"Prospector in Park City was great!"
Really nice hotel! I was really impressed with the room that we got. This may sound strange but I was so happy they had a DVD player in the room. Not very many hotels have that. The check out time was a little early, but if you ask they can change it with no problems. Overall very satisfied and will be staying there again.
"Ghetto Park City"
If there is such a thing as a ghetto in Park City this is about it. The hotel is not really a hotel. It is a long term condo rental type place and most of the dwellers appear to be transiants. Would not recommend this place even on a budget. Either go to a better hotel in PC or dont go at all.
"Great for the price"
Good room, accommodating staff. The only problem was the hot tub was broken.

Wanted a nice weekend away and this place was perfect. Very cozy and comfortable. Our room was excellent - the showers were clean, the beds were soft, and there was even an all-in-one washer/dryer. We needed a tad bit of help from maintenance getting the fireplace to work, but it was no big deal. The maintenance guy was very friendly and had it taken […] care of in a pinch. If you're looking for super-awesome WiFi, you might want to note that in my experience it wasn't very fast. It was worse than dial-up in the building I was in, so I ended up using my cell phone instead. I am not subtracting a star from my review mostly because WiFi wasn't that important to me - but I feel it is worth mentioning. The hotel is close to everything, especially the slopes. You can catch the ski bus from right outside the hotel, which is handy. All in all, it's a very nice and comfortable place to stay. It was also very clean and well kept. Читати далі
"Party Central"
The people around us partied until 5 a.m. The whole building is made out of 2 x 4's no concrete and it squeeks like a tree hut in the wind whenever anyone above you walks around. If you're unlucky enough to stay here be sure to request an upstairs room so you can torment the sorry souls below you.
"The Prospector Hotel in Park City"
If you need a cheap place and have no expectations then stay at the Prospector. The room was in disrepair when I arrived, one of the wall lights was lying on the ground, and the airconditioner cover had also fallen off (this was fixed as soon as I reported it). The room was a little dusty in places, I found old chicken-bones behind the night-stand when […] I plugged in my charger. No one had vacuumed/cleaned under the beds in ages. There were no drawers for clothes (only hangers) so I had to live out of my suitcase for the week. The microwave was from the 80's and took about 10-minutes to heat a microwave meal. The fridge was so iced-over I couldn't fit an ice-tray into the freezer part. A good spring cleaning would have gone a long way in getting a positive review. "Not really like a hotel"
This place is more like a college dormatory and the service is similar. I also know for a fact that I paid way more for than others, so yeah, I'm not appy with it at all, but if I were spending a long time in Park City and could get it for a really good price, I'd have to give it another try.

"Smelly"
The desk clerk that evening was very nice. The room smelled, the faucets turned both directions, so they had to be placed at a certain point to turn the water off, the lamp had a burned out bulb, the blinds were broke, the TV was so small you had to set right in front of it, the remote didn't work, bedding was OLD and thread bare, no ice or vending […] machines in the "budget" priced buildings, the "kitchenette" was an old plastic shelf with a roll of paper towels, 1 coffee cup, 2 bowls, 3 saucers, a basket of silverware, and a water caraffe. The stairs were rickety, and the walls were so thin we could hear people outside yelling at each other. The website and photos are very misleading. The beds were ok comfortwise, and the pillows were fluffy. If you are just needing a place to sleep for a few hours, and then hit the road, maybe stay here, otherwise, avoid at all costs. Читати далі

"The Prospector"
Overall the hotel is impressive except for the shower, the shower handle control is not customer friendly because of it old design and complicated operation. l ended up not taking a shower until l got back to my house in California.

"Great Service, Awful Room"
The "Standard Hotel Room" looks NOTHING like the Hotels.com photos of The Prospector. I was expecting a nice, clean, comfortable lodge like room. Instead, these are personal condos rented out on daily/ weekly/ monthly rates. The carpet is rough (like outdoor carpeting at best), there were half-filled bath soap bottles and hair on the walls of the shower, […] the room felt like it was from thrift store furnishings and the plates and utensils had a nice layer of dust on them. A good place to stay in Park City. The price is right plus it is very convenient to the bus line. Just jump on any bus to downtown, or ski resort. "The Prospector in Park City, UT"
The room we had looked newly renovated and clean. Had a little kitchen but not enough space around it to do real cooking. Furnace was old and noisy that affected sleeping. Very close to PC and DV skiing resorts. Website said free access to nearby gym but not true. Overall still a good value.

