"What a lovely little pub. Ideal for walkers, runners, cyclists etc. Very friendly staff. We had a very good evening meal on arrival day and breakfasts are superb. All food is freshly cooked to order. We shall definitely return and take our walking boots with us next time."

"A fantastic place to stay for a few nights. A great base to explore the Peak District with a good bus link to the area. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Food was much better than expected for pub food. Breakfast included was a perfect size and all local produce. We stayed for one night, got the bus into Castleton and back to see a concert in Devils Arse. We couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay and would thoroughly recommend"
