"The property itself was spotless. I didn't see a speck of dust. It is obviously cleaned pretty much daily. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was good. The kitchen was clean and had everything you needed. I would add some baking trays and oven gloves but apart from that it was great! The bedroom was clean and tidy. The windows had all been opened beforehand to air out the house. Towels were provided for each person which was handy as my girls forgot theirs. The beds were quite hard but...

"Please ignore any historical reviews about the hotel and its previous need of modernisation. The hotel has had a complete refit - in fact I was speaking to a hotel maintenance employee, he said that the floor I was staying on had quite literally had a refit the previous week! Good value for money, and literally next door to Stoke on Trent railway station (It's the old station hotel) I would not hesitate to stay there again."

The only negative was that we hadn’t realised that bathroom would be downstairs, which resulted in the kids being a bit anxious about going on their own, as it’s a shared house and they weren’t comfortable wandering around the house on their own with strangers. To access the property, there is a steep and narrow winding stair case . The bathroom is en-suite but there was no working shower . The radiator was on full heating all night making the room uncomfortably hot. There is a TV monitor placed on the table , not fixed.
