Hotel Khreschatik - Київ

After reading some negative reviews about this hotel I was pleasantly surprised when I checked in. Walking into the lobby it is bright and clean, and very comfortable. The desk clerks all spoke English, a nice surprise, as I was prepared to speak with them with my limited knowledge of the Russian language! The room was equally pleasing except for the […] bed which was very hard, but perhaps that is only my personal opinion. The room was kept very clean, and was quiet enough for me to enjoy a good night's sleep each evening. The food was very good at the complimentary breakfast and also the dinners I had there. Although there was one odd thing, late one evening I went to the restaurant and I was given a menu that was printed in English, but the waitress did not speak English, only Ukrainian. So even when I pointed to what I wanted, she could not read it! But she was able to understand my limited Russian and I was able to get my dinner!! Not a bad hotel at all, not sure about the pool, it was for private hire only, Hotel is bolted on to a Casino, though no trouble with that except that it was very cigarette smokey in the reception and entrance

The Hotel was very central, being virtually adjacent to the city's main square and with a metro station a few yards away. Most but not all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. It was great! Definitely a "Soviet period" hotel, but that gave it a lot of atmosphere. The room was basic, and the bathroom was from the 1950s . . . but I wasn't in Kiev to spend my time in the bathroom! The staff were wonderful: all spoke English, and all were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was "different" . . . but by my 4th morning I was […] actually looking forward to the cheesecakes and all the other amazing things on offer. The location is perfect - just near Independence Square. I was on the top floor (7th) and there was no problem with noise (although I heard someone on the 3rd floor complaining about disco music). The rooms are basic enough but did the job. The location is fantastic which is the most important thing for me. I'd stay there again.

When considering to stay there please be aware of two room types: the better ones are more or less ok but the one not yet renovated - welcome to your worst nightmare. This is a good hotel, but not great. However, it is clean and reliable, and has a fantastic location, so + we recommend it. The internet connection works in in the room, but it is very weak, and often the signal disapears. The breakfast is good, and until 11 AM - a plus for late sleepers. Prompt courteous service by staff. Room was clean but, in need of repairs. Plaster was coming off the wall in some spots. Bathroom was in need of repairs to tiled wall. Toilet must have been 30 years old. Maybe I got the worst room in the hotel but, I stayed at Russ Hotel week prior and it was better bargain for the money.

The hotel is definitely centrally located; it is right in the heart of Kiev. The breakfast was great also. The variety was great and the food was well prepared. The only issue that I had was the room itself. The room seemed like it hasn't been renovated since early 80's. The bathroom was OK. Average hotel, no complaints, sterile appearing rooms but unbelievable location. Close to everything in centre.

The location is great, the best in Kiev. The breakfast is good, although the horrible nonstop noisy TV with garbage films is disgusting. Too bad the Ukrainians adopt this ugly side of American culture, and not the service. We never tried to ask for a second coffee, but we shall try the next time. A special […] anthropological feature is the dark flashy SUVs of the local elite, who park on the weekend nights on the sidewalk so near the hotel’s gates that you almost have to rub their paint on your way out. This is the local big guys’ way to showcase themselves as they frequent the night club that shares its entrance with the hotel’s lobby. If you look for fancy newly refurbished facilities, you should have visited this hotel 30 years ago. But if you can settle for less – this hotel tends to be a bit cheaper than others that offer similar standard. That, however, may vary from one day to the next. the hotel was in the perfect location absolute central

Расположение отеля на главной улице города делает посещение основных достопримечательностей особенно удобным, приятно возвращаться после прогулок. Приветливый персонал.

Hotellets läge är dess största tillgång. Beläget på Kievs huvudgata är många sevärdheter, shopping och restauranger inom bekvämt avstånd. Närmaste metrostation finns dessutom ett stenkast utanför hotellentrén. Hotellets personal var hjälpsam och rummen enkla, men rena och funktionella. Hotellet ligget meget centralt i Kiev - men selve hotellet har bestemt set bedre tider. Receptions området er Ok, men værelset var nedslidt. Hvis man kan leve med det, finder man nok ikke noget billigere med samme beliggenhed. Betjening virker i øvrigt venlig og hjælpsom.

Vi ble positivt overrasket over hotellet.

I visited Kiev first time two yrs ago. Staying in this hotel and liked it then and seems to be same again. Some people complain about breakfast but I think it is good enough and has variety to choose rather well. The hotel looks great, at least until you get the room. The room is not a good standard, it is worn and looks out of date, not good at all.... Breakfast is not up to international standard at all. What gives you a good impression is the lobby, that looks great. And also the staff is always trying to do their best and be helpful. Al principio reservé una habitación standard, pero son de calidad de una pensión de España, así que me cambie a una habitación deluxe. Calidad como un 4 estrellas, pero muy caro.

Hotelles absolutte fordel er at det er centralt placeret. Når det er sagt, så er det store værelser med aircon og en døgnåben reception. Morgenmaden var ikke værd at betale ekstra for, men på grund af hotellets placering var det let at finde anden, god morgenmad. För det priset och det läget i Kiev så är det ett mycket bra hotell.

Mer centralt går det inte att bo. Gångavstånd till allt och fantastisk trevlig och tillmötesgående personal.

vraiment , tres bien situé avec du personnel au top tres propre , tres tres tres! j'ai vraiment passé un agréable séjour . Merci a tout le personnel de cet Hotel. J'y retournerai sans probleme.

Hotellets läge var avgörande för oss när vi valde just Kreschastik. Det ligger på vuxet gångavstånd från alla sevärdheter i den fantastiskt vackra staden Kiev. Förutom att det utlovades frukost vilket inte ingick visade sig så var hotellet precis vad man kunde förvänta sig. Personalen var vänlig och kunde bra engelska. Det fanns kartor och annan information […] att få i receptionen. Frukosten var väldigt dyr, men det fanns ett stort kylskåp på rummet så vi löste det på egen hand. Badrum och sängar höll bra standard, inga avloppsbekymmer eller dylikt. Det fanns AC på rummet som gjorde att temperaturen kunde hållas nere även sommartid när vi reste. Jag är mycket nöjd med hotellet, och resan i stort. Åk till Kiev och se något annorlunda, stanna gärna på hotell Kreschastik. Читати далі

Mycket centralt läger, trevlig och hjälpsam personal, utmärkt frukost, rum är rena med bekväma sängar , badrummen nya och bekväma. Skulle rekommendera!
