Tune Hotel - Haymarket, Edinburgh - Едінбург

This is the smallest double bed room we have ever had. Near the window you had to sidle down and across the end of the bed. If the foldout shelf was down you couldn't get get out. There was no room for bags larger than overnight bags no chair.

We were a bit dubious about the hotel having read some reviews, but If you want a clean hotel, a comfy bed and a hot shower in a very central location then this could not be better. There's no frills but you don't pay for any and the staff go out of their way to be helpful. Very decent budget hotel. The room was pretty compact but smartly designed and there was adequate space for the 2 of us and a fair bit of luggage, if only just. I think it is perfect for an overnight/weekend break, but would probably stay somewhere else if it were for a longer time. Really Great hotel and excellent value! But remember to pack towels, hair dryers & iPads (entertainment) or you will have to pay extra - £3 for a tv per day! Also no breakfast , but loads of cafes nearby. I would stay there again!

This hotel is an absolute bargain if you're visiting Edinburgh and plan to spend more time visiting the historic city than hanging around your hotel room (and with all Edinburgh has to offer, who wouldn't?). The hotel location was approx 15 mins walk to Princes St and central area. Easy walk to bars and restaurants in surrounding area. The hotel was new and standard was good for a budget style hotel. Fab hotel, very clean still smells brand new. Great shower free upgrade with Expedia wish I'd been told before I'd travelled would have cut down baggage. Would defo stay again absolute bargain. Lovely receptionists very friendly , the only thing I would add to the room is a drawer for for underwear, maybe put a drawer under the bed for space.

This hotel was in a perfect location for a little stroll into the centre. Takes you around 10 mins to walk to Princes street and 20 mins to the castle and Royal Mile. Room was quite small but nothing to fuss about - everything was clean and spotless! The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would really recommend staying here!

Stayed at the recently opened (Jan 2013) Tune in Haymarket for the Ireland Scotland rugby game. The rates were impressive if you are not bothered about any extras, such as minibar or room service. This new built hotel is neat and has a good location. You can go to the city center without taking a bus, 15-20 min. walk. Be careful check in is at 15.00; we had to wait until that hour and each luggage you leave costs 2€. TV costs extra too. We didn't watch so it was not a big deal. Boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights, he lives in Edinburgh for uni, I was visiting but didn't want to stay in cramped student halls! First impression, very bright, colourful, modern and clean, staff were helpful. Location is great as well, straight across from Haymarket train station, meaning no need to lug around bags for very long. Not even a 10 minute walk into the centre, Princes street and the castle, but if you don't want to walk there are plenty of bus services, very reliable too. Only downside was there was quite a few roadworks going on as they're building tram lines, blocked paths etc but other than that it was fine. We were staying overnight for the Rugby and wanted an inexpensive comfortable room....this was exactly what we got. This hotel is just opposite the train station so it is really easy to find and very central, however the room I had was very small (only space for a bed and space to walk around the bed) and only had a few places to hang clothes. There was also a hair dryer, safe, internet and TV in the room, which in certain circumstances you have to pay extra for (However because I booked it through Expedia when I did all those extras were included in the price I paid). The bathroom was also clean and the shower had plenty space to move around and was quite powerful. The members of staff were very friendly and helpful and you need a room key to get to the lifts and in the corridors of the hotel so it was very secure. Eigentlich war der Aufenthalt sehr angenehm (sehr gemütliche Betten). Da aktuell bis 2014 in Edinburgh eine Straßenbahn gebaut wird ist leider ziemlich viel Baustelle vor der Tür. Durch den unschlagbaren Preis (erst recht für diese Lage) wird auch viel junges Puplikum angezogen. Da die Zimmer relativ hellhörig sind war eine Nacht ziemlich laut. smilende og servicemindet personale ser nyt og velholdt ud wi-fi på værelserne virker godt ligger godt i forhold til centrum, gode spisesteder, hyggelige pubs etc, og så holder lufthavnsbussen næsten uden for døren IKKE TILFREDSSTILLENDE Har rejst meget rundt i verden og er første gang jeg IKKE får rent håndklæde hver dag, og de kalder sig 3 STJERNET. […] Vi måtte hænge våde håndklæder på den ene knage som var til dette. Her kan alle våde håndklæder så hænge sammen. Ret uhygiejniske. Får først rengøring og rene håndklæder efter 3 nætter, og det er selvom man som os skal have 4 nætter. Ingen flex så vi kunne få rengøring og rene håndklæder efter 2 nætter. Vi har betalt alt hjemmefra til et 3 stjernet hotel og så er den standard lang fra god nok. Det er ikke små værelser men MEGET små værelser hvor man må skiftes til at tage tøj på og der kun lige er plads til at åbne en kuffert. Næsten ingen plads til tøj på selve værelset. Men alt på værelserne og hotellet ser fint og nydeligt ud. Om det er flot eller ej er en smagssag. Første gang jeg har været ude for at skulle give penge for at have min bagage opbevaret . Normalt en del af servicen. Tror let man lader sig narre af det flotte look, og der er tv på værelset. Det går for at være 3 Stjerner, og så må det basale som rengøring og rene håndklæder helt sikkert være i orden. Om man vil bo i en skotøjsæske er en smagssag for værelserne er MEGET små.
