Named after the Hussite leader Jan Zizka, winner of a historic battle against invading forces in 1420, this is an eastern suburb. A huge equestrian statue commemorates Zizka on Vitkov Hill, where the Communist-era National Monument (1927–32) symbolizes the Czech struggle for independence. Franz Kafka and the anti-Communist martyr Jan Palach lie buried in the extensive Olsany Cemeteries.

The location is a short wak to Tram stops and a large grocery store (3blks). Area was quiet, room was clean/neat/warm. Bathroom had been recently upgraded and quite nice. 3rd floor up - no elevators. "OK at a pinch"
My room was in an annex around the corner - and on the 5th floor: attic room. There isn't a lift. This isn't necessarily a problem, but something to be aware of. It was a little annoying for me as I was given the wrong key for said 5th-floor, around-the-corner, room! The room was OK, but being an attic room headroom was low. Generally clean (hygienic) […] but needed dusting - suspect the cleaners avoided the areas with low headroom but that included the bedside tables! I wasn't able to watch TV as there were no remote controls for TV/satellite/digital box. Very possibly the remotes were available at reception, but as the rooms had no telephone it was not worth 10 flights of steps and the trip around the corner to find out! The location is OK - not a particularly bad area but not great either (mind, as far as I'm concerned Prague is one of the least attractive places in the Czech Republic, a country I'm very fond of!). It's about 15 minutes' walk from the main station, about the same from Masarykovo indeed - though when coming from the station you'd be better off taking a tram as it's uphill; indeed the tram is probably better anyway as if you're walking you have to cross from fairly ghastly highway engineering! So in short, if you have to be in Prague for just a night, it's just about OK if you don't mind the above. It wasn't dirty and they weren't unfriendly - but it has its downsides. Читати далі
Not a luxury hotel but when traveling to Prague, you're not going to stay in the room to hang out. We stayed on the top floor. No elevator and wife recently had knee surgery.

The room was nice and colorful. However, the light switch didn't work in the bathroom and the floor of the room was kinda nasty. They didn't really make our bed and didn't change our towels. the bed creaked really loud. And there was no elevator. The location was close from the station, a little bit of an up hill hike, but wasn't too bad of a walk. […] the neighborhood was nice, interesting architecture. "Pension Prague City Hotel"
Room was clean, beds were clean so that's good. The Wifi was not working for us as we couldn't even detect their network on the computers! We ended up having to tap into someoneelses wifi. Also, the staff at the reception were not very helpful. The TV, though provided, was small and you have to put a deposit for your keys and remote control. This place […] had fairly good location, about 1 tram stop away from the main train station and about 2-3 from Wescenlas square, the city centre. "Nice hotel and great service!"
The hotel was very comfortable. And the desk clerk was very friendly, and extremely helpful! A short walk to the train stop to get around the city - and about a 15 minute walk or so to get to Old Town. Not too bad for the very reasonable price!

Hotel rooms were good size and stay inside the hotel was pleasant unless I had to talk to the Receptionist who was extremely rude and unpleasant to talk to. On one incident when I reached the hotel at 10:30 pm, he had closed his cash till. I asked for the change for the euros into local currency. He became so furious that he furiously hammered his desk […] to show his irritation and did not provide me the local currency. Totally Unacceptable. Our rooms were on the 3rd floor and the hotel does not have a lift. We had to drag our luggage right upto the third floor without any assistance from the Hotel. "Ideal hotel for a base to get your head down"
Located about 15 minute walk away from Wenceslas square and a further 10 minute walk from the Old Town Square, we stayed in the hotels second lot of rooms situated 10 metres away around the corner. The room was long and narrow with 3 single beds, a small TV and digital freeview TV. The bathroom was superb. "Not great but ok"
The Old Town is about 15-20 min walk downhill. We stayed 2 nights. The room was not cleaned, beds made, towels changed etc. The mgr was like a Czech Basil Fawlty! He went on & on when we arrived, telling us to come back in 10 mins. It was more like 25 mins, so we got some cans from the supermarket opposite & waited outside. We checked in after having […] to fill in lots of details about ourselves, & providing £20 key deposit per room. The building wasn't locked at night, but this was fine as we only had 1 key per room & sometimes 1 person might go back to bed early, & have to leave the door to the room ajar so the other could get in. Upon leaving, a friend was accused of stealing a bottle of water from the fridge in reception by the mgr. It was pointed out that he'd bought it in the supermarket opposite. He said he saw him take it from his fridge. What actually happened was my friend looked at the water in his fridge, but decided it was too big, so bought 1 from the supermarket instead. The bottle was not even the same type as that in the hotel. He accepted this in the end. This same friend was in a room on his own, and after checking in on day 1, the mgr went into the room & tried to get my friend to move room, even though he was on a business call at the time on his mobile. Vi havde et godt ophold, min vi var sikre på at vi havde bestilt med morgenmad, og det var der ikke, og det sted hvor vi kunne indtage vores morgenmad, svarede ikke til de billeder der er i beskrivelsen, og vi havde ikke lyst til at indtage vores morgenmad der.

bortset fra fjernsynet på 2 af de 4 værelse ikke virkede og så det at vi havde 116 trin til 6 etage (ingen elevator)men hvad kunne den gamle mærsk klare trapperne til 6 så kunne vi vel også. nå ja så var der jo lige det at der ingen rengørring og skift af håndklæder var på de 3 overnatninger vi havde

Ren och fräscht när vi kom, men under fyra dagar byttes aldrig handdukarna. Säkringen gick om man satte på båda värmeelementen. Duschen saknade ibland varmvatten och hade lågt tryck. Sex våningar, ingen hiss. Receptionen hade dåliga öppettider. Området hotellet ligger i är ca 30 minuters promenad från centrum.
"Hotel til de fattige"
Fin PENSION. Det er ikke et rigtigt hotel! Ville gerne have brugt 1000kr mere for at bo på et firstjernet hotel - for det koster jo ikke så meget. Men gode senge! Vi var 2 personer, men fik et værelse med 7 sovepladser. TV'et er mini! Bad er ok. Der er ikke shampoo.

