"Right in the centre of Carlisle close to station, carpark right behind hotel with direct entrance to hotel. Room simple but clean and sound proof considering we were near the bars. Comfy bed and there’s a Kettle and hair dryer in room. Pool table and table football game in lobby nice bar area Staff friendly would stay again"

"The owner is very nice and friendly and gives a warm welcome and personal touch. We want to the restaurant and had pulled pork, chicken tikka and vegetable tikka. We highly recommend the chicken and vegetable tikka. Delicious! Came very fast, hot and good value too."

"Cheap cheerful stay. Staff were excellent! Can't complain for the price, 2 comments for improvements would be to have a seating area outside and security keys into the bedroom area, that said, staff we're super helpful and welcoming. Snacks and drinks onsite to purchase, parking easy and great location for us."

"Had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Horse & Farrier. Room was excellent with great facilities , Comfy bed , iron and ironing board , hairdryer and lovely big shower. full size fridge and wine glasses and a sink complete with fairy liquid, great if wanting to eat in as there was also knives and forks in a drawer. We had a meal on the second night which was really good. The staff were amazing ,really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. There is a bus stop directly outside and buses...

"This was the best B&B by far I have ever stayed in. The room was spotless and a very comfy bed. The full Cumbrian breakfast was delicious and plenty of it, There was also a good alternative menu aswell. But if you decide to have an evening meal you are in for a real treat. Darryl is a trained Chef and the meals he serves are amazing."
