We had a wonderful stay, the staff was very helpful and the hotel was very clean. I just think the description should mention the $15 per day parking fee.

"Hampton Inn in Potland, Maine"
This is an excellent place to stay. Easy walking to all of Portland. Clean room, hot breakfast buffet included. Very nice atmosphere. Parking is $15 a day. Can't wait to go back!
"Great Portland Hotel"
Even though we didn't have a view of the ocean, the room and accommodations were great! Very close to all of the Old Port attractions, and they offer reasonably priced parking during your stay. They even let us drop off our car before we could check in to the hotel so we could start sightseeing. We will definitely stay there again!

Hotel was very clean. Staff was very nice and accomadating. We had a wonderful room. Cot bed was a full twin mattress. The resturant was also nice.

"Extremely Nice Place"
The hotel, new, was clean and the staff (especially the Breakfast man) were great. It was hard to believe this was a Hampton Inn, as usually they are fine, but nothing special. This one is a block from the Hilton Garden Inn, another Hilton property, which also looked nice, but was more expensive. I took a peak, and the only differences I could see were […] the Hampton had disposable cups, napkins, etc. and the lobby of the Hilton Garden was larger. The pool at the Hampton was larger than that of the Hilton Garden Inn (which had a spa). The Portland, Maine Hampton Inn has spacious rooms, comfortable, clean, beds, and also microwaves and mini-fridges where you could put your own stuff. That's a great feature when you are traveling with children, and/or are staying for more than one night. We were fully stocked by a great italian grocery 2 streets away, so we did not have to go out for every meal. This particular Hampton Inn's rooms were comparable to those I have stayed in at the higher "Hilton" tiers. My children enjoyed swimming a lot (fun in winter) and Portand has many great restaurants and attractions. You can't go wrong with the Portland Hampton. I highly recommend it. Читати далі

Hampton Inn is a very nice hotel. We loved the location, the beautiful room and the heated floor in the bathroom! Very, very nice time.

"Nice Hampton"
Good location in downtown Portland. Attached restaurant, which is always nice - although I cannot comment on the food becuase we did not try it.

Good rates, right next to the harbor side with its fine restaurants, ferry to the islands, etc. An easy walk to the art museum and the movies.
Great hotel, great location and great staff. Had an amazing time and will stay there again for my next visit to Portland. Looking forward to my next trip! Not sure why it's only rated 2.5 stars should be rated much much higher.
"Close to Old Port Portland"
The hotel is fairly new and neat, quiet and clean. Staff was very helpful . The Sebgo Brewing REstaurant is attached making a quick or late meal easy. Best of all its located at one end of teh Old Port making it easily accessible.

"Perfect location for our stay in Portland!"
While this wasn't our first choice for hotels, it turned out to be awesome! Very new, clean, and the staff was quite accomodating. The location was a little further away from our concert than where we usually stay, but it was still within an easy walk to the venue. I would stay here again, no question!

...warm up was Friday night in the suite directly above our room. Despite call to the desk, the "warm up" continued to 3:00 AM. On Saturday night when we returned to the hotel after dinner I commented to the desk clerk about the prior night. It was he that told us that Friday night was the warm up and that the real bachelor party was Saturday night. […] We asked for room change and were advised that hotel was "completely booked". "Best Place to Stay in the Old Port....but"
I have stayed in quite a few hotels in the Old Port, and this is my favorite over all of them. It is walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, bars, etc. It is one of the newest hotels in the area so everything is very modern and updated. The only thing I am disapointed in is the parking. Most recently I went there with 3 of my friends, and we […] all met there, so we all had separate vehicles. There was a $15 charge for each vehicle. We loved our quick escape from Boston between Christmas and new years. We checked in at 4:00 and we were in the pool by 4:15! After a few hours in the pool area, we went to sabago brew house attached to the hotel. Great beer, kids meals, (and beers to go ;) ) We had late night revelers next door to us but it didn't bother our girls. This is a really nice new hotel with great service and I would stay here again, but I found it really annoying that there is a wide open parking lot adjacent to the hotel but you are not allowed to simply park your car there. You must use valet service to park your car for you and valet service to retrieve your car which is maybe 30-50 feet away from […] you. The only thing that I feel was an inconvenience was the per day charge to park on Hotel property. I feel tha this was excessive and on top of that, you could only retrieve and park via the Valet, which added to the expense. Either charge for the parking lot or charge for the Valet Parking but not both.

Pictures didn't really do it justice. I travel tons for work and this place had friendly staff, awesome location to the Old Port and easy access to the highway, nice rooms and was rather clean.

From arrival to departure, I can't say enough! All the bellman staff were excellent but Brian was especially helpful and courteous. Front desk staff was kind, cheerful and knowledgeable. Requests were quickly met with smiles. Hotel itself was lovely, clean and nicely appointed. Breakfast was in a great location and lobby area was welcoming and comfortable. We have stayed in a number of hotels in this price range this year and these one ranks tops. We were very pleased from the desk to the room. Very pleasant and helpful clerks and the room was very nice. It had the feel of a much more expensive hotel. The auto valet service was reasonable and a bonus for us.
