Ok, room was clean and the bed was quite good, but the room was so uncosy that I really felt horrified when we first saw our room. It was so small that we could hardly turn around, no place for luggages and things and we were supposed to stay there for five nights. Next day we got another room after many explanations from staff that all their rooms […] are just similar. The new room was not exactly so small but not very functional either. The hotel was clean and located in a decent location regarding walking distance to the Ramblas and the beach. However, the rooms are so small you can hardly put a suitcase in them and the bathroom is part of your room! The absolute worse thing was its lack of ventilation. When I tried to cool the room I got hot air. It was like trying to sleep in a sauna. I booked through hotels.com and the room was very inexpensive. It was centrally located but you do have to walk a bit. The staff was nice, the room was modern with a great shower, and it was quiet.

The Atta Mimic is well located - a few minutes off La Rambla (at the ocean end) and close to the Columbus monument. The rooms are small and let's say eclectic. The 'bathroom' is more or less inside your room - so don't stay there with someone you don't know really well. The decor in the hotel is seedy, bordello style: our floor was not promising with […] red lights on the walls outside the rooms that made us ask if they were also available by the hour. In terms of price, the deal from Hotels.com meant we paid just about what we think the room was worth. Any more and we would have gone from acceptance to disappointment in the hotel. Undoubtedly, however, the best thing about the hotel is that they rent out Electric bikes. If you want to discover Barcelona and have total freedom this is a great way to do it. We rented bikes at Eur25 for the whole day and the batteries lasted even though we went to Forum, Sagrada Familia, Park Guell (big hill up to this one) and then back through the city to the hotel. This is an excellent idea from the hotel giving you total freedom throughout the day and having the bike at the door was perfect. BTW the Barcelona City Tour bus costs Eur24 for the day - so make your choice between the two. The hotel is particularly well located if you want to get up to Montjuic. The Funicular runs from Parallel metro which is a four minute walk from the hotel. Читати далі

Location was great and staff was very knowledgeable to the area and had great recommendations! Would stay here again for sure. The bathroom is open with clear glass to the room, but very nice shower. What a funky and fun hotel. Its quirkiness is so typical of Barcelona, with the emphasis on FUN. Staff at the hotel were very helpful. The rooms were compact but did everything it says on the tin. me and my boyfriend stayed at this hotel for three nights. the room was very small and the whole hotel had this funny scent. it was not like a bad smell but it bothered me. and even though the hotel seemed new it was kind of dirty. it had stained on the walls and on the floor that wouldn't go away and rust in the basin. This hotel was a pleasant stay. The decor was recent and modern in style. It's definitely a different looking hotel but it's different in a good way. The hotel was conveniently located close to Las Ramblas (2 min walk) and the tube stations. The only negative point is that although the location is great the surrounding is a little bit questionable […] as there were homeless people and druggy's loitering around the hotel at night which makes you feel a little unsafe as you're walking into the reception. Also I don't understand why they do not have a security guard at the door. I must say though we didn't have any trouble from these hobos and I don't see it as much of a problem should you be in a group. This was an awful hotel. The location was in a dangerous part of the city and every evening the front of the hotel was where the homeless slept, up to 6 in sleeping bags. We decided to taxi to and from the hotel as we didn't feel safe. In fact the hotel was in lock down mode as you had to be buzzed into it. The surrounding area was not much better with […] local prostitutes in the nearby streets. The rooms were small, basic and the walls were paper thin and we could hear everything in the ajoining rooms and the corridor and didn't get much sleep. No window opening for fresh air. The shower is in your bedroom and when you showered water would run out into the basin area. No decent wardrobe area either. The reception had no information for tourists if you required maps or leaflets and we asked for an Iron room or iron and we were told they didn't supply. Do not stay here if you value your health. “Find Somewhere Else!! Me and my girlfriend recently returned from Barcelona after spending a very poor 3 nights at this hotel. We arrived and where shown to our first room which had a jail cell feel to it, with no windows and no internal structure seperating the bathroom from the bedroom. After showering, we discovered to our annoyance that the drain […] wasn't draining at a decent rate, and we where padding about in dirty bathwater. After getting our room changed and 'upgraded', we where put in a room that wasn't generally getting used by the hotel due to the very evident damp problem that the room had. Trying to start the air con to disperse the steam due to the lack of windows, we where told that they had recently got it switched to warm air only, and so had to open the room door to allow the steam to escape. If you are looking for a hotel with location only, then this is relatively good, but the lack of decent amenities and poor design of this hotel will have you gritting your teeth from the get-go! We stayed in this hotel for 4 days. We chose it because my partner is a bit of an artsy geek and I thought he would like the edgy artsy look etc. So we gave it a try. It was on a good location, and everything was cute upon walking in. However, I have to say it could do with some improvements. It was sort of like living in an IKEA show room. Very cute […] ideas but not always practical. Examples: Toilet is at the front of the room and the sink and tub at the back of the room.. so to wash your hands you go to the other end of the room. The sink was a small bowl but had very high pressure so we constantly sprayed water everywhere. The controls on the shower were a pain in the rear to figure out. The glass enclosure for the shower was set up in a way that caused the water to run down the glass and out the side of the tub causing a pool on the floor.. There were other items that while ok were just a bit odd and pointless, like the colored lights that you can turn on but only last a few seconds before shutting off. Anyway, the room was always clean and the staff good so I can't complain. The beds were comfy, but ofcourse were European style double, (two singles pushed together). Great hotel, good staff in good location. Yes the rooms are small but everything else about the hotel was very good. I certainly would stay there again !

