The room was compact but had absolutely everything you needed to live for a year! Very convenient. The bed was a little too hard, but other than that everything was fine, Parking was the only awkward thing, the nearest spaces to leave for long term were about a mile away, but it was a pleasant walk and the Apartment was close enough to all the major […] sights for us to walk to and not detract from our stay. Facilities in the suite are excellent. In the Old Town, not too far from Royal Mile, Castle etc but further from main shopping/New Town

Booked the hotel at the last minute as a place to stay whilst attending an event in the city, and was by far the cheapest in Edinburgh at that time. Less than 10 minutes walk from Princes Street the building is mainly student accommodation - though you wouldn't know it - with the third floor reserved as hotel rooms with it's own electronic entry system. […] The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the apartment was clean and very well presented. Parking is a little tricky however, as there is only on-street parking in the area, and at £2 per hour, with a max stay of 4 hours a little limiting. There were no parking restrictions or charges between 6.30pm on a Saturday & 7.30am on Monday, so if it's a weekend break it's not so bad, though it might be worth checking on the City Council's website in case this changes. We were initially parked around 100 yards from the hotel, though I was able to move the car almost right outside later in the evening then just left it there until we left on Sunday afternoon. The apartment has a kitchen with microwave oven, hob, kettle & toaster and was very modern & clean. There is tea and coffee provided, though I would recommend taking your own milk as the sachets of milk provided don't go very far at all. The bedroom was in a kind of loft, up a few stairs and the layout in general was very good. Overall a very pleasent place to stay, and a comfortable and quiet night's sleep. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel, or staying there again ourselves. 5 stars! Читати далі

This is in an apartment building that is dedicated to housing students doing graduate work at Edinburgh U. However, that is not a bad thing. The floor that the apt. was on was used just for "guests" and was quiet and comfortable. Security was tight (in a good way) and the entire property was clean and well run. Richmond Place Apartments were ideal for my stay in Edinburgh. The location is great and the suite was fantastic, with brand new appliances. The only minor problem was that there was some kind of power safety cut-off to the heaters in the room, which meant they cut out and had to be regularly re-activated. Everything else was perfect!

A very surprisingly, convenient apartment which was very well maintained and is a great location - very close to the city centre but still quiet. The only negative was lack of car parking as the on street parking is restrictive and car parks expensive

Richmond Place apartments is a self-catering hotel. The room for 2 that we had was very small but suited us fine as we spent most of our time exploring Edinburgh. The bathroom was clean with new fittings. Then only quibbles with it were that there was only 1 towel hook, which was odd given this was to be a room for 2; and also that the toilet brush […] was smelly and needed to be changed for a new one. We brought it up to reception as we were leaving and the woman there was very apologetic and said they'd change it right away. The bed was a spring mattress, fairly comfy, again a bit small for 2 people but not too bad. Overall the place was clean and a good fit for what we needed -- a place from which to easily see Edinburgh. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from Waverley, the main train station, and a similar distance from the castle and the Old Town sights. A couple of good breakfast places nearby. Our favorites were a diner called City Restaurant and a tea house/restaurant called the Elephant House that was apparently a hit with J.K. Rowling when she was living in Edinburgh. Читати далі

We stayed at 5 different hotels during our Scotland vacation and this one was our favorite. Had we known this hotel was as good as it turned out, we would've stayed here our entire time in Edinburgh. The hotel is in a great location by the University and is close to lots of restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping. It's a shared building with students, […] but we had no issues with it. The room we stayed in was really nice, modern, and very clean. We stayed here for 4 nights, did some laundry here in their shared facility, and moved on (unfortunately to a less superior hotel) The only downsides to this place were: some TV channels had poor reception (which was mostly fixed when we mentioned it), and no wireless internet. Very happy with our stay at Richmond apartments. The room was perfect and the price was great. Having ones own kitchenette was wonderful. The only downside (and I'm stretching for this) is that it is a bit of a walk to the royal mile, princess street, and the bus/train station (15 minute walk).

Ideal with its private kitchen which allows you to have breakfast or dinner inside, in front of the TV. Makes you feel more at home. Good if you are travelling for a long time and need a place to be a bit lazy. Not that far away from the centre at all. A tesco is very close. Nice park south-west of the hotel.

En buena situación. Lo suficientemente cerca de la Milla Real y a la vez en una zona tranquila (aunque también sea residencia de estudiantes). Todo perfecto!! Lo recomendaría por precio calidad. La única pega, por poner alguna, es que no limpian el apartamento ni hacen la cama ni cambian toallas, pero para mi tampoco es ningún problema. Hotelli hyvällä sijainnilla, lähellä nähtävyyksiä ja baarikatua. Ainoa miinus oli puuttuva kahvinkeitin ja petauspatja. Henkilökunta palvelualtista ja mukavaa.

Nosotros estuvimos en un apartamento de 2 plantas y nos sorprendió muy gratamente, tanto por su amplitud como por lo atractivo de la decoración. Está totalmente equipado para poder realizar cualquier comida, tiene plancha y una mesa con conexión para el ordenador. Está situado en una zona residencial muy tranquila con cafeterías, bares y supermercados […] a la vuelta de la esquina,cerca de Holyrood Park. Importante que del apartamento a la Royal Mile 10 minutos andando y a la estación de Weverley (conexión con el aeropuerto en autobús en 30 minutos) 20 minutos andando tranquílamente. Modern planlösning av lägenheten. Välutrustad med 2st platt-tv , komplett köksutrustning i bra skick. Fräscht badrum. Kostnadsfri värdebox i lägenheten. Hotellbyggnaden kändes säkert med det elektroniska passagesystemet med den "tagg" man fick vid incheckning. Vår lägenhet låg mot huvudgatan men stördes ej. Nära till bra livsmedelsbutik. L'appartamento si trova su una traversa di una via molto centrale, ed ha intorno moltissimi luoghi di interesse culturale ma anche molti ristoranti e pub. Nel sito c'erano le foto dell'appartamento che doveva avere anche il soppalco, ma il nostro appartamento non lo aveva, quindi lo spazio a disposizione era poco (il letto era incassato tra le pareti);la […] camera era anche piuttosto impolverata; il bagno e la cucina erano comunque puliti e nuovi. C'è la connessione ad internet, ma per connettersi bisogna pagare (10 sterline per 3 giorni) e la connettività è bassa. Per il resto io consiglierei questi appartamenti per coppie che vogliono avere una certa indipendenza e spostarsi attraverso la città senza problemi. Читати далі
