Where to Shop in Cheltenham - Upscale Boutiques, Independent Shops, and a Bustling High Street

Strolling on The Promenade
The leafy avenue known as The Promenade was established in 1818. Flower beds and public artworks, like the 19th-century Neptune statue, decorate the area, creating an atmospheric vibe in which to shop. You'll find upscale boutiques like that of London-based women's fashion designer Karen Millen, as well as family-owned precious metal jewelers Hooper Bolton. There are also more familiar brands represented, including French beauty chain L'Occitane and women's fashion retailer Monsoon.

The Brewery and retail parks
On the site of a former brewery from 1760 is the Brewery leisure complex. This popular mall houses numerous restaurants, 2 premium movie theatres, and a large bowling alley. From here it's a 10-minute cab ride along Tewkesbury Road to 3 adjacent retail parks: Centrum Park, Gallagher Retail Park, and Cheltenham Kingsditch Retail Park. Hopping between the 3, you can shop for everything from organic delicacies at Whole Foods Market to the latest fashions at Next and Outfit.

Montpellier shopping district
The period architecture and tree-lined streets of Montpellier's shopping district make it an excellent spot to spend a leisurely afternoon in Cheltenham. High Street and shopping malls
Cheltenham's pedestrianized High Street has a number of popular chain stores, including Marks & Spencer, Topshop, and HMV. There are also 2 indoor malls. Regent Arcade houses TK Maxx, Thorntons chocolate shop, and fashion retailer River Island, among others. Beechwood Shopping Centre is anchored by major department store Debenhams, and also contains plus-sized fashion retailer Evans.