The first room we were assigned was a disaster - it reeked of cigarette smoke! (Even though it is supposed to be a non-smoking property.) They changed our room the next morning, and everything was great from that point forward. Units are individually owned, so you may get a great one (517) or you may something less than you would expect (917).

My son and I stayed here and were satisfied. My wife would not have been happy here. The room was dark and old. The bathroom was extremely dated. The place smelled funny but we got used to that. It felt like a nice, quaint mountain getaway inside of an unassuming exterior. Very friendly, accommodating staff and warm, welcoming lobby. The room we had felt like a little log cabin home inside of an otherwise sterile building. It was the perfect place for a no-frills mountain getaway where you just want a little privacy. "Convenience surely"
The Prospector is convenient, as any attendee of the film fest can attest. Front desk staff were on top of things. The initial online reservation had a bit of a mix-up but I was credited. Now, you do get what you pay for. The kitchenettes were aok, but the overall construction of the place was on the cheap side, witness the shower stalls and the walls, […] ceilings, floors. The Prospector is very old, very run-down and very dirty!! Also living there are permanent residents - families with lots of children - so lots of noise.

"pretty good place and value priced!"
For a quick ski weekend in a value priced property we found success at the Prospector. Rooms are well equipped with amenities and staff was very helpful and friendly. It's an older hotel and the hallway can throw you - a bit like a dormitory or apartment building, but once inside, it's pretty good. Clean +comfortable. We were out the majority of the […] time at the slopes or dining...The bus picks up right in front. and will take you into town or the slopes...In addition, you can walk to nearby restaurants which is a huge plus! "The Prospector... In major need of an overhaul"
My room did not look anything like the pictures on the web. It was old and musty smelling. Old couch fraying. Not mattress pad on the bed. Two foam pillows on a queen size bed. Very little lighting. It was not a pleasant experience.

It was great! The room was clean and comfortable. We didn't spend much time in the room, but the time we did was great. I was disappointed to find the hot tub and pool outside, but just personal preference.
"Prospector Square - Good Bargain"
The lodging is not 5 star, the bathrooms are small and the buildings are spread out a little. But, for the price it is excellent. If you want to spend twice as much, knock yourself out. We skied all day, then drove 5 minutes from the ski resort and checked in. Hot showers, dinner at a local steak house, and a warm nights' sleep in a very comfortable […] bed. With the rooms spread out it means parking is very close to your room. No-one leaves expensive ski equipment in their car, and lugging it through a giant hotel lobby and up an elevator sucks. We carried our gear about 60 ft and stored it in a locking closet next to our room. Perfect. We'll stay again, and we're local. Our house is less than an hours' drive from Park City. This hotel is affordable enough that it's worth staying overnight instead of driving back after a day of skiing. Читати далі
"Review of the Prospector Square Lodge"
This is a two-start hotel at best - it felt more like a college dorm than a three-star hotel or condo. Have to drive outside to another parking lot to get to the front desk, which had limited hours. the "fireplace" in our room was a little gas heater with an open flame, and was the only source of heat. The room constantly fluctuated from too hot to […] too cold. No restaurant, no common areas, no working pool or hot tub. "Great Hotel!"
Don't be fooled by the condition of the hallway. The inside of the room was gorgeous. The room had leather couches, hardwood floors, granite counters, a flatscreen television and a mini kitchen. Park City bus picks up right in front of the hotel and takes you to Main Street. Great value and location.
"Needs Improvement"
The room was large enough, but it really needed a deep cleaning. The fan above the bed was so dusty and dirty we were afraid to use it. And the walls had something spilt down them. The bathtub didn't drain very fast at all it filled up with water before your shower was done. "Kinda odd setup"
Everything was fine. Wanted to use the pool around 9pm. Pool Closes at 10pm. The gates to the pool were closed and locked with the pool covers on. Talked to the front desk. They opened up the pool area for us. Was a decent place, but have stayed at better places in Park City
"Vacaciones en diciembre"
Estuvimos en el Prospector. El hotel es muy sencillo, no hay gym, dificil dejar los skis. No ofrece desayuno hay que buscar restaurantes, hay pocos en la region. Lo bueno es que hemos reservado dos dias antes de salir y esto en temporada alta.

Fizemos uma reserva para um quarto com 4 pessoas e o quarto oferecido era para 2 pessoas e ficamos num desconforto total, com 2 pessoas dormindo no chão durante duas noites.
