It takes a 15 minute ride by bus from the nearest metro station to get to the hotel, which was definitely not a good choice for those who would stay in the downtown till late at night. However the hotel provides shuttle bus services, 10am from hotel to the city and 12am from the city back to the hotel , which was a pleasant and timely ride. The reception desk was helpful and the room was spacious.

"The worst nights in many years.."
It have been the worst night in several years... The hotel is very old and no comfort at all. Beds are hard like stones.. No warm water in the morning. And the water was red...Breakfast are poor with at least 3 days old bread. They gave me smoking room instead of no smoking, You have to pay wifi... I cannot recommend this hotel.

"Old 4Star-hotel - centrally located"
Perfect location near shopping, bars, restaurants and pedestrian zone. The hotel is a quit old (beds, furniture, bath) but thanks to the location I can still recoomend it.
"Too many cons"
The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good. But my room faced the street and the noise was very loud. The hotel staff were extremely loud as they went up and down the hallway every night. The bar clerks were terrible and did not speak very much English. Due to these reasons and combined with the noise, I would not recommend this hotel.

"Reducing its charm but not its prices"
The Budapest was for many years my favourite hotel for business visits to Moscow. When its prices increased unreasonably a couple of years ago, I started to use other hotels further from the city centre. I returned in October 2010 as I was able to obtain a decent rate and was curious to see how the establishment was fareing. I have to say that I was […] left feeling disappointed. It appears to me that the with the opening of the neighbouring sister Peter 1 hotel, the standards of the Budapest have slipped. The plus points: the staff are still helpful and welcoming. The negatives: high prices, fading decor and expensive-but-poor wi-fi. The location of the Budapest is convenient for the city centre (even Red Square is within walking distance for the average pedestrian) but the notorious Moscow traffic jams are making the hotel increasingly harder to reach by taxi. "Budapest in Moscow - Great value for the money"
Hotel itself is a quite old and some refurbishing would be more than welcome. However, staff was very usefull in assistance upon request, breakfast was great (except the waiters that started to clear away the tables half an hour before breakfast was closed...at that moment you do not fell very comfortable to stay and eat your breakfast nice and slowly) […] and finally excelent location and price in generally overpriced Moscow. The hotel Budapest was a conveniently located hotel, it was only about 10 mins walk to Red Square, and slightly less than that to the Bolshoi Theater. Inside the hotel was nicely kept and the room I had, a single on the fourth floor, was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was large and there was a wall air conditioner in the room. The pillow was really […] flat, but I didn't have a problem falling asleep after my long flight! The breakfast that was included with the room had a lot of variety (fruit, cold cuts, pastries, hot food, cereal, yogurt) and everyone at the hotel was nice and helpful, although some of the reception people spoke better English than others. The only thing that surprised me about the hotel was that it was located right next to a "Gentlemen's Club" which was a topless strip club! This made me a little concerned about the neighborhood, but I walked past the club around 10:30/11pm to get to the hotel and didn't have any problems or feel unsafe (there was a restaurant with sidewalk seating across from the club and I walked on that side of the street), so for my one night stay at the hotel, everything was fine. "hotel budapest moscow- satisfactory"
nestled between teats of two surrounding men's clubs of some higher order it is strategically well located. there is considerable noise from main street and evening events which subside however at later hours. double wooden windows not equipped with insulating glass were not equal to the task. room amenities all right and breakfast was very good. desk […] staff understood english all right and were helpful. We were extremely happy with the Budapest. The staff were friendly, efficient and had a decent understanding of English. Perhaps the best thing about the Budapest is its situation - no more than 12 minutes' walk from Red Square, in a quiet street. "Still a favourite hotel in Moscow and now with breakfast room"
II have stayed many times at the Budapest, but greatly increased rates over the last year or so had priced it out of consideration for recent trips. Having been able to find a reasonable rate via Hotels.com, I looked forward to returning here in August 2009. I always considered the Budapest an unrecognised jewel amongst high-priced alternatives in […] Moscow centre. I stay on business but its location makes it equally convenient for tourists. There are restaurants within walking distance (particularly in the direction of Tverskaya Street), whilst Red Square can be reached in 15-20 minutes. The only obstacle can be the one-way traffic jams around the small street on which the hotel is located, but the Metro station at Kuznetsky Most is conveniently near. The hotel is generally quiet and the atmosphere is relaxed. Service remains good at the hotel and the rooms (except singles) are spacious and comfortable. The hotel's small bar on the second floor is OK for a quick drink or snack, but not a place which makes you feel like openly welcome. Since my last visit a breakfast room has opened on the third floor. Previously, all breakfasts were taken in your room. The hot and cold fare now on offer is acceptable. In all, I have not changed my opinion that the Budapest is my favourite hotel in Moscow. I shall follow their pricing policy with interest for possible repeated returns. Читати далі
"볼쇼이 극장과 크래믈린이 가까운 호텔"
모스크바의 엄청난 숙박비에 위치가 좋고 저렴한 호텔을 찾고자 해서 인터넷으로 검색해보고 찾은 부다페스트호텔.. 위치는 주요관광지에서 멀지 않아서 좋았고 오랜 전통을 가진 호텔인것 같음.. 시설이 조금 노후되어 있음... 아침식사도 좋았음 모스크바의 가격대비 괜찮은 호텔임..

