Hotel Andra - Мюнхен

The room was spacious and very clean, the service is excellent and the location is just where you need to be to visit and enjoy Munich! They upgraded me to a deluxe room for free and the breakfast buffet is just amazing.. what else ?! Be back soon for the oktoberfest :-)

The location was good as it was right between the oktoberfest fairgrounds and the marienplatz but the neighborhood was extremely difficult to find parking. The hotel does not provide a parking garage so you have to find a place on the street (very difficult) or find another garage. This was my only issue with the hotel.

An excellent hotel in its price range. Conveniently close to the central station but in a quiet area. The room was large, clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and English speaking. I thouroughly enjoyed that the bed was firmer than most hotel beds. Only criticsm is that since the room was so large, there was plenty of room for a comfy chair - so […] why wasn't there one? We visited the hotel on february 2012. The hotel crew is very helpul. The room was warm, clean. The bed was wide and comfortable. I reccommend for every one.

My wife & I just spent 5 days for ISPO2012 at Hotel Andra, Munich last week. As other comments said, this is a small but clean & cosy hotel with pretty good breakfast. Only 5 mins to Mainstation by foot. Hotel staff are all nice and helpful. Strongly recommend and hopefully we will visit again soon.

In reference to the other reviews, I won't disagree that the walk between train station and hotel is a little strange at night...however, if you are traveling with people that won't matter. But it is very safe, just seems weird. All that aside, the hotel is so nice and the staff is superb. (we traveled to another country during that time) I would stay at Hotel Andra again any time. There is also a pharmacy and grocery store within the same block, so that is nice too. surroundings as bad as you could image near the station, lousy entrance, things improve at the lobby (1st floor) and with the rooms. The hotel is in a good location - 3 blocks from the train station. The room was a nice size and was clean and comfortable. The included breakfast buffet was delicious. The staff was friendly and spoke English. I can't think of anything bad at all about Hotel Andra. I would definiely stay there again.

i would highly recommend this hotel for its location,its service,its breakfast and how quiet it was at night.we really did not hear any noise from street.maybe not for families with very small children,ours are 11yrs and 8yrs and it was perfect.

The staff was great! Very helpful. Asked if it was possible to get coffee at 4:30 am the morning we had to leave and it was no problem. Only negative is the neighborhood between the hotel and train station is a little seedy, but seemed safe enough with a buddy. Room was a nice size.

We stayed at the Andra during the opening of the annual Munich Christmas Market. The hotel location is a very SAFE 12 minute walk to the Karlsplatz and a few more minutes further to the Marienplatz. The staff at the hotel was super friendly and very helpful. We were very impressed with this hotel and would DEFINATELY recommend this hotel. Some reviews […] indicated that parking might be an issue - we did'nt find that to be the case. I found "on street" parking right in front of the hotel every day and that was only 6 Euros a day (opposed to the parking recommended on the hotel website of 13 Euros per day - which is a couple of blocks away). This hotel was well worth the money spent and is a good location to use as a "base of operations" when exploring Munich and the surrounding area. Читати далі

One of the few negatives was the poor design of the shower. That being said however, my family and I loved our stay there and would certainly go back to stay there again. It is very close to both the train station and Oktoberfest grounds, and a reasonable walk to Marienplatz. Also, the complimentary breakfast out on the terrace was amazing.

the only positive things to mention are the lovely breakfast buffet and the mostly friendly staff. the rest I'd rather not comment on.....not comparable to hotels in the same price category within Munich or even close to central station

Close to main station and only 10 minutes from Marien Platz.. Most expensve hotel of our German holiday, although couldn't really fault it. The breakfast was exscellent,a lthough a bit of a squeeze if it is raining and the outdoor area cannot be used. Family room had two decent beds.

This hotel was not in the best neighborhood. It was on a very busy and loud street. We were on the first floor and had trouble sleeping due to noise and cigarette smoke outside the room. While it was a short walk to the train station and city sights, I would have preferred a nicer, quieter neighborhood. The room was advertised as a triple, but the third […] bed was on the floor, jammed in between the bed and closet. It was very hot with no A/C nor fan. I stayed here with my husband and three children for one night in July. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was comfortable (but a little too warm), the breakfast was fantastic and the location was great, the surrounding neighbourhood does not look the best but is perfectly safe. We really enjoyed our one night at this hotel - spacious room which accommodated 2 adults and 2 kids - the breakfast was good (there's a lovely courtyard in the middle of this hotel to sit outside). I'd highly recommend.

Overall, this hotel was good for the price. The room was a little dirty, and there were some casinos and other night-life establishments nearby. But the hotel was in a great location: just a short walk from the Hauptbanhof and also pretty close to many of Munich's attractions, like Asamkirche and Frauenkirche.

Nice, clean, recently renovated hotel. Close to Train Station. We ask for directions at Tourist Information center and walked to the hotel. Many grocery stores in the street (one downstairs). This hotel was a great stay and a great value. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was spectacular. We had a "family room" for 4 people and it was a perfect value, close to the Hauptbanhof, clean, and comfortable.

