The Green Lobster is located in the somewhat more quiet Mala Strana area in Prague but is close enough to walk easily to any of the major destination points including Prague Castle, the major museums, Main Square, etc. I also like the restaurant choices on the Mala Strana side better. Great hotel - located near to the castle and about 10 mins away from the Charles Bridge, although it's located on a hilly street (not surprisingly for a castle location) so be prepared for an uphill walk with your luggage unless you arrive by taxi. My brother and I had travelled through Prague, Vienna, and Munich for about two weeks getting apartments everywhere we went, however, upon returning to Prague to fly back to America we needed a hotel and we wanted to stay near to where our apartment had been. Well, this hotel is not only in an excellent location, near to the St. Charles Bridge, but […] it is stunning in ambiance, staff, and amenities. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wanted a class act while they travelled. The building itself was from the 1300's or so, but all of the fixtures were modern, our room felt like an apartment, it had a loft that had two single beds, the first floor held a generous queen size bed, a great bathroom, and sleek furniture, I felt right at home. The breakfast that was served in the morning, and included in the price which is extremely rare these days, was superb. The staff was helpful, friendly, and informative. We had no heat in our room. Requested maintenance twice and were told it's not possible to fix. We stayed with 11month old baby and it was 5 degrees C outside. We were told by receptionist that no other rooms are available. On the third request we were given a space heater. Also bathroom smelled pretty bad and had to be cleaned several times before […] we could use it. Читати далі

lovely hotel, friendly staff, great location, lovely restuarants nearby. only a couple of things let it down...... double bed was two twins which kept moving apart, no tea making facilities in room and lift only went to third floor, as we were on fourth floor it made it a bit inconvenient.

We were absolutely delighted with our accommodation at the Green Lobster, I definitely felt it was value for money. It is in the Castle district which for us was a bonus but for others who do not like a lot of hills and walking then perhaps another precinct would be better.

We arrived far too early, but got a room anyway, in the second Nerudova property, Bijou de Prague, across the street. The reception was in the Green Lobster, though. To our delight, our room, the Mozart, looked exactly as in the promotional pictures. It had an AC (not needed in March), a big four-poster bed with excellent linens and pillows, high-backed, […] damask-covered chairs, a large beautifully tiled bathroom, and even a "bonus-room" with a desk and daybed. The furniture was appropriately old-fashioned, in dark wood with gold trim. The area was very quiet at night, a bonus after all the running around one does in a new place. There are good restaurants in different price ranges nearby; some are even non-smoking! The service both at the Green Lobster and the Bijou de Prague was excellent; the staff was very helpful and accommodating. There was the wonderful breakfast with hot and cold selections, fruits, vegetables, and wonderful breads/cakes. As we were the only guests in the Bijou the first night of our stay, the great staff brought an enormous breakfast to our room in the morning. We were so pleased with our stay that we are definitely coming back! Although we overall were very pleased with our stay, there are some drawbacks, though: the hotel is on a hill, less than a 5 minutes walk from the Castle, and has no elevator, so guests with bad legs will be at a disadvantage. The Charles Bridge, and Prague's many other attractions are within an easy walking distance, though, as are several parks. The only thing we actually missed was a coffee maker in the room--it would have been a plus. As would a shower curtain! Читати далі

Hotellet er gammelt, oser av sjarm og er møblert med gamle møbler og en romantisk himmelseng. Det er vanskelig å finne en god stol å sitte i, men hvem bryr seg egentlig om det? Værre er det at madrassen i senga er så hard at når du lukker øynene fort får fornemmelsen av å være på telttur på et tynt liggeunderlag. Vi etterlyste "mer madrass", men det […] lot seg ikke gjøre. Madrassen er eneste grunn til at jeg nok ikke velger dette hotellet igjen. Av samme grunn kan jeg heller ikke anbefale dette hotellet til venner og bekjente. Sånn sett bør noen fortelle hotellets eier at det er en dårlig forretningside å basere seg på madrasser langt under middels kvalitet. Hotellet har for øvrig potensiale til å være en "femmer"-kandidat (Svært tilfreds)! Читати далі

Fantastiskt mysigt hotell där vårt standardrum visade sig bli ett vindsrum i etage med utsikt över hela staden, helt underbart. Enda nackdelen var att varmvattnet var svårinställt, men vi ville inte byta vårt mysiga rum, så vi stod ut med det. Frukosten var väldigt basic men helt ok till de rumspriserna. Väldigt mysiga kvarter med slottet precis bakom […] hotellet. Många ambassader ligger i närheten vilket ger området en känsla av renlighet, elegans och trygghet. Inte lika turistigt som på andra sidan Karlsbron. Vi kommer tillbaka! Читати далі

