"Location is brilliant for getting to so many places. The hotel is clean and the staff really helpful. The size of the room was a bit of a shock. I booked a superior single room; it is the smallest hotel room I have ever been in."
"NO ONSITE PARKING. Hotels.com shows that parking is available, but it’s in a garage a couple of blocks away and the garage is really dirty. Reasonable rate though. The hotel itself is excellent, great location and really nice."
"For a hotel of this calibre it’s not the stay we were expecting, the staff weren’t very accommodating, the breakfast wasn’t fantastic, I also asked the hotel prior to our stay about putting something in the room for my partners birthday which they never done. After visiting Manchester for the last 10 years and stopping around the corner at the Edwardian we decided to give the midland a go and sadly am very disappointed."
"The buffet was a signature service at 25 BP per day. They serviced a full English breakfast with machine made cappuccinos. My wife rated Zappos at 3 for their weakness; Illy, however, was a five; a coffee shop that is onsite within the hotel."
"The room was basic, clean and roomy. We did not have a view. I was a little disappointed but honestly, we were constantly leaving to go see and do things in wonderful London. Carolina at the check in front desk was so kind and accommodating. We were able to store our luggage until our room was ready. Great restaurants were all around this hotel. Shops, museums, and historic places all around us. We are coming back and staying here again!"
The Edwardian Manchester, A Radisson Collection Hotel
2/10 Terrible
"Great location, but disappointing overall. Stayed for a week and one of the three elevators was out of service the entire time. The other two were extremely slow, with waits over 15 minutes on multiple occasions, causing me to be late for an appointment. Rooms are not well soundproofed, especially on weekends. I also noticed a torn bed cover and dust in the room. Not what I would expect from a 5-star hotel."
"We had a good experience with Navel in the front desk. He took great care of us and allowed us to check in early so we could freshen up before we went out exploring. The bed was super comfy as were the pillows, which are very important to me. The bathroom was just OK and a little outdated. Needs a face-lift. No night light in the bathroom and the bathroom door doesn't stay open. We had to have the front office reset the television so it would work. AC took awhile to cool the room. It was an older hotel so that's what we expected but probably won't go back. Front desk staff were very nice."