The hotel is in a nice location (Muslim neighborhood, I believe) and was a nice room with a lovely terrace area for outdoor breakfast. The main issue that I had was that I had booked and paid for the room over a month in advance and when I arrived with my 68 year old father after pulling our luggage from the train station, I was told that they did not […] have a room for us! They said there was a trainee error and that they were now full. They had booked a room at another (lesser) hotel much further away from our desired location that did not serve breakfast and said they would pay for it and for a taxi to get there. I had to really stand my ground and it came to threatening to call the police before a vacant room was suddenly available and they said they would have to bump other guests. As they should have! The hotel was so easy to find, and it was fabulous that we could walk there from the main train station and didn't have to rent a taxi, as those are quite expensive in Munich. We arrived there quite early in the morning from an overnight flight from the US and were exhausted. The hotel staff was so friendly and helpful, even though check in wasn't supposed […] to be until later in the afternoon, they rearranged some rooms and found us a great one to move into. And I loved the pillows! As a general rule, I don't trust hotel pillows so I brought my own just in case I wasn't pleased, and I'm happy to say I didn't need it. The hotel wasn't too far from the Marienplatz so it made for a nice stroll. We took several day trips to the surrounding areas that left from the hauptbahnhof (central train station) so it was a perfect location for what we needed! We stayed during the end of May so the weather was perfect and our room stayed a perfect temperature by leaving the windows open. The only downside that I could find was that it might not be so enjoyable in the dead of summer as there was no air conditioning that I could find. Читати далі

Very enjoyable experience. Room was cozy and clean. Location is great for touring Munich. Breakfast was delightful. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions to local events and hot spots.

I really enjoyed my staying in Andra Hotel. He has a perfect location only 5 minutes from the main train station, and 10 minutes walk to the center of the town. The staff was very very nice and extremely helpful for every question or help i needed. The Breakfast was very good and fulfilling. This hotel, for the price, was a great deal. Although the neighborhood was in a busy ethnic area, three streets away was an upscale shopping area. 10 minutes walk and you are at the Marianplatz. The best part of this hotel is the great staff...they were very kind and helpful for every question we had. We needed directions, an iron, parking info...they […] were very gracious in helping us. We got into Munich and were so glad to get settled in so we could go out and play. We were very pleased that the owner got us into our room before noon. He was very pleasant to us right away and spoke good English which we NEEDED! The breakfast the next day was wonderful and we were waited on by the host and hostess. très bon hôtel avec une chambre plutôt basique et petite mais d'une très grande propreté. le petit déjeuner est un plus malgré la petite taille de la salle et le personnel est très serviable.

Das Hotel ist zwar sehr zentral gelegen, aber auch in einem eher heruntergekommenen Quartier. Leider hat sich der "Family-Room" als sehr spartanische Klause von rund 12m2 mit einem Doppelbett und zwei schmudeligen Matratzen für unsere 4-köpfige Familie herausgestellt. Ein vorgefundenes, gebrauchtes Papiernastuch, nur um ein Beispiel zu nennen, dürfte […] noch heute unter dem Bett liegen. Auf das Frühstück mussten wir teilweise eine halbe Stunde warten, weil der Frühstücksraum für die Grösse des Hotels zu klein konzipiert worden ist. Alles in allem ein Aufenthalt zum Vergessen. Das Hotel wählten wir wegen den positiven Kundenbewertungen aus der langen Liste aus. Die ruhige, sichere, und trotzdem zentrale Lage, sowie ein gutes Frühstück - alles für einen vernünftigen Preis - waren die wichtigsten Kriterien für uns. Wir (4 Frauen auf Shoppingtour) waren positiv überrascht und fühlten uns in dem sehr großen Zimmer sehr wohl. […] Einzig die Geräusche von den anderen Zimmern waren am Abend etwas störend, in der Nacht war es aber wunderbar ruhig. Unser Zimmer befand sich in dem hinteren Haus. Das Hotel kann ich jede Familie empfehlen, für unternehmunslustige junge Leute kann es zu ruhig sen. Wir werden sicher zurückkehren. Читати далі

Avevamo prenotato una camera con un letto matrimoniale e due letti singoli. Tutto presente nella stanza ma i due letti singoli erano materassi attaccati al letto matrimoniale cosi tanto che per andare a letto abbiamo dovuto salire dalla parte dei piedi. Per fare colazione alla mattina gli ospiti dell'hotel dovevano mettersi in coda e attendere il loro […] turno per un tempo decisamente lungo perchè i tavoli non erano sufficiente.Aspetto positivo direi la posizione a circa 10 minuti a piedi dal centro e la disponibilità del personale.Sicuramente però non lo consiglierei ai miei amici. Nachdem wir super Bewertungen gelesen hatten,haben wir uns für dieses Hotel entschieden und wurden nicht enttäuscht.Grosses Zimmer,tolles Frühstück, netter Service. Wir werden unseren nächsten Aufenthalt in München sicher wieder im Hotel Andra verbringen.

Realmente la atención es muy buena y son muy amables, pero el hotel no es de 4 estrellas. Las habitaciones son bastante sencillas. El desayuno es bufete libre, poca variedad, pero muy cuidado. La zona de desayuno es muy pequeña. Está a unos 5 minutos de la estación Central y dando un paseo de unos 15 o 20 minutos.

El acceso, tanto de la calle que nos lleva al hotel como del hotel mismo, es lamentable. No hay teléfono en la habitación. Internet no funciona, ni siquiera pagando una cuota diaria. Las camas diminutas. El mobiliario "cutrísimo". Solo se salva el personal, muy atento y educado. El buffet del desayuno está bien y bien atendido.