"Pefekt för ett gäng killar"
Hotellet var perfekt för ett gäng på 4 killar som inte spenderade mycket tid på rummet mer än att sova. 4 sängar och en jättefräsch toa. Rummet var ganska varmt eftersom att solen stod på hela dagen, men en stor fläkt fanns där som gjorde stor nytta! Det enda negativa är frukosten som var riktigt ofräsch! "Rena och fräscha rum"
Förhållandevis lågt pris så man får vad man betalar för, relativt enkel standard men rena och fräscha rum. Funkade bra för vår familj som bara behövde hotellrummet för att sova på. Plus i kanten för wi-fi på rummen. Minus i kanten var väldigt klent tryck i duschen. Ingen hiss i huset, men det var inga problem för oss trots att vi bodde högst upp i […] huset. "sehr spartanisch, aber es reicht"
Das Einchecken war etwas chaotisch - wir mussten ziemlich lange warten bis endlich jemand Notiz von uns genommen hat. Für den Schlüssel ist eine Kaution von 10 € zu hinterlegen - auf Anfrage bekommt man eine kostenlose Straßenkarte. Das Zimmer war sehr klein, aber alles notwendige war vorhanden. Das Badezimmer bot nur Platz für 1 Person - Dusche und […] WC waren ok - das Waschbecken war etwas klein. Im Zimmer war auch ein Fernseher - allerdins war er links oben neben dem Kopfende des Bettes angebracht, sodass man sich ziemlich verdrehen musste um fernsehen zu können. Frühstück haben wir nicht gebucht - bucht man den Auftenhalt mit Frühstück so muss man dazu in ein Restaurant (ca. 100 m vom Hotel entfernt) gehen. Alles in allem ist das Hotel für einen kurzen Aufenthalt durchaus ausreichend - man sollte sich allerdings nicht zuviel Komfort erwarten. Читати далі

"Pension Prague City i Prague"
Hotellet var bra som ett övernattningsställe. Det fanns inget att göra på hotellet mer än att sova. Frukosten som hotellet ordnade var inte bra. Kvalitén varierade fråb dag till dag. Vi åt frukost/brunch ute på sta'n för det mesta. Vi tillbringade ingen tid på hotellet mer än för att sova. TV var liten och högt uppsatt och det fanns inga intressanta […] kanaler. Man kunde använda hotellets två datorer för att internetta men endast mellan 8 och 22. Däremot var den ena värden mycket underhållande - Prags Basil Fawlty. Så snart det var ett problem, eller inget problem för den delen, startade han en en mansshow. En kort fråga kunde leda till att man fastnade i en timme. Allt blev komplicerat när han tillfrågades. Det är skönt att det finns sådana människor som sprider glädje till andra. I korta drag - om ni skall besöka Prag och vara ute från morgon till sen kväll är detta hotell bra som övernattningsställe. "Das Hotel Pension Prague City ist nahe am Zentrum."
Es wahr nahe am Zentrum, direkt neben einem Polizeiposten. Es hatte heizung sowie eine klimaanlage. Das Zimmer war sehr klein ca. 15m2 für 3Personen. Zimmerservice gab es keinen, es wurde wärend 5 tagen nie das zimmer geputz oder bettengemacht, leider mussten wir auch kol-papier selbst kaufen. Die foto's waren etwas geflunkert, es war kleiner und etwas […] rustikaler. alles im ganzen wars in prag sehr schön und trotz diesen kleinen mengeln ein gelungener tripp ;) hotels.com war sehr zuverlässig. "Basic cheepnis"
Behöver du en billig säng i ett rum som är enkelt men faktiskt fräscht så är detta ett helt ok val. Vänlig personal, gratis WIFI (som dock inte fungerade i vårt rum som inte låg i samma hus som receptionen/resten av rummen). Förvånansvärt fräscht badrum. Kan absolut rekommendera, men förvänta dig inget fantastiskt.

"Pension Prague City"
Helt fin indkvartering det ligger meget centralt og i gå afstand til flere oplevelser servicen var i top og værelserne var helt i orden men der kunne gådt være en koge plade så man kunne lave kaffe/te om morgenen samt et lille køleskab. Ellers en helt okay oplevelse af Pension Prag City kan anbefale hvis man skal have en overnatning.

This was a very simple accomodation, hard beds, many stairs to walk, possible to park the car. Easy to go with tram to citycenter. If you are thinking of staying here, please be aware that you get what you are paying for. Staff was very helpful, and gave good information about Prague.

Jag reste med bil, så ett starkt skäl till att jag valde detta ställe är att de hade en låst parkeringsplats. Lågt pris och eget badrum är mina grundkriterier när jag bokar semesterboende, och de uppfylldes också. "As good as can be expected"
Given the price right at the bottom of Prague hotels I can only say that I was positively surprised. Rooms are not cleaned every day but I can live with that. Decent bathroom. Located 200m from a tram stop(route 5, 9, 26) that will take you right into down town Prague in 5-10min.
