Clean and friendly. Bed was a little squeeky and uncomfortable especially for two people. Bathroom was clean and bright with nice soap and washes. Breakfast was nice, but left you smelling like breakfast for the rest of the day. We had to change to get the grease/smoke smell off of us, but that didn't help my hair! It was our 48th wedding anniversary and we really enjoyed our overnight stay here. The breakfast was so good we did not eat anymore till the evening. Would definitely go again.

We travelled from Hong Kong and it's our first time in York. The hotel is within mins from taxi and walking distance. Once you get into the hotel you will feel like home already. The decoration and service are just lovely. The dining room (where you will have breakfast) are wonderful! It's a shame the owner was on vacation during our stay, but the helper […] (Alan and Kate) are perfect as well :) we felt the most welcome and Kate is a really good cook! Very welcoming and helpful. Very good rooms and excellent breakfasts in such an ideal position. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautifully maintained hotel. Surrounded by fine furniture and display cases. Felt like you were living in a different era. Excellent Breakfast. Would definitely stay again

23 St. Mary's B&B, located just a few minutes from the train station and main sights in York, had frilly decor, delicious food, and excellent service. Our 4-poster room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. My only quibble was the unreliable Wifi service.

Room well appointed. Breakfast very good indeed. Liek many in the area, has several flights of stairs, so if that might be a problem, check which room you are getting. Couldnt work out how to access Wifi, but to be fair, I didnt end up asking. Pleasant stay and would be happy to return.

The room was neat and very clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breaky in the morning was nice and well laid out with hot meals availablle. Having stayed at many hotels, it was nice to have a 'homey' feel. Would certainly stay here if I was traveling to York again. The owners were very nice. I heard that breakfast was wonderful here, but I had to leave early for the train and it didn't start until 8am. This is on a relatively quiet street and a good location--about a 10 to 15 minute walk to city centre and train station.

Julie and Chris are superb hosts with a beautifully furnished and decorated home. Our room was superior to many of the hotel rooms we had in a recent Insight tour - spotlessly clean, spacious and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and we were sorry to have only 1 night there.Highly recommended.

Veldig bra opphold! Rommet jeg fikk var av god hotell standard. Nytt, rent og nødvendige funksjoner. Litt lite rom, dersom man ønsker å tilbringe mer enn natten der. Veldig hyggelig vertskap. Frokost var både typisk engelsk, men også kornblandinger mm, for oss som er glad i det. Anbefales på det varmeste!

Probably the best B&B I've stayed in, and I've been to a few. Nicely situated only a few minutes walk from the river and the very heart of York, and about 10 minutes to the train station. Hyggeligt lille familiehotel med nogle fantastiske venlige og imødekommende værter. Man føler sig virkelig velkommen. Morgenmad er helt i top med alt efter ønske. Beliggendheden kan ikke være bedre. Der er 10 min gang til centrum af York. Er man selvkørende, som vi var, er der gode parkeringsforhold.

23セントメアリーズはヨークの城門の1つブーサム門を出て2-3分の所にあります。城壁内のホテルは高いでしようから、このくらいの近さでこの予算で考えるとベストなホテルです。周りはとても静かです。 日本のペンション風の宿でやや乙女チックな内装なので男性は少し戸惑うのでは...でも、オーナー夫妻は感じよく、チリ1つ無く完璧に清掃された客室で快適に過ごせる。自分はシングルなので狭めの部屋でシャワーオンリーでしたが、でもロンドンで泊ったシングルよりかなり広く、バスルームも近代的な感じで使いやすかった。チェックアウトされた隣室を覗いて見たが、窓つきの広いバスルーム付の部屋と、シングルベットのある小さな部屋がついたジュニアスイートタイプの部屋などがあり、2人で泊ればさらに広々快適なのではと思った。 朝食も […] 盛りだくさんで美味しかった。 特筆すべきは、WEBサイトで必ず客室の写真をチェックしますが、WEＢ掲載写真より実物のほうが（ずっと）良かったのはこの宿が初めてです！！ Читати далі

This guest house rates as one of the top 3 ever experienced in England, (not only York) .... the level of comfort, service, friendliness, care and attention to detail was exceptionally high quality ... like staying with a well-to-do friend. It was also exceptionally good value. We shall definitely try to go there next time we visit York.

stadtnahe Lage, schönes, ruhiges Zimmer, freundliche Landlady, hervorragendes Früphstück - und sogar ein Parkplatz ohne Kosten hinter dem Haus.

23 St. Mary Guest House liegt in bequemer Nähe der Altstadt von York - das Münster ist in 7 Minuten zu Fuß gut zu erreichen, weitere Sehenswürdigkeiten entsprechend. Wer also die Altstadt zu Fuß "erobern" möchte, hat hier eine gute Ausgangsbasis mit kurzfristiger Rückzugsmögliichkeit - z.B. um zwischen 2 Unternehmungen auszuruhen. Das Haus - offensichtlich […] Familienbetrieb - ist ein den Bedürfnissen eines Guest House entsprechend ausgebautes Wohnhaus, steile Treppen, kein Lift.
