Great location and excellent breakfast - Hotel staff courteous and greet you in traditional way - this is close to sacred mosque and relics of great significance of the glory of a great faith. Turkey is now on a strong footing and heading in the right direction, finally!

I am writing this email for the Westerners and Single woman’s perspectives only. I stayed in room 205 from April 4-8 /2012. This lovely boutique hotel was stunning to visit. The staff were prompt and courteous with booking my tours, meeting my room needs and overall very professional in customer service. My room was cleaned well each time. The location […] of the hotel is surrounded by other boutique hotels. This hotel is very personable and you are more than just another number due to the smaller size in nature. The popular spot is called Sultanament square and seconds to walk to that location. The Blue Mosque is very close and yes! you can hear the call for prayer but faintly from my room. If you had the windows wide open then yes, you would hear it. However, the call to prayer is not a small set up. It is rather loud intentionally. It reminds me of the town hall format where you need to inform the masses. The call to prayer begins at 0530, 0930, 1315 etc x 5 in a day. It does take time to get use to it for us westerners do not have the church bells and call to prayer, music, parities etc occur in Toronto past 0200 due to the public laws etc. This hotel has a bar type area and roof top for dinning. There is a small elevator or you can use the winding stairs if your room is on the 2nd or 3rd floor. They have free wifi in the rooms as well as a laptop station in the living area for all to use if needed. How did I get to this hotel? I took a taxis and it was 50 TLs. However returning to the airport ask the front desk they have a great shuttle service which cost 15TLs. I am not sure why the shuttle service from arrivals did not offer me a great price; they were charging me 70TLs hence why I took a taxi. stayed there for three nights. absolutely great location. blue mosque is three minutes away by foot. very clean rooms. breakfast bar is rich enough (quality could improve a bit). quite neighborhood. good value for the money.

This small hotel is located in the "old town" area of Istanbul and is only a few blocks away from some of the most important sights to see in Istanbul. Although the rooms are quite small, it comfortable with air conditioning etc. There is a Mosk just around the corner so expect to hear the "Call to Prayer" every morning around 6:00 am and numerous times […] during the balance of the day. THe staff are so helpful friendly and informative. The meals are very reasonably priced when compared to restaurants. Mali on reception let us use the office to book in on line for our flight and was always very pleasant and helpful with any information we needed.. Very clean and beautifully serviced. Would definitely return.
"Hotel Daphne Istanbul"
The hotel was on a quiet street close to all the sights in the city and public transportation. The rooftop terrace had a beautiful view and the staff was very helpful when we were making reservations at another restaurant. Unfortunately, the service to get some drinks on the terrace was extremely slow.
