Convenient, nice boutique hotel

Small but well maintained hotel with modern decor. Convenient location right next to Shilin night market. Friendly staff!

Shi Lin night market is just downstair and it is in very near walking distance to the MRT station. The price is a bit expensive as the hotel is normal standard. Anyway, good choice especially for those who would like to explore the night market life at taipei.

Good Location . Hotel is near to Jiantan MRT station and close to Shilin Night Market. Room is spacious and clean.

The location of this hotel is very good as it is only 5 minutes walk away from the Jian Tang MRT station, and across the street from the Shi Lin Night Market. While it is not in the centre of town, it costs only around NT200 or less to take a taxi from the hotel to Taipei Central Train station or Ximending. By MRT, it costs only NT20 to get to Central […] Train Station or NT40 to Ximending or Danshui train station. The room and bathrooms are very spacious, and there is free wireless wi-fi in the room. The toilet even has a bidet which is quite rare in Taipei hotels. Even though we are just next to the night market, the walls are well sound proof and so we didn't have to worry about noise from the outside. Our only minor complaint is that the extra roll away bed is not comfortable at all as the mattress is so thin, you can feel the metal bar below when sleeping. The hotel should provide better roll away beds or change the sofa seat in the room to be a sofa bed with a thicker mattress. Service staff are friendly, helpful and efficient. Читати далі

This hotel with an odd name has offered a very pleasant on two stays there so far. It's right across from the Shilin night market and very close to the metro so it's easy to get anywhere and you have a lively area with good food just across the street. The staff are unspeakably gracious and helpful, and the rooms are very nice, even the smaller ones […] which I find perfectly laid out. Good color scheme, nice furnishings, nice bathrooms with good tubs. This last time we received an upgrade to the Noble Grandee room on the top floor with an outdoor terrace and lots of space in the room, and it was really nice. Conveniently located. Though there is no window in a standard room, it shuts off the noise from the busy street below. The room is well decorated and clean. The service is excellent, the breakfast is good.

that's a good hotel cos near the shihlin market and the mrt station! good!

This is only a small hotel with no fancy facilities but the location is great. It is right opposite to Shihlin Night Market and extremely close to MTR station. For me the big bonus is that it is close to my relatives home and friends workplace. I'll stay here again.

We stayed at the premium as it's price wasn't so different compared to lower grades, it didn't seem very premium but nevertheless we were pleased with the room offered. This is a really nice hotel right next to the Shilin Night Market, and also very close to the MRT. The rooms are big, and the bathrooms are also nice and spacious. The buffet breakfast options weren't extensive, but there was plenty of food to eat, and the staff was friendly. It's not very nice looking from the outside, but that's the same for all Taipei buildings (they all look old). However, the inside is very well maintained, and has a really upscale feel. Hotel location is just right across Shilin night market. Very convenient to go back to hotel for a rest after tiring walk around Shilin market. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. very convenience, just walk 1 minute to the night market.

Great location if you're not turned off by busy street scenes. Courteous staff, good rooms and great access to MRT.

Excellent hotel, very comfortable and clean, staff very friendly. Breakfast was varied and good, however the cafe for lunch or dinner was not great, there is no decent food outlet close to the hotel, so be prepared to go into the centre for some food. Very enjoyable stay, close and convient to the centre.

Good things: A very convenient hotel, a famous night market is right outside the front door. Very close to the subway station. Design is quite moderrn, room is clean, free wifi is a +. the hotel is small but a very nice place to stay. it has a modern touch to the whole hotel. the hotel is located across the street from tthe shilin night market which was huge. a great place to walk around and see the things they are selling there. the only complaint i had was that my blanket had a smell to it but that was taken care of by the hotel […] staff. Good location to night market and MRT. But at night too nosiy and bright from lamp.

Good/clean hotel in a really cool part of Taipei near the night market. If you want an authentic experience with good service for a good price. check this place out. My one complain is that the bed was a bit stiff. But the breakfast is really good so it makes up for it!

I would definitely recommend the Grandee Hotel. It's location is fantastic, overlooking the Shilin street market. Quite close to the city centre and easy access to plenty of amenities. Nice room, super friendly staff. They helped call cabs, hold luggage, translate addresses, etc. The unassuming cafe attached to the hotel served me one of the best meals of the trip. The Hotel was easy to find because I took a taxi from TaoYuan Airport (not SongZhan Airport). Reception was warm & friendly, albeit they spoke very little English. Room was clean and spacious - junior suite. The rug was tad stained and dirty; because it was white/beige. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast choices were limited - eggs the way you want, milk/cereal, […] toast/rolls, chinese porridge and fruits. Hotel was right next to Shilin Market, which can be a boon or a bane. If you are into shopping, there are plenty of shops abound nearby. There is some noise if room is facing street but it dies down. JianTan MRT station is 5 minutes walk. Looking for an accommodation in Taipei? Don't think too much like my friend and I did. Book Grandee Hotel. You won't be disappointed. We weren't at all. Just that there wasn't any bellboy to help carry our excess shopping loot :)

I had a great 6 night stay at the Grandee. The hotel is very convenient to a big bustling market and the excellent Taipei subway system. The service was fantastic, the included breakfast was great and the rooms were quite nice, very boutique-y. I really have no complaints. Only one word, Excellent! Hotel is located at the best location which is close to Shilin night market and the train station, hotel staffs are helpful and polite. The room is also huge and overlooked the Shilin night market, really enjoyed my stay and definitely will book the same hotel when i visit Taipei again next year!

Located on a very busy street, 5 minutes away from 2 metro stations and across the street from one of the night markets. Recommend the premium room for roominess and big bathroom. I have done my share of traveling in Taiwan and stay at may different so call "business" hotels, the Grandee Hotel is some what interesting one. It is conveniently located next to the MRT station. Several Bus stops at the door of the hotel. The hotel is next to the famous shulin night market. It is just steps from shopping and local cuisine. One of […] the draw back being located in such area is high foot traffic, market operates until 2:00am so lots, lots people on the street. If you were staying here, I would recommend requesting rooms in the 6th or the 7th floor so you not bothered by the noise. Room is nicely decorated with modern furniture, however it lack actual functionality. I think the hotel is trying to make the room appear larger than it is. The picture shown on Grandee's website some what exaggerate the size of the room. The staff is very professional, fluent English communication will not be a problem at the Grandee Hotel. This hotel do lack the amenities such as pool, work out room. Overall the hotel is not a bad choice if you are natvie Taiwanese, or you are familar with the local culture.
