Hotel Kossak - Краків

The hotel staff were very friendly and professional. We enjoyed the restaurants and bars enormously. The room was wonderful, spacious, clean and with a fantastic view over the river and castle. We could not fault anything with the hotel or the location and would definately love to stay again.

Our stay in krakow was very good,but the weather not so good the hotel is approx ten minute walk to the main square (rynek) krakow is well worth a visit and the people very nice and friendly

A charming hotel. Beautiful view from 7 th floor terrace of Wawel Castle. In between old town and Kazimiez -so short walking distance to both. very friendly staff. Suggestion-windows in room are locked -ask staff to unlock to get fresh air.

From arrival to departure staff were attentive and very friendly. The suite we occupied was spotless, well laid out and very comfortable ... we upgraded to the suite directly with the hotel after initial booking and would recommend this option with great views to the river and castle. Our party consisted of two middle aged couples.

Hotel Kossak was great!!! For the price paid, location and facilities it is highly worth it!!! Very pleased with my weekend stay. I requested for a room with a view of the castle and was lucky to get one - amazing view of the river and castle! Very central so lots of tours will pick up from there and I spent Sunday just wandering around with a map - […] super location! Right in the middle of the tourist attractions so it's easy to get around yourself. The room was superb. Spacious, clean and very well furnished. The sheets were great too!! Highly comfortable and great to catch up on rest after all that walking you'll be doing on tours!! Really awesome hotel for such a great price and would definitely recommend this to everyone!! The hotel is in a good position though it lacks any kerb appeal on arrival. After a fantastic trip to Krakow which is an amazing city, this hotel was the only let down for our party of 7, 5 of whom were staying at the hotel. On arrival late Saturday afternoon we went to the roof top bar to have cocktails whilst waiting for two of our party to join […] us. Having returned one drink and asking for it to be removed from the bar bill from a total order of at least 12 drinks due to its very poor quality, the waitress advised that she could not as she had closed the bar bill but would add a note to our bill. On checking out and further following this up with reception, we were advised that the drink would not be removed as it had been replaced! This was far from the case and on requesting to see the manager we were advised that no one having that responsibility was there. The cost was minimal but it was now a matter of principle to us, yet no member of staff was interested. On top of the above the rooms were small, very noisy, with traffic noise throughout the night as well as noise from late night revellers. It was as if a window was open! Breakfast was also disappointing. There are far too many fantastic hotels to stay in in Krakow such as the Unicus, to name but one, so please consider all before choosing The Kossak. Читати далі

Having been to Krakow three times before we had originally tried to get booked at Hotel Senacki where we had previously stayed. Unfortunately they only had one room left and we needed two (two couples travelling). Our search then brought up Hotel Kossak. It was a good price in a central location with very good reviews. We were not disappointed. We […] enjoyed our stay so much that we think we prefer this to the Hotel Senacki. Although both are very good and we now know they are part of the same group. On arrival check in was friendly and efficient and when we arrived at our room we were very pleased with the set up. Smart rooms, not large but adequate size with good amenities. We had two single beds pushed together. This was fine although a double would have been nice. However they were very comfortable. Pillows are a bit strange, although comfortable, but this seems to be the norm across Krakow. Bathroom was very nicely done, very modern and clean. Not very big but had everything you needed. Very nice deep bath which was lovely to soak in after a cold day walking round. Good options for restaurants and bars in the hotel. We meant to use the restaurant on the 7th floor but with so many choices in the centre and close by we never got round to it. We enjoyed cocktails in the lobby bar and breakfast at the hotel and both were of a good standard. Would recommend having breakfast at the hotel. A good start to the day. A great hotel located 5 minutes walk from the castle, 15 minutes from the market square and well connected by buses and trams. The hotel is very modern, comfortable and serves a good breakfast. Beds were extremely comfortable and the bar has a happy hour every afternoon 4 - 6pm on cocktails.