Friendly, helpful, English speaking staff. the room was a bit small but served us well for the night we were there. Located close to the cruise port and La Rambla. Very good breakfast buffet.

Unusual and interesting hotel design and accommodations. Friendly Customer Service. Great restaurant and food options. Good location, closer to many activites and shops. Reasonable rates.

Although only a 10 minute walk to Las Ramblas, the immediate neighborhood was described as "exotic" by one of our guides. I didn't feel completly safe there at night. Our room was tiny and spartan. We could hear everything that happened in the hall and adjoining rooms ... No privacy!

This was a great place to stay. The hotel seemed very new and modern and clean. My room was huge, with a very large shower room/washroom, and the toilet was by itself in a seperate room. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I also loved how close it was to central Barcelona. The hotel is about a 3-5 minute walk to Las Ramblas and about […] 15 minutes or so to Placa de Catalunya. All in all I really enjoyed staying there and would gladly stay there again in the future. Dirty rooms. I booked standard economy which comes with a double bed as written on website but when I checked in I got a single bed for 2 of us, when I complained about thid receptionist asked me to contact hotels.com. The fellow on the desk on that weekend, whose name escapes us at this time, was extremely friendly and helpful. It is a very unique hotel being a former theatre. Nice to have a place within the building to have other meals and a place to sit and read with books available. Also has a sundeck on top. We were very pleased with this hotel.

Our party (ages 27-29) stayed at the Acta Mimic for a three night stay in Barcelona. The hotel was conveniently located near Las Ramblas (3 minute walk) and the marina. Please note: the marina is not the same as the waterfront (beach) in Barcelona where you’ll find a variety of dining options (the beach is a 6 euro cab drive away). You should be aware […] that this hotel is extremely modern and minimalist in design/layout and amenities (no irons- although they did offer laundry service for a fee). The rooms are completely white with exposed showers & sinks and partially exposed toilets. Our room was two floors with a winding staircase which made it impossible to bring out luggage up to the 2nd floor where the bedroom was. This meant our luggage remained on the first floor which was very inconvenient because the exposed shower often flooded the toilet and sink area. There was one table and one chair in the room with no place to store belongings which meant we lived out of our suitcases. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful. The location was directly off Las Ramblas but on a side street which was somewhat sketchy both day & night. I would not suggest the location if you are a female traveling alone. This hotel worked for us because we spent a very small amount of time at the hotel & were busy exploring the city. It has modern decoration and design in a very convenient location. the breakfast was not included in the price and we pay 12Euro per person for that, but it worth. the only annoying point is that the room was really small. maybe for single person it works, but for two, even for a couple, it is a problem!

this was one of the strangest hotels we have ever stayed at. corridors were painted black with only small red lights on. room bathroom had no curtains or blinds just several discs of varying sizes which were supposed to provide privacy. they do not work!!

Staff were excellent, however the rooms were a little claustophobic because the windows in the rooms and in the corridors did not open.

I took two rooms in this modern futuristic hotel as I was staying with my 17 year old son. He thought it 'cool' and it was certainly a novelty to use the shower which was open to the street below through big glass windows. We hoped we could not be seen! We were given two free rooms for a night for next year. We would not have used these facilities anyway as we were so close to all the bars, restaurants of Les Ramblas. Dejligt op hold på sjovt hotel. Hotellet har fin morgenmads restaurent. Værelserne er små, men der mangler ikke noget. Hotellet har en rigtig dejlig tag-terrasse. Godt hotel til storby, hvor man er ude hele dagen i Barcelona.