Aivan ihana historiallinen talo, tyylikäs huone (huonekalut jne),erinomainen sijainti.Kertaakaan emme tarvinneet julkisia kulkuvälineitä. Ei ehkä sovi huonokuntoisille,jos huone sijaitsee 4.kerroksessa. Aamiainen ainut miinus:ilmeisesti kuka tahansa pääsee kokiksi...Periaattessa ei mitään maistuvaa tarjolla(emme ole nirsoja);45 min ennen aamiaisen loppua […] ruoka loppui kokonaan. Aika kummallista.Toisaalta, Starbucks kahvila lähellä. Nerudova katu on iltaisin ihmeen rauhallinen,suorastaan hiljainen.Jos menemme toista kertaa Prahaan,ehdottomasti valitsemme Green Lobsterin. Et rent og bra hotell, stille og rolig. Grei beliggenhet, men du må like å gå en del. Frukost var det som trakk ned, denne var litt enkel, men ferske fine bakevarer.

Hotellrommet hadde veldig svake lyspærer - særlig på badet.

The hotel has a great location, and the staff was very friendly and helpful when assisting with booking restaurants and guiding us around to the nearby attractions, which are plentiful! Unfortunately the standard of the rooms was a bit below the expected of the four star rating, and the defective smoke alarm (which beeped every half hour or so) was […] not fixed, which ruined our sleep for two of the three nights, and that is practically unforgivable! Hotellet var en positiv overraskelse. Betjeningen var hyggelig og hjelpsom. Rommene var store og godt reingjort. Eneste som trakk litt ned var frokosten. Hotellet ligger innenfor gangavstand til det historiske sentrum i Praha, ca 10 min. å gå ned til Karlsbroen. Det er også mange restauranter og puber i nærområdet. Fantastisk beliggenhet, flotte rom, men frokosten trekker ned. Området rundt bra, og billig og god frokost "rundt hjørnet".

I have no words to describe this hotel. Perfect localization, perfect room (I would say that room was a small flat instead of room). I strong recommend, cause it's close to the main sights: Charles bridge (10 min walking), Praga Castle, Astronomical clock... That's quite sure when I'll be at Prague again Green Lobster will be my choice.

Greie rom og beliggenhet. Men frokosten var en katastrofe. Dårlig matsal, den lå i kjelleren og man fikk følelsen av at man satt i et bomberom. Maten var heller ikke god. Vi gikk ut og kjøpte frokost noe som faktisk var helt greit. Billig og godt. Til den prisen vi betalte er vi fornøyde.

We spend 4 nights there end july 2011 and was not happy. The hotel is well overestimated and the only positive word is the location – the rest is pure crap: 1. Really worn out room/hotel. 2. The room was not clean. 3. The shower had wery poor water pressure and only hot water in short periods. 4. No or really poor internet. 5. Really poor and low-end […] breakfast with no service. Lovely, super service, spacious room and bathroom, large tv, dvd. Minibar/fridge. Super restaurant in Neruda Hotel next door, neighbourhood is full of atmosphere and great architecture. You can walk in to the square as well - you hardly have to use public transport. Lovely car service to the airport.

Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Prager Burg auf einem kleinen Hügel, an einer belebten Strasse. Parkplätze gibt es dort so gut wie gar nicht, allerdings sind ein paar Strassen weiter, kostenfreie Plätze auf der Strasse zu finden. Das Hotel an sich ist gut und klein. Nur das Frühstück fanden wir sehr mau. Brot, Cornflakes, Rührei, Punkt! Naja.. Zu Fuß […] ist allerding einiges zu erreichen u der kleine Hügel, auf den man abends wieder hoch muß, sollte nicht abschrecken. Das Personal war sehr nett u sprachen v.a. englisch. Читати далі

Modtaget ved ankomst af en meget nedladende og rigtig dårligt talende receptionist og kundebetjening er et fremmedord. Generelt virkede personalet uengageret og sure, en rigtig dårlig oplevelse. Morgenmaden vil jeg ikke give til min hund, så meget skal den ikke straffes. Pris ; alt for dyrt i forhold til hvad hotellet kan præstere. Antal stjerner […] ; en for beliggenhed, en for værelset = 2 stjerner Her er overordentligt meget plads til forbedring. Читати далі

Fint hotel - placeret på " gaden " hvor der kun er 5 minutter til rigtig mange seværdigheder. Vi bestiller 3 værelser - får udleveret 1 på hotellet, mens de 2 andre findes 5o meter nede af gaden - ok - ikke det vi har bestilt, men det går. Morgenmad på hotellet helt ok - så vi har fået et godt indtryk, som vi gerne vil bringe videre.

Tolle Lage, direkt unterhalb der Burg. Ruhiges, gepflegtes Viertel. Nur 10 Min. zur Karlsbrücke. Gutes Frühstück, angenehme Zimmergröße mit Parkett. Im Bad leider keine Ablagefläche. Top Preis, wenn man frühzeitig bucht. Raucher müssen allerdings auf der Straße rauchen.
