"Great staff and location for a day room"

Checked in while waiting for a 12 hour layover. Walked quickly to the hotel. Met the front desk personnel who checked us in and walked us to the elevator. Most hotels point you in the general direction, but we always appreciate those that take an extra effort. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and perfect to get some rest. If yo9 have a long layover, it is highly recommended.
"I stayed here when it was a Kempinski Hotel and vowed not to come back - gave it a try because it converted to Hilton."

A flashback - Hilton Munich Airport Hotel, This place, in its previous life was operated as a "Kempinsky "hotel and was then a poorly run hotel. It is now managed by Hilton and I frankly do not see any improvements. The rooms /furniture looks tired and are in urgent need of replacement/renovation. The service at the front desk is good, as a few young and enthusiastic agents try to sort out and overcome all kinds of shortcomings. The hotel offers internet for free in the lobby – it is the same slow connection the Munich Airport is offering for free. In room they offer a three tier connection – one is for 24 hours at 19 Euros per device and does not work or if by accident works it kicks one off and one is constantly logging on. The wifi function does not work so one is relegated to sit at the desk for hours logging on and battling a poor connection. I just do not get it –when will the branded hotels understand that internet connection in room today is as essential as in the old days a in room bath room was mandatory , of aircondition or running water. It is a Shame – as a business hotel it should /must improve. The Breakfast is impressive in terms of offerings - at 34 euros per person. Prohibitively expensive but very good! There is no next time for me to stay here. I will stay at the Marriott Munich Airport which is a much better. less expensive choice. Sorry!

"A little pricey but very convenient"

Stayed here at the end of a long business trip in Europe. We parked in front of the hotel and checked in and put our bags in the room. I then drove across the street and dropped off the rental car and walked back to the hotel. This made morning flight so much easier. All we had to do that morning was walk through the terminal and drop off our bags and pick up our boarding passes. The hotel itself is very modern and the room was well appointed with a comfortable bed. I would definitely stay here again when travelling on business.

Having stayed here many times in the past, a good spot for the night before an early morning flight, I expected the level of service from the past owners but was rather disappointed. The internet did not work - had to call three times over a period of time for a tech. Then the internet was terribly slow (18Euros). Two of the main lights in my room near the desk did not work so it was very dark. Someone came from the lobby and fixed the fuse box and then only one worked. The safe did not work. The pizza I ordered for dinner by room service was underdone and inedible. The staff were nice but all these issues added up to a disappointing stay. I would not recommend it.
"Normal room poor connectivity "

Pros: - nice room - good gym - very nice swimming pool - located in the airport terminal (very convenient although is 40 mins away from the city) Cons: - very very bad internet connection (@18€ a day is almost like they are fooling the customer) especially for a business hotel like this one. I was very disappointed (I couldn't download a 10mb attachment from a mail...) - very impersonal. The reception is almost hide in a huge lobby. - few people attending (I had to wait both at checkin and checkout and it was at non peak hours) -
"Clean impeccable although somewhat pricey"

For the convenience of being within walking distance from airport terminal and very clean spacious rooms this hotel probably beats the competition hands down. Also, the buffet breakfast was super. These traits justify the higher price, but one could debate how much extra you want to pay for a airport hotel for a 6-10 hr layover. The lack of a coffee maker in the room was disappointing, as was the absence of an alarm clock you normally find on the bedside table. But getting a late checkout wasn't a problem, and the relative calm and quiet, zen-like.
"Expensive But Worth it for Convenience"

I recently stayed one night at this hotel enroute back to the US after an exhausting trip. I could have flown straight home, but chose to break up the flights and stay at the airport. It was a wonderful choice, relaxing and refreshing. I soaked in the tub and enjoyed a good nights sleep in a room that had nice amenities. The included breakfast was excellent with many choices and the 5 minute walk to and from the gates was a god-send. It was expensive but well worth it for the convenience and lack of hassle. My only complaint...only free WiFi in the lobby. These chains have to rethink their policies about Wifi. Pretty much even the smallest hotel anywhere in the world offers free WiFi now in the rooms. Otherwise this is a great choice and the front desk was welcoming and helpful and my room was ready when I arrived.
"Value for Money"

Location was perfect for a stress free international departure. We could have easily walked to the departure terminal but were driven which made it easier & quicker. We choose a dinner/room rate direct with Hilton which made it great value for money for a family of 5. Dinner was high end cuisine which we all enjoyed, breakfast the best we've had for some time! Rooms were fine, beds comfortable, room temperature could be adjusted for a good nights rest. Only negative is limited WIFI and paying for internet. Service at check in was extremely good
"A Hotel That Has Gotten Worse"
15/03/2015 Arun S Chicago, Illinois
This hotel was a Kempinski before it changed to a Hilton. It has changed for the worse. The rates are very expensive, the rooms sparse and the amenities scarce (no place to sit in the lobby, thin towels, limited shampoos/creams etc.). The restaurant staff is rude and tries to avoid guests. The most egregious aspect of the hotel are the Internet charges. They say that they provide free internet is the lobby – the service is patchy and you cannot remain connected for more than 2 minutes. The daily Internet charges are 18 euros per day which is more expensive than what I paid for Internet on a trans-continental Lufthansa flight (the Internet on the flight was better than the one at Hilton).