Hotel was overall good, set near the river with a short walk to Wawel Castle and approx 10-15 min walk to Main Square (Rynek Glowny). Room was clean and tidy the only problem was it was far too hot. Even at this time of year we had to turn the heating off and one time tried having the air con on. I planned a three day break for my daughter and myself. after reading the reviews it sounded like a reasonable Hotel and a very reasonable price with a great location; easy walking to the old town. Google earth does not do the Hotel justice as it's outer appearance is misleading. It is an outstanding hotel; quality everywhere, contemporary, modern, […] friendly. We arrived early and it was not a problem, the staff not only allowed and facilitated an early check in but also ensured we had the best room available with a view over the castle. I simply cannot fault this hotel. If you are looking for a short break this is ideal, you can walk to the old town in 5 minutes, to Schindler’s factory and the Ghetto in about 15 minutes. hotel exceeded my expectations. Reception staff were very polite and helpful. Decor of room very modern and good quality furnishings, fittings and bed linen made this a very comfortable stay. View from room was fantastic with view of castle and river. Location was great. We stayed 3 nights and were most impressed. Don't be put off by the outer appearance (looks tiny and on the corner of a supermarket), this hotel is really smart inside. Very clean and modern, great breakfast and friendly staff. Staff arranged our taxi back to the airport but we arrived on the 292 bus (longer journey than the train but it was just about […] to depart so I think it worked out the same as shuttle and wait for train). Main square is just 10 mins away and you soon get your bearings. Orangerie restaurant on top floor gives great views and food, our 3 course meal and drinks cost £30. Our room didnt have a river/castle view but we didn't spent much time there so it wasn't a problem. If you are going to spend more time at the hotel I would suggest you pay extra for a view. we stayed on the 5th floor with a great view of nthe castle and the river .. if you can ask for one of these rooms because when we were using the lift with glass sides it loooks like some of the rooms have no view at all, even though the rooms are probably of the same standard.

Clean rooms but nothing special. A nice hotel but parking is terrible. The hotel says parking available, but, it is a pay lot in front of the hotel with very limited parking spaces. Nice boutique style hotel in very convenient location. Some rooms have a view of the river but all are nicely furnished. Happy hour at the bar is a must as is free coffee in the morning on the lovely roof terrace.

The hotel is popular for weddings. The roof terrace is frequently closed. Out of 4 nights it was closed twice on one occasion from 1.30 onwards. Since it is a lovely facility guests are restricted in their enjoyment of it

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Kossak very much. We had a first floor room with lovely views overlooking the river and castle. It only took us about 15 minutes to walk up to the old town and slightly less to the castle. This was not a problem for us. Although our room could have been bigger, it was clean and comfortable and had the views as above, […] rather than overlooking say a back ally or brick wall! There were also good views from the roof top cafe/restaurant. We were able to get a good night's sleep without being disturbed by any noise from either traffic etc outside or guests in other rooms. We were actually suprised to see so many people at breakfast as we were beginning to think that there couldn' be many staying at the hotel! We were particlarly pleased with the en-suite bathroom which seemed virtually "as new" and with quality fittings. We had no problems with any of the staff. They were always pleasant and helpful. There was a good choice of food at breakfast and which was found to be perfectly adequate. We wouldn't hesitate to stay at this hotel again and are quite happy to recommend it. The only reseervation we would have is that it might not suit people who are not very good on their feet in view of the distance from the old town. Читати далі

This is an excellent hotel and is ideally situated next to the castle and the river. It was only a 5-10 minute walk to the market square (past the castle). The hotel staff are friendly and are always willing to assist. The only slight draw back is the hotel bar, this is very small, but this is made up with an excellent rooftop bar and restaurant.

We went to the rooftop restaurant for a late dinner. Initially we were told that there was not a table available without a reservation. Prior to booking I read all available customer reviews and was hoping that the good ones would prove out. We got a great rate, so I was prepared to compromise. I'm pleased to say that all of us (in our group of 4) were pleasany surprised. Kossak is certainly not the largest or the fanciest hotel we ever stayed in, but it offers a 5 star experience. […] The staff was extremely helpful. At check-in, the front desk manager greeted us by name. The porter was quick and efficient. He was concerned that the car roof luggage container might not clear the garage entrance and offered to remove it and store it in the hotel for the duration of our stay. He then parked our car and delivered the luggage to our rooms without delay. The hotel itself is conveniently located within walking distance to the Old Town Square, Wawel and Jewish Ghetto. The front desk can arrange a variety of tours. Our room was comfortable and super clean. There is a lobby bar and two restaurants that serve superbly prepared food. Complimentary specialty coffees are offered from 10 to 11 am on the roof top terrace. Our package included free WI FI and breakfast. There is a computer in the lobby, so even if you don't travel with your own devices, you can take advantage of the free WI FI. The breakfast was delicious and offered something for everyone. Staff were friendly and reasonably helpful. Took a while to check in. Rooms were small and had twin beds that were not even zippered - not so great for couples.
