We stayed at Talk of the Town for one night in order to accommodate mis-matched flight arrangements.We weren't expecting much from this airport hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was polite, considerate, and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, if slightly outdated. We were upgraded to a 1st floor poolside room because the hotel […] has no elevator and we have trouble with stairs. The sound of planes and jets is quite loud due to the close proximity of the airport, but bearable. The cable TV offerings were scant, but we weren't there to watch TV. The pool area was clean, spacious, and well-designed. No beach access. The bar/restaurant had decent meals & drinks at touristy prices, to be expected in the area. All-in-all, this hotel was a much better value than we were expecting considering the price and airport location, and I would recommend it for couples and families on a budget. Читати далі

The hotel is just old and needs major upgrading. It is too close to the airport and the noise is incessant. You can even see the planes landing and taking off as if you were standing on the runway!

The staff was friendly, very helpful arranging tours and taxis. The pool area was clean, the restaurant/bar area was clean and the people attentive. Friday they sent out memos telling us of the 6 hour Carnival parade for the next night, giving us wristbands to get back into the hotel. Good location with the beach just across the street.

The key to the room didn't work so they moved me to another one. The floor was a little dirty, the tv image was terrible and worst of all, the shower was broken. Not exactly what you want after a 14 hour trip... The scrambled eggs served at breakfast were probably the worst tasting eggs ever. We stayed here after arriving late on Thursday night by plane. We only expected a basic place to stay before we could check in our timeshare on Friday. We were pleasantly suprised. The room was fine, but we learned that a full breakfast was included the next morning. We ate on the patio by the beautiful pool and beautiful landscaping. Everthing about this hotel is below standard with the exception of the breakfast which was included and it's location. Since I visited Aruba for the Aruba beach jazz festival which was held just in front of the hotel, its location was ideal.

This is a 1943 two-story hotel that needs some upgrading, and they are working on it. My stay was comfortable once I got them to adjust the room temperature to my liking. However I had to live with an inconvenience that I could not self-dial local phone calls from my room. The procedure for all guests is to dial zero, give the number to the front desk […] operator, and let them dial to complete the call. I did not like it because I felt they could listen to my conversations. The in-room safe was smaller than I needed to put in my 10-inch PC. The room keys are old-fashioned metal keys. Arrived at 1:30 and had to wait until 4 to check in. Desk was courteous and tried to accomodate us by giving out free chairs at the beach across the street. Beach is a bit of a hike but the staff at the beach were attentive and we enjoyed the food. Unfortunately upon our return at 3:45 our room was still not ready and upon receiving our key we walked […] into a large space with two bedrooms and a kitchen/living room condo. The room was extremely dirty and when we requested the maid to return the management was accomodating. The maid cleaned the room again but there was still mold in the bathtub and ceiling and toilet was still not clean. We decided to call Expedia and they were able to change our reservation to another hotel. Upon leaving the hotel the taxi driver said "talk of the town" is the worst hotel in Aruba. Читати далі

The hotel was a little far away from most of the tourist action. I didn't mind this but it getting places a little expensive for those who didn't want to walk. Sadly, the food was terrible, the shrimps were fishy, the dishes were salty and the hotdogs disgusting. The decent food available was their garden salad. The free breakfast buffet was a little […] better but they only served 1 round of sausages and the meatballs were dry. I was also disappointed by their business center, which had no printer. I needed to print some documents and was counting on being able to do it there. I don't think they should advertise a business center if they don't have a printer. At least the premises looked fairly nice, the pool was well maintained and the eating area had a pleasing, if old-looking decor. stayed in a two bedroom apt. the paint was falling off the wall and the dishes were not clean from the prior guest. stayed in room 401 and the other two bedroom apt. 1- There was no one available to bring my luggage to and from my room. 2- The breakfast buffet was always missing bread or coffee or another day it would be missing the scrambeled eggs and juice. Food was terrible. 3- There was just one main entrance to the hotel that was always blocked by the hotel's owned car so we had to park on the street. And the […] day we left the hotel we had to carry our luggage all the way out there. 4- There was no private parking area for guests, so our rented car always remained on the streets. 5- The bedrooms were full of mosquitos. 6- The rain metal gutters on the floor of the hotel were rusted out with pieces of metal poking out. The Hotel was far away from all the buzz and all of the resorts. It's a sweet hotel but you need to take a taxi ($20 one way) for just about everything. All you see all your window is the airport and the highway.

The act of being curtious in something one would think is part of making guests feel welcome and comfortable. This is not the case at the Talk Of The Town hotel in Aruba. The evil attitudes of each front desk employee was apparent from the first day. As far as the room was concerned... it was nice however the pillows on bed need changing. The three pillows were wilted, hard and needed updating to new pillows. If your purpose is business, this is a nice basic clean hotel. If you want to be "on" rather than "close" to the beach, go for the larger chain hotels on the western side of the island.

Convenient location to the airport. Breakfast buffet is good. It's good for a short business trip. The rooms aren't very clean. Go to Nikky's across the street for dinner! Overall, it's ok but is overpriced.

The Talk of the Town hotel had a nice pool, and the beach was just across the street. Many of the people staying there seemed to be repeat customers, so it seemed very comfortable. There's a great restaurant within a 2 minute walk (Pincho's), and a 10 minute walk to the shopping near the piers where the cruise ships come in. This is perfect as an inexpensive option - clean and affordable. Great option for the younger crowd that can't justify the resort pricing. The hotel was on a very busy roundabout. The airconditioner was very old and barely kept the room cool. There where remodeling in the middle of the night. I will not stay there again. I have three more trips there.

Okay, the 80's interior of the rooms is outdated; the ice cold airconditioning (which cannot be switched off) makes you want to get under your blanket or out as soon as possible and the breakfast buffet is nothing much. Hotellet var helt okej att stanna en natt eller två. Rummen hade det mest väsentliga, dock fungerade toan lite si sådär. Fin pool och poolområde, hade dock kunnat städats bättre.

Realmente nos encanta este hotel por varias cosas: su ubicación, la calidad del servicio que ofrecen a los huéspedes. Lamentablemente la piscina estaba en remodelación cuando fuimos, pero esto fue compensado con unos tickets para ir a Nicky Beach Club que está justo al frente.
