Podol Plaza Hotel - Київ

My stay was excellent!! The location is about 15 minute taxi ride ($7 US Dollars) from the Kiev night life, but there are nice restaurants close to the hotel.There is one grumpy lady who works there, but every one else is happy and helpful!!

The hotel is situated in a good part of Kiev, just 5 minutes in taxi from independence square. However prices for this trip are random and depends on the drivers conscience: be happy with overprice of 50 UAH, count on 100 UAH. Service at desk is correctly, although they could show some more enthusiasm. In contrast, the cleaning staff was more open and smiling, despite the language barrier. Breakfast is simple but OK. The location wasn't the best-- everything else was just fantastic! The staff was helpful in a way that I can't begin to explain. They literally saved us HOURS of time, not to mention frustration and $, dealing with train and airline tickets. The surrounding neighborhood reminded me of what western Europe must of have looked like just after the war. […] I never felt unsafe, but there are crumbling, empty buildings--sometimes just stone floors and a couple feet of walls, side by side with restored buildings housing fancy coffee or chocolate houses, shops, pubs, etc. There were two guards at all times on the street in front of the hotel, and once you enter it is very safe and well maintained. There is even a restaurant located in the inner courtyard, so you don't need to venture out after dark for dinner. The streets and sidewalks in the surrounding neighborhood are somewhat uneven-- (a word of warning should you happen to have one too many at the fantastic Irish pub up the block one night during your stay...) podol is the historic part of kiev centre about 20 min walk from kreshatik. its nicer in the summer than in the winter with many cafes situated nearby offering alfresco dining The staff at podol plaza are helpful but generally stay out of your way , which is nice if you value your privacy a bit more than others.

I had a King suite, which was very large and comfortable. Attractive rooms and hotel premises. The location is a little bit outside the city center, but in walking distance and there's a subway stop right outside the hotel. Highly recommended.

Very friendly staffs, good clean hotel, rooms and toilets. I am overall satisfied with the hotel. Breakfast is disappointing - not up to British standards.

I was quite happy with my stay. The staff were all professional and service oriented. The room was clean and a decent size. Breakfast was good. The hotel was clean and kept up and modern.

It is a nice hotel, in a good neighborhood. The service is ok, but the staff just help you with the basic. Good breakfast. And the venue is convenient, but you need to take taxi or metro to go to the center of the city (not far). Et svært bra hotel og hyggelig betjening i frokostrummet,men noe lite utvalg til frokost og det ble tomt for en del av maten og kaffe slik at en måtte vente på påfyll av dette.Utmerket rengjøring.

Hotellet ligger sentralt nær Metro. Vakre parker rundt. Det er også meget kort vei opp til Sophia katedralen og Hovedgaten. Ikke langt unna ligger hovedgaten i Podoldistriktet med masse gode restauranter.

Tutto decisamente soddisfacente, l'unica pecca è una colazione scarsa nella scelta

Hotellet håller hög klass vad gäller rummen och hotellet ligger bra till i rätt del av Podol. Tyvärr är frukosten under all kritik och matchar inte alls priset på hotellet och den övriga standarden.

Das Zimmer verdient ein besonderes Lob. Haus- und Lüftungstechnik entsprechen neuestem Standard. Keine Gerüche oder ähnliches. Der Frühstücksraum und die Aussenterrasse im Innenhof sind geschmackvoll und sehr angenehm. Die machen ein sehr gutes Omlett auf Bestellung! Die Leute an der Rezeption lächeln selten - dass ist aber nicht unüblich, sagte meine […] Reiseführerin. So sind sie eben erzogen. Die Umgebung ist gut für Ausflüge in die Stadt. Angeboten wurde 10%reduktion beim essen im eigenen restaurant gallery kellner wusste nichts davon wurde später bestätigt aber nicht vergütet schwach schade

great hotel which you can easily compare to other great hotels aorund the world. the room was very nice and the english speaking staff is professional and very helpful. the breakfast was a disappointment though, but there´s a great Café around the corner.

Service rapide et efficace, climatisation bruyante, locaux communs petits.
