Commanding a splendid coastal site, its palm-lined seafront promenade backed by rugged mountains, Split is Croatia’s second city after Zagreb. The UNESCO-listed old town lies within the walls of Emperor Diocletian’s 3rd-century Roman palace. The pedestrian-only, marble-paved streets and piazzas are filled with medieval stone buildings, cafes and boutiques. Daily ferries serve the nearby islands and many yacht charter companies are based here.

Lovely and modern hotel that is part of Diocletian's palace. Wonderful service, cool hotel. Would definitely recommend this place!!
"FRIENDLY SMALL CENTRAL HOTEL"
The hotel is sited right in the heart of Diocletian's palace. It is easier to get to than some reviewers have suggested: start on Riva, the seafront promenade. Enter the old town though the Bronze Gate, through the basement of the old palace, now arts and crafts stalls, towards the Cathedral tower. You emerge at the Peristyle, a small square. Turn back […] on yourself and go up the steps through the roofless domed space of the old vestibule and the hotel is on your right. Reception is friendly and efficient. There is a pleasant modern lounge area, with free use of an internet-laptop. In warmer weather there is table service on the square outside. They called the ferry company for me to resolve a discrepancy between what the ticket office staff had told me and the information on the website. The rooms are essentially modern, with just an archway of old palace wall. Well equipped, well lit, good heating, minibar, pleasant feel to them. Curtains keep out most of the light. TV, little in English (history channel, discovery channel). Bright bathroom. Breakfast was a first rate spread: cereals, fruit, salads, cheese, freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee made for you, squeeze your own honey. Friendly staff. Generous: my afternoon tea and biscuits was included. Note that there is no lift, so if stairs are a problem then it is not for you. Читати далі
"旧市街内の小さなホテル"
ホテル「ヴェスティブル・パレス」の本館に１泊しました。 たどり着くまでにやや迷いましたが、旧市街の中ということで立地条件は最高です。 館内および室内は改装されており、落ち着いた色調のインテリアで統一されオシャレな雰囲気。清潔感もあり設備も整っていました。 ただ、部屋は小さめだったので、人によっては窮屈に感じるかもしれません。 何より素晴らしかったのはホテルのスタッフさんの対応。到着した時から常に笑顔で接してくれ、フロントの前を通ると必ず一言声をかけてくれるなど、とても気持ちよく過ごさせていただきました。 再びスプリットに行く機会があれば、またこのホテルに泊まりたいと思います。

The hotel is perfectly located within the walls of the old palace in Split. It's location is perfect for shopping, a day at the beach, og as a base for daytips to the islands.. Hotelstaff are very serviceminded and recommends everything from nice beached to excellents resturants, they helped with trasfer to the airport, and everything else. The hotelresturant […] is one of the better resturants in Split, so dinner there atleast one night is a must. We will definitely return.. perfect stay for our honeymoon... Читати далі