Très bien situé c'est le point le plus positif, à 5 minutes à pieds des Ramblas, juste à côté du métro. Propre, chambre sympathique. Point négatif : Parking très cher et pas de fenêtre dans la chambre. Cette ville est forte agréable, et la proximité de l'hôtel donne encore plus de charme.

Hotellet var egentlig OK - selvom det første indtryk var, at det var et ombygget parkeringshus - beton i beton!! Men værelserne var simpelthen så kolde, og en henvendelse i receptionen hjalp ikke meget på det. Begrundelsen var, at der jo havde været varmt i ugen forinden, så man havde "slukket for motoren"....og den kunne ikke bare startes igen! Men […] jeg kunne da få et ekstra tæppe. Chambre petite mais suffisante pour 3 jours de tourisme. Nous avons apprécié la grande salle de bain ouverte sur la chambre. Une mention spéciale pour la literie, extrêmement confortable. Seul petit bémol, il manque un petit bureau.

Kort avstand fra Las Ramblas. Veldig god frokost, fersk og variert,

Hotellet i seg selv er kult innredet og har bra beliggenhet i forhold til turistverdige plasser å se i Barcelona. Vi som alle andre synes det er relevant å bo tett opptil til La Rambla selv om vi ikke akkurat henger der hele oppholdet. La Rambla er uintererssant i seg selv men det er hovedåren til alle de andre vakre områdene som virkelig er verdt å […] utforske når man er denne fantastiske spanske byen. Området rundt hotell Acta Mimic er ikke det beste men det gjør det desto mer interessant for min del. Det ER morsomt å se hvor mange horer og mobilbutikker man kan skvise inn i en gate og hvordan lokalbefolkningen forholder seg til dette. Lengre oppover Para-lel ligger det flere tapasbarer med digg mat vi benyttet oss av. Ellers har de bygd en ny kino/kulturhus i nærheten som hadde endel bra ting på programmet og det var ikke vanskelig å finne dagligvarehandel... eller mobilbutikker.LOL. Frokosten og bemanningen på hotellet var absolutt tilfredstillende og underetasjen -hvor man kan henge ut og se TV, var hyggelig nok til at vi tok oss bryet med å henge der en kveld. Konklusjon: Acta Mimic er et fresht og stilig hotell til en rimelig penge og et behagelig sted å være i en ellers hektisk turistinfisert by. Anbefales. Читати далі

Sök annat hotel!!! Usch....Stannade 7 nätter och vi stirrade oss nog lite blinda på närheten till RAMBLAN och prisbilden....helt fel...(= Etersom man blir lite less på gatan redan efter en kväll och närheten blir nästan fullständigt oviktigt...) Ville avboka och byta hotell redan efter första natten...då man set hur litet rummet är och provat duscha […] en lite stund...men kolla avbokningsreglerna!! Inga återbetalningar...det borde ringa en varningsklocka då man inte betalar tillbaka pengarna för missnöjda hotellgäster... när man väl "har slagit klorna i sitt byte"...ni fattar! Men ska man försöka vara lite strukturerad så är betyget som följer... POSITIVA OMDÖMMEN: + för en helt OK säng men övriga negativa omdömmen tar bort en endast hyfsat skön säng... NEGATIVA OMDÖMMEN: - dåligt ventilation i dusch...ser coolt ut på bilderna, glasväggar och öppen dusch... men med en näst intill OBEFINTLIG VENNTILATION så blir hela rummets klimat snabbt väldigt likt en regnskog och man blir vansinnig på fukten.. - De har ingen luftkonditionering på i mars...slås på under högsäsong...jag tror ingen gäst kände att de ville ha värmen på i detta lilla rum....när solen ligger på så värms rummet upp till närmare 30 grader varmt...även i mars...klagade på luften men hotellet vägrade "slå om" luftkonditioneringen till kyla under denna årstid... Frukostbuffén är inte bra för 12euro...klagade på skinkan som luktade surt men inget hände...de tog inte ens bort den från buffén... Allt som ska vara varmt som bacon och äggröra var kallt och rumstempererat och tvärtom...allt kallt var oxå rumstempererat... Resultat = Blev dålig i magen lördag morgon...vet inte av vad !!! inte bra änn...tre dagar senare! Summasumarum = är att man INTE ska ta risken att betala för denna upplevelsen....inte värt pengarna, jag kommer inte bo på detta hotel igen...betalar hellre lite mer för mycket bättre! Das Bett war extrem schmal, nicht für zwei Leute geignet. Das Hotel liegt in einer dunklen Gasse mit herunter gekommemenen Haüsern. An der Rezeption wurde uns gesagt, wir sollen diese Gasse abends nicht benutzen und müssen einen Umweg nehmen.
