convenience to hockey arena, were able to pick up a bus to travel and leave the car behind when going to the mall and other areas.

Right next to Xcel center. Parking $14/day. Beds a bit stiff/hard but passable. Room clean. Will most likely stay again for next event at Xcel.

"Saint Paul Holiday Inn- Awesome experience!"
This immaculately clean and comfortable hotel is located within walking distance of many good restaurants, events, and bars. The indoor pool is a bit small, but very clean and well kept. The staff of the hotel are extremely helpful and really go out of their way to make sure your stay is a great one. I thought I booked a room with Queen Beds, but gotten double beds. The room temperture was very hard to control, it was to hot in the room.
"Cafe/Eatery Hours"
It would be better to have "Food Service" available - 'continental or cafe' BRFORE 7:30 A.M.!!!! After a "Long Hard Day" it would be great to have "Food Service" in a business/NO YOUNG CHILDREN yelling, etc!!!, area. This was at the attached Cafe/Bar/Lounge.

"Pleasantly surprised!"
We were very pleased with the location of this hotel to many of the downtown St. Paul areas. The room was very nice and clean. We were a little nervous about what kind of noise we may hear because of the number of young people staying there for a concert across the street but we were told they had extra securtiy and if we had any problem to call the […] front desk. Great location, nice rooms, great staff at the hotel and attached restaurant. Only downside, price. You pay for the location. If you're catching a game or concert at the Excel Energy Center and want to have some cocktails without worrying about driving and are willing to pay for that convenience - this is your place to stay.

"Very convenient location for my needs!"
I stayed at the Holiday Inn to take the bar exam at the St. Paul River Centre. The Inn location was very convenient, just around the corner. The Xcel Center was just a hop away as well. If you are like me and are not from the area, it is a relief to be downtown. The hotel staff was very friendly and helped make my stay for the bar exam much less stressful! […] The only "but" I would have to say about my stay was that the hallways were a bit noisy at times. I often heard loud carts being rolled around or the industrial vacuum at 8:30 at night. "Hardest bed ever"
had to checkout before our last night due to springs pokeing us in the bed.

This hotel was okay. Way too pricey for the cost. The toilet didn't flush well and the bed squeaked. Was right in the main traffic area, so a bit noisy when trying to sleep in. Hotel staff wasn't informative regarding area attractions, such as Mall of America, etc. Would not stay in this hotel again.

Enjoyed everything about the hotel, price, location, parking, services... but the drapes blocking out the light wouldn't close! A coworker in the other room had the same problem so it wasn't me! fix it and it's perfect.
"Room was not clean"
My room at the Holiday Inn in MN was gross. My sheets had brownish red spots on them, there was red goo on my blanket and the sink was dirty. Ewww. Even if I may have otherwise been comfortable, it was very difficult to get beyond the unclean nature of the room.

"Great value in downtown St. Paul Hotel"
This hotel is directly accross from the Excel Center and a very short walk to most downtown locations. There is an entrance to the SkyWay about a block away at Rice Park which i was able to use to get to work at the Wells Fargo Plaza the week i was there and avoid the rain. The staff at the hotel was very accomodating and the food at the Irish pub was […] way better than par for a hotel. There is also a very nice outside dining area at the pub which is rare for the area as well. While the lobby area and commons are a bit dated, the rooms were clean and the houskeeping was on track. The elevators are quite slow and a bit stuffy but tolerable. For the price and location I will keep this on my list when doing business in downtown St. Paul. Читати далі
The staff was friendly & helpful, the bed was comfortable & they provided a variety of pillows. They need to use fabric softener on their towelsm though, like so many other hotels!

We stayed here because our daughter's graduation was across the street, it is convenient. The rates were very high because there was a concert Sat. nite. There was a tick in our bed. Pillows were marginal. The real kicker was we had to sign an agreement that if security came to our room a second time, we would be evicted. The room was lovely and quiet. We did have trouble with the card lock on our door (had to try repeatedly before the door would open). The bathroom had a cheap toilet seat on the commode which slid around. What appeared to be a "grab bar" in the shower over the soap dish, actually was made of plastic and came off in my hand. This was a hazard.

The first room I was given had a heater that was not working. I was moved to the next room and all was well. The problem was handled very well, promptly.

We were very impressed with the hotel. The rooms were very clean and modern. The hotel staff was very pleasant and helpful. We will be staying here again the next time we visit St. Paul!!!! We recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Stay elsewhere"
All I need to say is bedbugs...after we woke up my whole body had bites all over it. It's still an old style Holiday Inn too so everything looks like it's falling apart. We will chose to stay elsewhere next time.

Convenient, comfy with free wifi and has smoking rooms. The Liffey is great. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Hotel rooms were small, furniture well used. All rooms had a smell - would not stay here again.
