Fantastic, authentic castle with such history and higgledy piggledy corridors. It was our anniversary and we were welcomed with an anniversary card which was a nice touch. The staff were excellent. We only had breakfast which was delicious and staff were efficient and friendly. The food in the library looked good. We had a courtyard room and were very happy with it. If you're expecting modern, corporate decor it might not be for you but we liked it and so nice to stay in a castle with character....

Lovely lady greeted me on arrival and even carried my suitcase up the stairs for me. Room was clean and comfortable bed. Although I was asked to leave after I made a comment on a few things that were wrong i e wash basin loose light pull switch not working and no disabled bays the rest was spot on lovely bed shower TVs etc . had a nice stay I was there for a funeral and didn't appreciate being asked to leave as I was quite happy with location and the room and price
