"Amazing as always "

This is the second time I have stayed in this hotel on business and was very pleased to see that even under new ownership the quality of the hotel has not waivered. The staff here are incredible there is a wonderful server in the lobby bar named Dominik I cannot say enough about this gentleman he is by far one of the best staff members I have encountered in all of my travels. All in all the kempinski stays one of the must stay places for business in Munich
"Excellent but expensive"
30/01/2015 Peter H Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Munich airport has a large conference centre and the Hilton is adjacent to this, an obvious place to stay. There is also a shopping centre with McDonalds, supermarket etc so one doesn't have to pay sky high hotel prices for a basic meal, beer etc. Unfortunately this is where low prices end. This is an expensive hotel. I paid over 200 euro on their winter sale for a room. Then there was the 15 Euro for the internet and the 34 Euro (!!) for the breakfast, so 250 Euro in all. The hotel itself was excellent; friendly staff, good sized room, 24 hour gym, swimming pool. It was also very grand in design and did look very impressive. I have no complaints about the hotel itself, but they really need to provide free wifi for these prices - every modern business traveller expects wifi, and they should really be including breakfast also - every traveller needs breakfast. I doubt that I will stay here again by choice, just too expensive.
"Impressive hotel, cozy room but hysterical front desk"
30/01/2015 Jazzumbo Brasov, Romania
My flight arrived later than scheduled (about 2 hours later) and this banal situation triggered a lot of problems. I planned to meet my girlfriend on Munich airport, as I was returning from a business trip in South Africa and she was coming from a business trip in Belgium. I booked a room at Kempinski Munich Airport hotel (it was in December 2014, so the hotel was named Kempinski) and I secured the reservation with my credit card. I made the reservation in the name of my girl friend as she was supposed to land in Munich like 50 minutes before myself. I only did not expect my flight delay when I made the booking. Anyway, the front desk personnel asked my girlfriend to pay cash for the room. My girlfriend explained them that I'm on the way, it's just a flight delay - nothing to get worried about. She was told that as long as she can not pay by using the card that I secured the reservation with, she must pay cash or wait for me two hours in the terminal. My girlfriend paid for the room, she got the key but ... shortly after she entered the room, the housekeeping lady arrived and removed everything from the minibar! Without explanations!! One year passed since then and I'm still trying to understand the reaction of the reception staff ... Otherwise, the bed was excellent, the hotel's architecture was stunning ...
"very convenient for early flights"

I have stayed a couple of times before at this hotel. i usually stay there the night before transatlantic flights the next morning. the past couple of years its was branded as a Kempinski. This year it got re-branded as Hilton but apart from the different labels i do not think there were any changes to the rooms. The hotel is very convenient located between the two airport terminals. certainly a walking distance and it is possible to enter the room with your luggage cart. I arrived much earlier than check in time (around 10:00 am), nevertheless i was immediately assigned to my room. Staff throughout the hotel was very courteous and helpful. Certainly no complains about that. Only complain would be the lack of free internet access in the rooms. I think they do have free wifi in the lobby. The more expensive rooms and suites do have a complimentary internet access but the cheaper ones do not. Price paid was around 150 euros for a night. certainly not particularly cheap considering there was no breakfast or internet included but all in all i was happy with the room and location. Despite the proximity to the airport, rooms are extremely quite. Access to downtown Munich is extremely easy. takes about 45 minutes with the train.
"Our Gateway Back to the States"

Stayed one night at the end of September, 2014. It was still a Kempinski Hotel at that time. This is our third stay at this location; each time has been the night before our departure back to the states. Beautiful hotel. Great service. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Complementary limo ride to Terminal 1. Easy walk to terminal 2. 2 minute walk to the Airbrau restaurant and brewery in terminal 2. We will be back if we fly through Munich in the future.

Have stayed at the Kempinski for many years, this hotel is now Airport Hilton. It's more or less the same with same staff. Within Airport complex so very convenient. Restaurant is expensive with breakfast at 32 euros, but there is a cheaper quick option for 12 euros. That said I would recommend a short walk back into Terminal 1 where there are at least 3 competitive options and good value. Rooms are pretty much standard shame that there is no tea/ coffee facilities in the room. Big negative is charges for Internet in rooms. Free in public areas but these days a real cheek to charge when paying reasonable rates. Apart from that ok join Hhonours to get some points for what they are worth
"Right in the airport - Was Kempinski"
22/01/2015 AntonFiskviken Gothenburg, Sweden
If you're after proximity to Munich international airport, this has to be the hotel for you. Very unique and excellent staff. Old style bathroom, but that's not uncommon in Germany. No free wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby, and that didn't work.
"Now a Hilton"

Lovely accommodations Perfect for the last night before a early morning flight! Hotel breakfast too ridiculously high 34.5 Euros a person, but airport has LOTS of choices. Crazy amount to pay for internet.
"Location but no wi-fi"
07/01/2015 nic1954 Singapore, Singapore
We checked into the hotel the day they changed from Kempinski to Hilton so it was a bit confusing to find at first as much of the signage was not updated. Check in and check out was friendly but a bit slow I guess due to initial teething problems. We were upgraded to a comfortable airport facing room with no noise of the planes. The hotel staff and some kids were building a snowman outside and since we are from Singapore we took the opportunity for a play in the snow! We had a great cocktail at the bar - the house special called 85 something or other although no one knew why it was called this. For dinner we ate in one of the many airport restaurants which are better value than the hotel. My only complaint about this hotel was the exorbitant cost of wi-fi. I got the impression this was a new Hilton charge as the receptionist was clearly embarrassed when she told me the price. Come on Hilton no one charges for wi-fi any more and I saw several guest grumbling about this when we were there. I would definitely choose this hotel again though
"Kempinski was much better"
07/01/2015 freundlein Doha, Qatar
Arriving as one of the first guests checking in at the "newly" opened Hilton Munich Airport, the problem started already... No porter available to help us with suitcases of 4 people, check-in without computer system, only one credit card reader available, one key per room which ended up in getting stuck at the ground floor, because the elevator only works with the room key. Check-in including baggage stowage took about 40 minutes (!). Room was not clean, dust here and there, curtain was loose at one end, TV remote did not work, no slippers, no bathrobe, only one free 0.2l bottle water for a double room (?), 6 Euro/hour for WLAN (??), the steamroom and the whirlpool at the SPA where out of service. Staff was not as friendly as we have been used to from the Kempinski staff. Payed almost 200 Euro per room (we had two rooms) for this experience... A long way to go for Hilton to catch up with the Kempinski Standard, if they are ever able to...
