enjoyed almost everything but two day stay and did not clean other than kitchen and did not replenish towels or make up beds. as this is considered a four star i felt this was a bit negligent. i ended up using one day old wet towel. not even sure if it was mine. the only other complaint was the cover on the fold out couch was dirty. i was in an accident […] on the way there and still in shock so preoccupied and did not complain to the front desk. staff very friendly. Just be prepared that when you step out of the elevator on your floor, you will be outside walking alongside a roof full of venting ducts. Quite tacky really. The room was beautiful and very large. Nice to have a full kitchen with all the amenities. Check-in was very quick. The staff are really friendly.

The bathroom walls were disgusting - stained and scuffed up with chipped paint. The room was way too hot - we kept turning the temperature down during the night but it would heat right back up. Other than those two things, the hotel was fairly good.

My first stay was in a one-bedroom and it was perfect. It was a full condo suite and faced the ocean. A recent stay was in a view studio. It was a lot smaller and the view was only from the extrreme end of the room, out the side, mostly obscured by the remainder of the building. The hotel was really nice. We both did not really find the bed that comfortable and when trying to get help from the hotel staff, they did not seem eager to help. But the room was clean and nice and the view was good.

Fabulous Hotel. The location is superb, the restaurant although a tad expensive was 4 star, maybe 5. The staff is wonderful. The Ritz, Four Seasons and many other 5* hotels should have such good staff. Can't wait to return with my wife. You have to have a room facing the ocean Nothing else will do.

We stayed a week in Jan. in the west wing. You had to go outside to the elevators and then to the pool. That was a little inconvenient. We had an ocean view room and watched "stuff" on and in the water from our balconey.Underground parking was nice. Overall , we enjoyed our stay

Good value for the price we were able to get through hotels.com. Only stayed for one night arriving at dusk and leaving early in the AM. The hotel is situated on a the bay with a beautiful sandy beach in an area known as Oceanside. We are very familiar with the area. It's a very popular summer destination. Absolutely wonderful, took my husband there for a surprise night for his upcoming 50th birthday. Had friends join us for dinner in the restaurant, surprise again, and everything went as planned. The waiter, Dave, was wonderful, food was great and couldn't have asked for more. Room was great, large king suite, which we used to entertaining our guests […] after dinner. We attended a New Year's Eve party at the hotel to bring in the 2012 year but I was very disappointed. We arrived for dinner to find out that it was reserved seating with part of the party we were with not on the list. There was no indication that the other 3 people in our party would not be at our table because we were placed somewhere else in the […] room. The buffet was cold by the time we got to eat. There was no busperson working the dining area so plates just piled up on the table. The ballroom as they called it, was very tiny and with a band playing it was packed in, they did the best they could with what they had but they should not of had it in that room. We got up after 3-4 hours sleep and left to go home(730am) This is a nice hotel when you first enter and the rooms are kept clean but for the price of the New year's tickets ($99) it was not worth it plus the cost of one of the cheaper rooms. Studio room large and well equipped, desk, free wireless Internet, fridge, great selection of top-quality teas plus coffee, two queen beds, outdoor deck and great view, (even "resort view" very nice!) We planned a 2 day getaway combined with some business we had in Nanaimo. We were aware that Nanaimo is a 20 minute drive away, and were fine with that. The hotel is lovely, we were in the basic room which was a bit tight, a King bed instead of 2 Queens would have been preferred, but the deck is lovely and large. We ate all meals in their restaurant […] which is awesome. The special "dine for $29" was a great deal and we added the wine pairing for the additional $20.00 - I really recommend this. At the end of the stay, I wondered why this wasn't rated a 5 star hotel. I was very comfortable, very relaxed. We were glad that we didn't have to be rushed to depart; we had an arrangement that we didn't have to leave until 12. Unfortunately, the person who took note of our request didn't write it down and we got a phone call at around 11. The staff […] were very understanding, and things were easily taken care of. The beds were really comfortable. The movies we could choose to watch were many, although I must say the audio was not as clear as we would like -- it was still good. Our room and large balcony looked out over the bay and boardwalk. Lovely location in an otherwise underwhelming area.

As with every good review, there is not much to say! The hotel was beautiful, staff were friendly and attentive. I only stayed for one night, so my interactions with staff were limited, but I loved it! No complaints! Worth every penny!

Nothing super fancy. Was expecting more of a hotel/resort then a motel style. I think it was getting all the good reviews because it's new. You can already tell that in a year or two it's going to get run down very quickly. Staff was very friendly, restaurant was okay but VERY slow service at breakfast.

We had an amazing view of the ocean from our balcony. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent food in the restaurant.

The Beach Club Resort is a great place to take kids. Not only is there an expansive sandy beach to search for crabs or other sea creatures, an amazing public park is only a few minutes walk away. The park has a multitude of playground equipment for all ages, and a water park that is sure to keep the kids occupied for many happy hours. There is ample […] other kid activities in the surrounding area, such as the little Qualicum Cheese Factory - which was great for little tykes and mini golf, bumper cars etc. The tiny town of Parksville is an easy 5 minute walk from the hotel - but it does lack much other than food and drug stores. Although we did find a great British candy shop just across the street from the hotel. The hotel has a great pool and decent food, but not a whole bunch more. The TVs are tiny and bathroom was small as well. Not that we spent much time in the room. Nice big deck on the room, much bigger than most hotels. Service was adequate. No gift shop to speak of. They did have a bit of a spa, but we didn't get a chance to use it. Our grandkids had a great time - that is what was most important - they are age 6 and 4. booked with hotel.com had been explained what the room would look like with one of the queen beds being around a corner as we had contemplated bringing along a sickly elderly relative. Also hotel.com put in a request for an upgrade as this was to celebrate a special birthday. The elderly relative was too sickly so it was just hubby and me. We were given […] a room with 2 queen beds side by side -and an upgrade was refused -they claimed there was no request.. The room is OK- the view of the ocean is fabulous. I was disappointed as I thought we were getting something special. I expressed these feelings to the front desk and was give complimentary breakfast for two. Great place and value but price probably reduced due to low bookings. Possibly business is down in the area. A few minor things but nothing to complain about.

It doesn't get much better. The lounge is relaxing with a perfect view, staff are relaxed yet professional and accommodations are comfortable, even the standard rooms have a little kichenette.

The Beach Club Resort met and exceeded our expectations throughout. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, beautifully kept rooms, easy, accessible parking and great, central location adjacent to miles of sandy beach!

Backed by distant snow covered mountains, this hote'ls location on the peacefull seaside boardwalk leaves the bustleof the town far behind.

Our room was nice but a little cramped. (2 queen beds with a small kitchenette) The bathroom was also on the small side. 4th floor gave us a nice view of the beach and part of the town. We flew to the island late on a Thursday night so felt we needed a pre-booked room for the night. Sounded great on the net. Arrived about 9:30 pm. This was my second stay here, and both times I have been too tired to go out for dinner. When I called down to order, it turns out I had an old menu in my room. The woman from the dining room brought me up a new one. She was very patient with my questions and changes when I ordered, and the food was excellent. I highly recommend the mussels! The room […] was clean, comfortable, and the only small glitch was the loud sound from the vent when the heat came on. We wanted a quick weekend getaway from Vancouver. Off season - very quiet. Big snowfall and ferry was quiet. Great lunch at Coombs, the VW museum is a great little diversion. Would have liked maid service but picked up coffee ourselves at the front desk. View of ocean is relaxing.

It was the perfect stopover for us after our friends wedding on Hornby island, to break up the journey back to vancouver city. The room was fantastic. We ordered room service for dinner and breakfast and the food was excellent.
