining room. We had the great good fortune of being seated at a table with charming, interesting, visiting scholars so the tasty-but-oddly served breakfast was a nice start to the day. "Vitosha Guest Haus review"
This was my 3rd stay at Vitosha, and I look forward to continuing to use it as home base when visiting Ann Arbor. The rooms are cozy, and the beds are comfortable. The Grand Room on the 2nd floor has a fireplace and balcony and is probably my favorite; very romantic. I had to leave early on my most recent visit, so they put a tray with a pot of coffee […] outside the door and packed a bag breakfast; this was much appreciated. I've eaten breakfast there on prior stays: great coffee and food. You need to ask for a hairdryer, and my shower had body wash but no shampoo; not a problem since I carry my own, but remember to ask. It has always been very quiet; it's far enough from student neighborhoods to keep that from being an issue. Parking is on the street; they provide a permit for the weekdays; on weekends, no permit is required; I've had no problems finding close parking. Читати далі
"Romantic weekend? Business traveler - not so grea"
Vitosha is a marvelous old house in a lovely neighborhood. The owner is kind and attentive, there's wifi throughout and the breakfast is quite marvelous with lots of choices. So that's the good part, and it really is good. But for a business traveler like me, this is not a great place to stay. The house seems to have a giant entrance hall that is being […] used for storage and the room I stayed in was also visually very busy and lacked a television to check weather and news. The breakfast was wonderful, but conforming to a scheduled seating time and then assigned table partner was not convenient. Parking is on-street in an area signed for 2 hour day parking.