"Viel zu wenig für das Geld"
Um mit kurzen Worten zu sagen würde ich das Hotel nicht weiter empfehlen. Die Sanitäranlagen zu alt und eindeutig zu wenig Kompfort für das viele Geld. Nachts kann man kaum schlafen, weil die Böden des Hotels so gemacht sind, dass man jeden durch den Flur gehen hört. Schrecklich... Jedenfalls bin ich sicher, dass es da noch bessere Hotels gibt.

"Tout avait mal commencé"
Ma réservation précisait bien chambre non-fumeur, lits jumeaux. je suis tombé sur une chambre fumeur lit simple (un vrai cendrier). Bien entendu, la traduction en cyrillique lors de la réservation ne mentionnait pas la taille du lit. j'ai donc pu obtenir rapidement (dès le lendemain) une chambre non-fumeur. "Good location, outdated room"
The hotel is in a nice area of Moscow, not far from Red Square, Bolshoi, etc. The public areas are nice and the service is satisfactory. The room itself is outdated and the bed not very comfortable.
The general status of the hotel is overdated. Besides we did get the old rooms whilst I saw that there are also klevels with new rooms.

車でのアクセスは、周辺が一方通行でかつ平日は渋滞するので便利とは言えない。ただし地下鉄、バスといった公共交通機関を使いこなせる旅行者にとっては、これほど便利なロケーションはない。ボリショイ劇場、クズネツキー・モスト（歩行者天国）のいくつかのドラマ劇場には歩いて5分で行けます。

L'avantage indéniable de cet hotel est de se trouver en plein centre de Moscou avec des tarifs tout à fait abordables. En revanche l'ensemble est vétuste et les services très réduits (restauration par ex). Mais l'ensemble reste convenable (bon service ménager) si ce n'est le service des taxis A EVITER !!!!

Budapest Hotel, ligger super centralt i gå afstand til Kreml 0g den Rødeplads, i et meget roligt kvarter. På hotellet får man god morgen mad, det er dog lidt ærgeligt at baren var lukket under hele opholdet, for vi var 10 personer afsted. Vi kunne dog sidde i lobbyen, men den lukker kl. 23.00 Selve hotellet er ok, men møbler m.m. er meget slidte.. Men […] meget venlig service. Читати далі

Гостиница находится в самом центре г. Москвы, 10 минут и вы на Красной площади. Завтрак в гостинице хороший, персонал доброжелательный. Номер в отеле не шикарный, но полностью соответствовал моим ожиданиям и цене. так что я рекомендую этот отель всем, кто хочет остановиться в центре города и много не платить.

Very nice hotel sitiuated in the very heart of Moscow. I can only recommened this hotel - I had a very nice weekend there. Nice rooms (a little old fashioned) but nice and clean. Very nice and supportive personnel. Nice breakfast, fitness facilities, business center etc. I would chose this hotel any time again. If one little thing should be mentioned […] it was that a nightclub down the street played very loud music at night during the weekend which made it a little hard to sleep. 1. Lage: gleich oberhalb des Bolschojtheaters sehr zentral gelegen, in einer ruhigen(!) Seitenstraße 2. angenehme, große Zimmer 3. großes Bad mit Badewanne 4. reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet 5. leider kein Internetzugang enthalten - nur gegen relativ teure Stunden- bzw. 24-Std-Gebühr käuflich.

"Ubehageligt hårde senge"
Værelserne var flotte, men man kunne lige så godt have ligget på gulvet for sengene var hårde som sten. Morgenmaden var super med en kæmpe buffet. Receptionisterne var desværre i flere tilfælde ubehøvlede og uvillige til at hjælpe.

Fint hotel med god, central beliggenhed. Rumligt værelse med lille sofa arrangement og stort badeværelse med kar. Pænt og rent hele vejen igennem. Mulighed for at benytte indendørs pool og sauna hos hotellet ved siden af mod betaling. Intet at sætte en finger på!

Ville definitivt valgt dette hotellet igjen! Bare 10 minutter å gå til Den røde plass og andre severdigheter i Moskva. Masse restauranter, kafeer og shoppingmuligheter i gatene rundt hotellet! Budapest Hotel samarbeider med et femstjerners hotell rundt hjørnet, og man er hjertelig velkommen til å bruke deres svømmebasseng, treningsstudio etc. God frokost!
